EDITED* Great until you've parted with the money. *EDITED*
Lots of shiny cars, smooth transaction, friendly on the outside, zero aftercare. The battery on the car I bought died within 5 days. Rather than just fix the issue as any other dealership would, the solution was to activate the 12 month breakdown cover with the AA and call them out if the car wouldn’t start the next morning, which isn’t even included in the basic breakdown cover. Even if it was included, that's not an appropriate or proportional solution. It took 5 days of arguing to get a part payment towards the battery I paid. Didn’t even give the basic courtesy of a call back until an email was sent.
I paid for the car using a credit card for additional protection, the credit card fees were added on to the cost, over £500 worth. Unbeknown to myself, this is illegal and I didn’t realise until I dug deeper when looking in to my rights regarding the battery issue. When confronted these were passed off as ‘admin fees’ despite categorically and undeniably confirming at the point of purchase that they were actually credit card fees.
Had circumstances been different and I hadn’t spent a substantial amount of my own money servicing, replacing the battery and fixing other minor issues within the first few days, the car would’ve been returned. Sadly I needed the car to survive.
Read the small print regarding the warranty. The warranty is not with the garage, it's with a third party and their reviews are diabolical, the warranty covers next to nothing.
EDIT:-
I'm amazed you have the audacity to reply to my review after ignoring the recent update.
For anyone who has read this far, the car mentioned was taken in for a recall recently. Part of the recall included a software update. When the software update was performed, the car wouldn't work. The AdBlue system had been unplugged and Mapped out. Going by the mileage figure given by Peugeot, the AdBlue system was deleted between committing to buy the car and picking it up. Proof, along with the Peugeot invoice of £874.64 was Emailed over, with my concerns, went ignored.
With reference to your partial refund towards the battery, you sold a car for over £14,000, including the Credit card fees that you passed on,a battery working for more than a few days is not a big ask.
