Shurgard Self Storage - Amsterdam Centrum Recenzje 

Very easy to rent a storage unit, I did it online and the unit is pretty spacious.

I’m really happy with the service, it was super easy to set up the contract and everything is well organized. Thomas was really nice and helpful!

All good — the service was as expected and the deal itself was fair.

I’m giving 3 stars because the follow-up was far too aggressive. After I filled in the form, I received 6–7 calls plus dozens of emails, both to push me to close the deal and later to request a rating. I kept repeating the same answers, which became frustrating.

My suggestion: please chill a bit with the follow-ups.

De prijsverhogingen zijn excessief. En ook op andere manieren probeert Shurgard de klant een poot uit te draaien: toen ik aangaf dat ik vrijgesteld kon worden van de (normaal gesproken verplichte) verzekering omdat mijn inboedelverzekering ook goederen in opslag dekt, kreeg ik prompt een nieuwe e-mail met daarin -voor ongeveer hetzelfde bedrag als de verzekering zou zijn geweest- een "prijsverhoging". Bovendien is de locatie waarin ik de opslag had qua service en onderhoud er sterk op achteruit gegaan sinds die is overgenomen van Opslagman.

Het personeel op deze locatie is super klantgericht. Hielpen direct en vriendelijk! Namen de moeite om goed te luisteren en kwamen direct met een passend advies. Zeer aan te bevelen locatie dus.

I would highly reccommend Shurgard, I used their storage facility in Amsterdam West and it was extremely easy and smooth, no human intervention required. The unit was clean and easily accessibly with lifts and trolleys. Love it!

De communicatie was heel aangenaam. Het ging gemakkelijk en vlot.
Het persoonlijke contact met de contactpersoon van de locatie Sebastiao was echt een pluspunt! Hij legde alles goed uit, nam de tijd en herinnerde me aan iets dat ik vergeten was in alle drukte.

De ruimte was keurig schoon en voldeed aan alle verwachtingen.

Ik kan deze plek van harte aanbevelen.

First of all, it's very simple to use the Shurgard storage service - you find all the info you need on the site (including volume estimation for your goods).
Then, it's simple to access your storage space and to manipulate your goods.
The location is clean, bright and the entire carrying system (including the large elevator) is provided.
There is a toilet too.
The only negative aspect (to be completely honest): at the first floor it's a little too hot (at least yesterday, after a couple if minutes I really realized the difference between the ground and the upper floor).

The ventilation isn't working in the storage unit so it's like a sauna. It's been like that for over a week now. Every time I go in I move one or two boxes and I'm dripping with sweat, it's exhausting. On the first day we had a lot to put in and I had to multiple breaks outside to cool down (it was relatively cool outside, not even such a hot day).

NB: I contacted them by phone last Sunday (8 days ago) and by contact form on Wednesday (5 days ago) but nothing has been changed yet.

Good value for money. Building is clean and well maintained. Professional staff. Easy app access. A little hot inside, but maybe it's just that time of the year. On site toilet is a plus. Overall good experience 👍

Great service. Simple access & usage. Quick to setup

Ontzettend aardig personeel. Goede uitleg en rondleiding.
Na wat gehannes in het begin met de keypad werkt ie nu perfect. In en uitrijden gaat heel soepel zonder dat je de code hoeft in te tikken, ook in de lift.

2 Problems I had with this location.

I booked a locker and the address on the confirmation was Transformatorweg 24. This is NOT where the unit is. That address is Block A, and there are other units in block B, which is 400m away across the 6 lane street at Contactweg 30.

My taxi dropped me and my 6 BIG LUGGAGE bags at the main building as on the confirmation (Block A). I was only to find out from the staff they had no trolleys, so I had to walk to Block B, fetch a trolley, bring it back to Block A and cart my bags to my unit.

Problem 2: The lockers are elevated 3m high!!! You have to find the wheeled mobile stairs (wherever they may be) and push/pull the huge stairs to your unit. This makes it VERY difficult to pack/unpack, move stuff around because you have to take things up and down the stairs each time. Lockers I have seen in other companies are on the ground floor.

Otherwise the units are clean, the facility is clean, and the staff helpful. It would just be good to have more detailed confirmations on going to unit B, and lockers on the ground floor.
