No effort or willpower required, just compliance to take the pill an hour before drinking.

TSM has changed my life already. I'm only 10 weeks in and I am fully in control of my drinking now. It's still early days but I can see an alcohol free life on the horizon. I even have alcohol free days! The whole process with the Sinclair Method was hassle free and Adrian has been an absolute star.

I just wanted too shoot over this really quick testimonial of yet another effortless milestone that is coming up for me. 31/01/20 was the very last time I relapsed on alcohol. Feeling incredibly broken, lost and frankly ready to throw the towel in with life after 6 years of heavy abuse. I honestly didn't have another relapse in me. I left the crisis room in my local hospital and have never stepped foot in that place since. I can categorically say that TSM is the result of that. I text Joanna recently wishing her a Happy New Year and seriously had to cast my mind back to whether or not I MADE the decision to have a drink in 2023. Turns out a whole year passed without even touching a drop! This is the greatest decision I have ever made hands down. As always I'm so unspeakably grateful for the work of Joanna and her team. Take the leap of faith guys! Life on the other side is better than you could possibly imagine.

I have had a really negative experience with this company to the point that I felt compelled to write a review.

Firstly, the support they offer is a 1 hour monthly telephone call. If you are struggling with AUD, that really isn't enough, I don't care what they say. If you don't reach out to them, they assume you are ok and don't schedule an appointment.

I am really fortunate that I did the Annie Grace online programme so had a great support group.

When I mentioned in a FB group that I didn't think this company offered great support I received an email to try and work it out which I appreciated. Their solution was to remove me, tell their pharmacy not to fullfil my prescription, despite not knowing how many tablets I had left over xmas and New Year , and refund me £100. Leaving me in a state of panic and anxiety, although they did suggest I call around chemists to see if they could fulfill my remaining prescription.

There will always be two sides to every negative feedback, I know that. If you are looking for a company that is going to support you through a life saving change and you feel an hour a month will do that .... go ahead.

I personally was honestly disgusted by the lack of support, the lack of skill in resolving conflict and the absolute indifference to my ability to purchase Naltrexone as they blocked me from purchasing it from their pharmacy.

Working with Jo at the Sinclair Method UK has been fantastic. I only wished I had found her years ago.

I have always felt supported and never judged, I've never been made to feel guilty or even embarressed explaining how drinking was affecting my life.

To finally having an off switch to my drinking has made major changes to my life, and by following the Sinclair Method, and working with Jo, I now lead a normal life and still enjoy a beer or two!

I honestly cannot thank Jo at The Sinclair Method UK enough for giving me my life and control back.

Around four months ago, I was drinking far too much wine and beer. By chance I read about the Sinclair Method online and after a bit more searching I found The Sinclair Method UK. I sent Adrian an email one Sunday and got a response less than an hour later. I had a call with Adrian the next morning followed by a doctor’s consultation in the afternoon. 24 hours after sending the email, I had a prescription for 28 Naltrexone tablets and instructions for how to get them from the partner pharmacy.

I started the method a few days later. From the first pill, I had little desire to have anything more than one or two drinks in a sitting. I have experienced no side effects. My intake has reduced dramatically. The method has simply worked perfectly for me. Thank you to everyone associated with TSM UK and especially to Adrian for the help and support.

My story is probably very similar to many others on here. I was completely sick of alcohol ruling my life and despaired of abstinence based books/treatments/methods because I knew that however much I might be able to manage a period of abstinence, I was always at risk of going straight back to square one with one drink. TSM made sooo much more sense and having used Champix for quitting smoking (whilst smoking), I'd often thought that there should be something similar for alcohol! After 6 months on the treatment, I am finding so much joy in little things again - cups of tea, cuddles with my toddler, sunshine, a clean house - because my obsessive thinking about alcohol has all but disappeared. I now average 3-5 alcohol free days a week, and drink no more than 2 small glasses of wine on the days I do drink WITHOUT ANY WILLPOWER! Joanna from TSM is very approachable, non judgemental, and best of all she's been there, got the t-shirt - which makes a world of difference. Can't recommend the business and method enough.

It works, and the science doesn't lie!

Both the prescribed medication and the after service were very effective. It offers something that no other treatment does a controlled way to drink without binging and its negative psychological and physical consequences. I would thoroughly recommend the Sinclair method to anyone who wants to take control of their use of alcohol.

I cannot recommend TSM UK enough!

I always feel so supported and there is no judgment at all. There is a deep understanding from Joanna (but I'm assuming all staff as well) of the inner working of suffering from AUD and how it is not a character fault of the person experiencing it. There is just so much support as well as concrete strategies and medical insight into the condition that it feels well-rounded and always that there are experts are alongside you.

I've been following TSM for a while and finding some but not a ton of success. My brother 36yo (who also has AUD) was recently (maybe 6 months ago?) diagnosed with ADHD, and it made me start thinking...

So I (28yo F) went for my assessment and TADA I also have ADHD! Then in chatting with Joanna from Sinclair Method UK (as well as before I was diagnosed), she expressed how common these comorbidities are and that the self-medication as a result can be a huge factor in AUD. And of course it makes sense as we know anxiety and depression can lead to it as well.
I just want to encourage everyone who has an inkling that you might have ADHD or be neurodivergent in another way to get assessed if you can, especially if your drinking is an issue for you and you feel like TSM may not be working in the way you expect. The brain is a complex thing and while I was 'warned' not to have so much hope to start out with when I first get on ADHD meds, I have so much more hope in the long run. The diagnosis has started to give me some answers, and will give me even more in the future.

I can't begin to thank Joanna enough ❤ , and I could really tell how excited she was for me to have this diagnosis when we chatted on the phone. She also never feels like she is rushed to end the conversation (even though I know she must have so many appointments and conversations!). Just a lot of patience and human connection.

I am so excited to start 2024 out with a new perspective and new hope!

Right from the start I’ve felt that I could be totally honest, which is not always the case, and Joanna was very understanding and easy to get on with. The cost has been surprisingly reasonable and the response ro any questions is always quick.

The Sinclair method has been life-changing for me. It does what it says on the tin. Just take the pill and everything falls into place. Also I want to give a shout out to Adrian who is so supportive and easy to talk to. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

A weekend, 6 months ago i started looking for information when i found out the Sinclair method, that leads me to watch videos, read article and inform myself on subject.

I found that contacting the Sinclair method UK was the most appropriate way to start. Adrian help me to understand the method and accompany me through this journey. This journey has been filled with questioning, doubt and thinking. Adrian has always been patient, knowledgeable, understanding and available. He was always fast to answer and help me a lot.

Now a sober journey with no craving started, knowing that his help would be here, reassure a lot and help me to continue in the right direction.

It is only a shame that this method is not more widely available to people in Europe.
This comment is a bit of a way to give back as i am convince that the method can help a lot of people given that you have a willing to do it, listen and apply the advice.

I'm over three months into the Method and have seen a marked improvement in my drinking habits. Not out of the woods yet, but it is clear it is working - but you need to read the book, understand the drug and what it can and can't do. Adrian has been a great help and hugely supportive. I am recommending this to friends who also struggle.

After years spent battling with abstinence-based programmes, I came to a simple conclusion: prohibition breeds desire. The longer I denied myself any alcohol at all, the greater the explosion when I did succumb. Which is precisely why The Sinclair Method has been so revolutionary for me - after three months I have found myself drinking moderately, as and when I wish. No more bingeing, no more horror afterwards. TSM works and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I remember reading these reviews and thinking it's too good to be true....
Thirteen months on the transformation is miraculous, from heavy daily drinker suffering with crippling anxiety and depression to occasional social drinker. I am off my anxiety medication and working towards coming off my antidepressants.
With the support of this amazing organisation I got through a few teething problems, I put some work in myself and in less than 12 months. I have become a different person. Wine goes off in the fridge these days!

Another life transformed, I wish I could properly articulate my gratitude.

I spoke with Joanna this morning and went through the problems I had with my Gmail account receiving emails but not sending we discussed the contents of that email and now that all other medical issues have been resolved I am basically starting again. All I can say is when you send an email don't automatically assume it has been received.

A genuine, 'Why didn't anyone tell me about this before?' situation. I struggled with a growing dependence on alcohol for years and eventually realised my problem had turned into alcoholism. I tried all sorts of ways of controlling or abstaining and realised it was beyond my control. I found TSM via a TED Talk and within a week I had naltrexone in my cupboard. Four months on, cravings are a thing of the past and my drinking is down to 10 units/week. It feels like a miracle.

So I started to read all these reviews, and they all could have been written by myself. To be honest, I am a 66 year old male who had alcohol use disorder for 50 years. The impact of these reviews, and the fact that they are me almost made me cry. there is not much more I can add other than I wish there was a method where this could be brought to the world’s attention. TSM works!
