I took a storage paid for insurance and all changed my mind the next day, I phoned them to get a refund but I was told is not possible, lost my money £57 gone I need my money back.

Love and helpful staff and very easy to get my unit

I booked the storage on line and got a very good price. I had a little difficulty gaining access but was helped tremendously by Sarah who was on shift. Note that at Basildon you must have the APP to access the main entrance, this is not made clear if you book online. I then had difficulty downloading the app due to the applling lack of phone signal and wifi. I sorted it with the help from Sarah though. Thank you

Would like to reply to your condescending reply to me:

it’s not about being dissatisfied with your terms and conditions!!! How is telling me that I can cancel at anytime with no mention of a 15 day notice being transparent? If I’m point blank asking about your cancellation terms I should be told there and then?!!!!! If I go in to cancel why was I not told ‘you’ll be charged for the next month’ and given the option to keep it for the month ?? Explain the transparency here???

• Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 – businesses must not mislead consumers by action or omission.
• Consumer Rights Act 2015 – contract terms must be transparent, prominent, and fairly brought to your attention.

I asked “Can I cancel at any time?” and was told simply “yes” (without the 15-day condition), that is misrepresentation. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the small print — because I specifically asked, you had a duty to tell me. Suggesting I simply didn’t understand the terms is dismissive and inaccurate – I was misinformed.

It’s a scam. You’re the worst. I’ve used other storage companies and none were like this. I would URGE people to stay well away from you.

And I’ll be escalating this elsewhere via my bank and citizens advice until I get my £107 back.

Imagine expecting me to pay £107 for a service I didn’t use and be ok with it????

The building is clean and well maintained.

However, if you move out at the beginning of the month, you are still expected to pay for the full month and no money is refunded.
So you are advised to hand your notice 15 days before your invoice due date. A bit difficult when you have to leave at the beginning.

I should have stayed with safe store. Whom refund the remainder of the bill after the notice is given and I moved into Shurgard.

Would I use them again? No

A nice new building, with good prices, and very helpful staff. The only problem is when it's warm outside it gets very warm inside. Almost stifling round the lockers.

I called the number at the site on a sunday and was excellency and politely handled by the operative explaining my options.

One of the best and smoothest situations. I booked it online, someone called for more info closer to the moving date, we went there and all was automatic with an app and easy to use. Would def recommend them!

I’ve been using this storage place while my house is under renovation, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The facility is very well organized, clean, and secure. The prices are also very affordable compared to other options I looked into. Everything was smooth and stress-free — highly recommend!

Very easy to rent a unit, we did it on a Sunday too which was all done through email. Excellent price £1 for the first month! Unit was plenty big enough for contents of a 1 bed flat. Would definitely recommend!

Very friendly staff on the phone and in person. The site is very secure and every clean, very well maintained.

Really secure facilities and very helpful staff. A big thank you to Sarah from the Basildon branch for her help, patience and expertise - she helped to ensure everything went smoothly and we were set up well.

Great customer service from the staff, especially Theo, very helpful young man. Facilities are great, my only recommendation would be a few more trolleys. They become very limited when busy.

Started renting a unit at the Basildon branch this weekend and the site colleague was very helpful with making sure I was set up with the app and showing me where my unit was.
When it came to moving into the unit - this is the easiest I've had to use as can reverse onto the loading bays and the lifts are larger than others I have used.

Quick & easy - facilities are clean & accessible. Sarah who showed be round was friendly & professional.
