I started the sinclair method over two years ago. It really was my last hope I tried everything AA, hypnotherapy, acupuncture you name it I tried it. I have the most amazing understanding sinclair practitioner called Joanna She's amazing she is there If I need her. The sinclair method has dramatically changed my life for the better.

I reached out to the Sinclair team after trying every other option. The results thus far have been amazing. My consumption has reduced considerably. Such a helpful and encouraging team.

I started the Sinclair method mid-December. I have had unhealthy habits with alcohol since my teens and whilst I wouldn't classify myself as an "alcoholic," I most definitely can admit that I have AUD.

I work in hospitality and drinking is part of the culture. 2024 was a heavy, eye-opening year for me. I found myself going out, whether it be for work events or catch ups with friends, telling myself I will only have 2 and stumbling home, waking up the next morning not remembering how I got into my bed. After stressful work meetings, I would go to the pub and have a drink to blow off steam. Before stressful work meetings, I'd drink with lunch. Every night, I'd drink and use the excuse that I was studying for my Level 3 Wines. The truth is, I really couldn't stop THINKING about wine. Every single situation in my life was revolving around it and I ended up hating myself the following day with immense hangxiety and horrific hangover. I lost days of my life - precious moments with my son - to alcohol. It was at the end of the year where I, once again, went overoard during a Christmas lunch party. Lunch turned into more wine at a hotel bar and the rest is a pretty bleak story. The next morning, I was so ashamed of myself and knew I had to make a change. It was time.

I had read about the Sinclair Method and had previously reached out but decided at the time not to go through with it. This time was different though. I knew that this was what I needed to do to get my AUD under control.

From day one, I felt so much more in control. Adrian and the team have been absolutely incredible at being there through the entirety of the process. Whether that's via email or phone, they are there unconditionally, which is what you need when you are going through this exprience of trying to better yourself.

One little pill is all it has taken to completely change my outlook on alcohol. Although it has only been a short time that I've been doing the Sinclair Method, the results have been life changing.

I was an "early responder," and whilst at the beginning I found myself thinking about alcohol loads, this has dissipated and I have filled my life with so many other wonderful things now that I am not consumed by it.

Whenever I go out, I take my pill and have one or two. I don't even crave another one. I drink infinitely less - I went alcohol free nearly the entirety of January and the difference in my mood, skin, disposition, everything has truly been changed for the better. I am happier, calmer, clearer, able to think through things more rationally, carry on thoughtful conversations, read more, learn more.

Yes, there have been moments where I have been extremely stressed where I would love a glass to take the edge off but I am recognising the trigger patterns and addressing them accordingly.

To anyone who is considering the Sinclair Method and wanting to truly change their relationship with alcohol, I urge you to take the plunge. You will not regret it. I really do believe it has changed my life and will continue to help me make better decisions in the future.

I truly hope that one day The Sinclair Method is more widely available because it would help so many people in need. Addiction is real and alcohol can take a hold over your mind - The Sinclair Method knocks that lizard out of your brain for good as long as you stay compliant.

The staff took all necessary suitability checks and 121 discussions with clarity. I liken my experience to Ozempic for weight loss, the medication had immediate results and significantly reduced my alcohol consumption. After over 10 years of having a party for one every night with a bottle of wine (because i felt i deserved it), the quest for a reward at the end of each day has gone immediately.

I have spent the last decade, or longer, attempting to drink in moderation. I've tried everything: read a library full of books on the subject, including the highly informative The Naked Mind; gone on residential meditation and yoga retreats; kept a journal; paid £2k for a six week one on one 'stop drinking' course and, in my darkest moments, I've prayed. But, in the long term, nothing has worked and I've gone back to a pattern of all (all being a bottle of wine a night) or nothing which has been both emotionally and physically exhausting. But from taking my first pill under the caring and utterly professional guidance of Adrian and the Sinclair Method team, it felt completely different. I have only been taking Natrexone for a month but have absolutely no hesitation in writing this review as my cravings have completely vanished. I'm still drinking in moderation but only socially and then it's only a couple of drinks. It's as if someone has waved a magic wand and I'm in the middle of a fairy tale: the princess - me; wicked witch - alcohol, and the handsome prince (one kiss from) - Natrexone. It really has taken zero effort and, believe me, I know what putting the effort in is (see above). You just need the desire to stop/cut down. I feel strongly that this drug should be freely available. Coincidentally I recently met an NHS doctor working in a drugs and alcohol clinic. I mentioned Natrexone to her and she said they used it to stop cravings but it seemed 'counter-intuitive' to use it alongside drinking. As we met at a social event I didn't reveal the fact I was taking the drug, so couldn't really advise her otherwise, and therein lies one of the problems as I believe it is only licensed in this country to be used along abstinence as an anti craving medication. Anyway, I am so so grateful to have been given this opportunity and would advise anyone to sign up without hesitation. It really is the kindest thing you can do for yourself.

I saw this in an article in the Times and thought I would give it a go. I was expecting it to be hard work to get engagement given the rush of interest following the article but Adrian and his team were very efficient and the whole process incredibly easy. It has proven to be very effective for me and has significantly improved my quality of life so for anyone needing to make a change, I would highly recommend it.

I’ve now been on the Sinclair Method for about three months and I almost can’t believe the extent to which my cravings and the desire to drink have faded. I now have more drink-free days in a week than I do days where I’m drinking. Previously, it took a lot of effort to resist cravings when I was abstaining from drinking, but now I find drink-free days almost effortless. Everyone’s experience with the method is different, from what I’ve read, so for me I still think I have another few months before the desire to drink is totally gone (‘extinction’) but this is fine by me, as although I have some way to go, the improvement in my quality of life already has been incredible!

The method has been life-changing for me, and it would not have been possible without the support of Sinclair Method UK. They took care of everything from doctor’s appointments and prescriptions and providing excellent support, encouragement and tips to make the most of the method. I cannot recommend them, and Adrian in particular, highly enough!

After a month of following the Sinclair Method, I have seen a massive improvement in my desire to drink.

Do not be discouraged by 4*s instead of 5. I am only just over a month into the programme. I read about the Sinclair Method in the Daily Telegraph and the article encouraged me the address my own drinking habits. With the encouragement of Adrian I have considerably reduced my alcohol intake and am no introducing ‘alcohol free’ days to my week. So far so good. I will report back in a few months.

As advertised - that little bit of extra help - but willpower is also required!
