Signed up for the 5 issues for £1, received the third copy and went on to cancel my subscription. Money already been taken for the next assortment of issues. Cancelled my subscription, sent multiple emails which were all unanswered, rang up customer service and spoke to someone which may have actually been ai because he just didn't seem to get it. Apparently it's all there in their terms and conditions you just have to scroll to the bottom of the website and read the faq. Because everyone will do this. I received no notification money would be taken from my account or an email to say I need to cancel by a certain date or money will be taken. Terrible business practice.

Also even though I had cancelled it on their website he told me on the phone it wasn't actually cancelled! So he did this for me on the phone, incredible stuff.

And you've now lost a future customer, our child wasn't quite ready for the Beano due to her reading level but we would have come back to it in the future however this customer service means we will never ever come back and would strongly recommend everyone else stays away from these aggressive business tactics. Still in the process of trying to dispute the transaction with my bank.

Update : they still haven't reached out directly via email.

This is a subsidiary of DC Thomson who make the magazine. I have had such a frustrating experience attempting to sort my son's annual Beano subscription since November 2025. I have spoken by phone and by email to their agents many times, provided bank details on 6 separate occasions and all to no avail. I have done everything I can from my end.

6+ months later, my son still checks the post every single day for his magazine. I urge you to take your business elsewhere.

The Beano is a great comic and my kids love it, and the shop has lots of fun Dennis/Minnie/Bash Street themed items

Always punctual and a good read even the jokes to help the family and friends smile are clever.

My Beano hasn’t turned up this week.

Either subscription was managed really well and all editions are delivered on time. My son loves seeing the magazine sitting on the mat when he gets home from school and loves the content.

My son loves it and looks forward to receiving it every week. He reads every episode as does his younger brother who is learning to learn

I am disappointed with the customer service provided by Beano.

Two issues have not been delivered during my subscription, including the issue dated 28th February (due by 25th February). I emailed to report this but have received no response after six days. As a result, my grandson has had to purchase the missing copies from a newsagent.

I am still awaiting confirmation that my subscription will be extended by two future issues (14th and 21st March) to compensate for the two copies not received.

Unfortunately, there has been a lack of prompt communication throughout my subscription, which has been frustrating and disappointing.

I made a mistake in the delivery details I submitted, for the Beano to be sent to my grandsons. I e-mailed the company and very speedily recieved a friendly and courteous reply. The information was corrected and the Beano safely delivered. I haven't got the exact date but it was organised in time for the first delivery of 2026..Who doesn't love The Beano. ?????

Bought for granddaughter for Christmas, all arrived to her ok, but disappointed with communication to me so I knew it was all set up, and Christmas booklet arrived mid January to me not her, which I would have liked to have before Christmas so i could wrap it and let her know about the subscription I had purchased for her. I did organise well before Christmas

My grandson aged 8 loves the Beano. I took out a subscription for him as a Christmas present.
However, all the newsletters are sent to me and I then have to forward them to his mum. Please would you introduce an option to get them sent to the recipient of the comic or their parent instead of the person who pays for the subscription.
