Oversight in women's body sizes
I contacted Simms customer support regarding women’s waders that do not fit me, despite my measurements being very typical. I wear a 6.5 shoe, size 12 pants, and have a 46-inch girth with a bit of extra room for a hoodie or zip-up layer. None of Simms’ women’s waders accommodate this size.
This is a major oversight. Women of my size are common, yet Simms’ women’s gear appears to be designed for a narrow body type. Meanwhile, Men’s gear accommodates much larger bodies, so this isn’t a technical limitation; it’s a design choice. That imbalance is frustrating and exclusionary, especially for a brand positioned as a leader in fishing apparel.
I emailed my measurements to customer support over a month ago and never received a response. Instead, I was sent a customer survey. The lack of follow-up reinforces the impression that women who fall outside limited sizing aren’t a priority.
If Simms wants to support women in sport fishing, it needs to expand women’s sizing and improve customer support responsiveness.

After reading the reviews blasting Simms for their level of service, I felt compelled to leave a review based on my experience. I had some wader boots fail, put a claim in, took pictures, marked the XXXX and threw them in the garbage. I called Simms to follow up to make sure they received the pictures. Someone answered the phone who was unbelievably pleasant and extremely helpful. They are sending me new boots free of charge. One last item...I asked if they could expedite the shipping but they set the expectation of a week or two, no worries. 3 days later, the boots showed up on my porch. Best experience I've had with customer service in a long time.

Imagine not giving warranty to a Simms G4 Pro jacket. Patagonia would never do that!

Simms is not what it used to be the customer service is terrible. Simms isn’t for real fisherman who fish simms only warranties and also simms mostly makes you pay for any repair. Simms expects the there waders to be returned looking brand new to even work on. I will never buy Simms again and I would recommend staying away from overpriced and poor quality product and customer arrive from Simms !
Window Sticker
I ordered a Simms window sticker since I own Simms waders and other gear. They sent it by Fed-Ex to my PO Box and I never got the package. Spoke with “JOE” with their customer service representative and they sent me the proof of delivery which had the wrong address. Simms “JOE” said it was out of their hands. I disputed the charge and will leave bad reviews. Still do not have my sticker and would not use it anyway.
Very disappointed with Simms
Very disappointed with Simms. I have a pair of their G4Z "Guide Waders" that I paid almost $1000 for, expecting a good quality product and a fair warranty. I'm not a guide, I'm a casual fly-fisherman that is out on the water 20+ times a year. These waders started leaking after just a few times on the water. Then after a while the tape started peeling off the booties. I sent these in to be fixed. The response I got was that were at the "end of their life"... too bad. Simms used to stand behind their products. After doing some research online I can find hundreds of other customers like me who expected better from Simms.

Terrible product and worse customer service
I bought Simms waders in April 2022, order placed from the official Simms EU seller, but this will be my last pair of Simms waders, I was a Simms customer for a long time, in more than 20 years I have bought several Simms products, including the previous waders, which I decided to replace with a new one after a long use.
This pair, purchased in 2022, has only been used 5 times in total, but I can no longer wear them due to poor water resistance, in fact after 10 minutes I am completely wet, not because they have broken somewhere, but due to the poor quality of the fabric and manufacturing, the layers of fabric are no longer welded and the seams do not do their job.
I am angry and, in fact, I will not buy a new pair of Simms as this one does not meet the standard it promises, and what is even worse is the customer service, contacted several times they never answered a single email. BAD!
AWFUL experience
AWFUL experience! Do not order from them directly. Go through another site, like Cabelas or Amazon if you want a Simms product. Working with them directly was a horrible experience and they cant ever seem to get a hold of their warehouse to see when a product will ship or what the problem is. No answers email updates on the status of your order or that it is delayed so you have to call customer service in which they never have an answer either. On the third attempt, I just canceled my order in which they still wouldnt give me a confirmation # that it was canceled. So, I have to call back this afternoon to supposably receive that.
2021 G4 boot cleats no longer to be supported
I have a pair of G4 Pro wading boots from 2022. This design has threaded inserts for studs or cleats. Apparently, this design has now been abandoned and no studs are available. They are selling out of cleats and won't support them any more once they are gone. This after the boots are just over 2 years old. Great service, Simms (sarcasm). My former loyalty has vanished. Grundens or Patagonia from now on.

Simms Wader warranty on lifetime repair is terrible…
Sent in a new set of waders and they claim 5-7 weeks to get them returned. Its been almost 16 weeks and I have sent at least 5 emails with no response. Thank goodness that I have my shipping paperwork. Been on hold for over 20 minutes trying to talk to someone to find out the status.
Leaky Waders. Horrible Customer Service
Bought a pair of Freestone waders. They leaked within several months. I thought Simms was a really good product. I sent the waders to Simms and they still stood behind their leaky product and wouldn’t send a replacement! But they are willing to ship my leaky waders back to me!!! Horrible customer service as well. Do not buy Simms waders. This company is all fancy marketing.
I'm not so sure about the new owner of Simms?
I have trusted Simms Fishing Products in the past but lately I have had some defective products. A boat bag fell apart on me after using it only three times. The same has happened with a waterproof knapsack. The handle came off after very little use. I realize that these things do happen and maybe it is just a fluke but the real reason I give Simms only two stars is their very poor customer service. I called and tried to leave a voice message but each time the call goes dead without my being able to leave any message.
I did receive what I considered to be an automated message telling me to ship the item to them for further evaluation. I may be able to do the repair myself without having to pay shipping. I just need to talk to somebody! Very frustrating!
Shameful Customer Service
I sent my Simms G3 waders in for a non-warranty repair. After 4 years of ownership,they developed a small leak and I figured Simms would do a better repair job then I could. After waiting a month for a response,they email me to inform me my waders are non repairable and they will be stamping them and banning my waders from future repairs. I have sent multiple emails and have tried calling but I cannot get ahold of anyone at the company. Anyway,they say they are shipping them back to me. I am in British Columbia, Canada. I get the tracking info, and just yesterday I get confirmation my package has been delivered....to an address in Montana. They sent my $1000 waders to a incorrect address in the incorrect country, and I still can't get ahold of anyone.
Thanks Simms, really made me confident in going with Patagonia from here on out.
Simms Tributary Waders = Sieve
Bought a pair of Simms Tributary waders. On literal first use they leaked all around the crotch area really badly. I returned them to the retailer and they were replaced. Second pair leaked on first use, same place. I thought I'd email Simms directly for their opinion on the situation (I wrote a friendly email to them). They ignored it so I contacted them on Facebook. They are ignoring me on there too. Fortunately I'm a Youtube content creator with a reasonable sized channel so will be warning my viewers against buying Simms products. Will never buy another Simms product myself. They simply don't want to know when there's an issue.

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Do not Buy. Buy another brand. Skwalla, Orvis, even Cabellas I don't care, just don't buy Simms if you don't want a leaky wader that the company won't support. I Specifically bought Simms Gore-tex waders from a regional retailer. First trip, seams leaked. Simms offered credit (NOT a refund), but that credit was not sufficient to buy another Gore-Tex wader from Simms. It wasn't even sufficient to buy the equivalent non-Gore Tex wader. Total BS. This was Simms fault in the first place, ruined my week-long fishing trip and now they won't fix it. Simms thinks they did a great job because they offered me a credit, but I have to use that credit on their website where all the prices are more expensive and it is not sufficient to buy another Gore-tex wader. Retailer got involved and tried to help, even offering to ship a replacement wader to me if Simms would transfer the credit to them, but Simms wouldn't even do that! We served them up a perfectly workable solution to fix the problem that they caused, and they wouldn't do it. Unacceptable. Go somewhere else.
The fit
I have recently bought another pair of waders from Simms and these are their pants waders and I am very happy with them. I went by their sizing chart exactly like they say to do and they fit perfectly. I’ve only used them once so the longevity is still not known but what sold me on these, for one thing they are Simms, and for another they have gotten great reviews.
