On December 12, 2024, I purchased a Sega Toys Homestar Original Black, which stopped functioning within three months (disc rotation and shooting star features failed). I contacted the company on March 9, 2025, under their two-year warranty. On April 22, 2025, they sent three spare rubber bands with vague DIY instructions and inaccurate illustrations, claiming a snapped band was the issue. My inspection and photos confirmed the band was intact, indicating a motor or electrical defect. So far they refused a refund or replacement and insisted I fix it myself. Bottom line: Selling a product that breaks down so quickly and expecting customers to perform complex repairs violates consumer rights.

Be careful! They take money and don’t send anything. SCAM

The costumer service is horrible. I wish i had seen these comments earlier. The delivery was delayed, by the time it came i was abroad thus exceeding the 14 days return. I tried to arrange a return but either they honestly do not speak English or they try to scam you. After 20 emails explaining the situation emails i have received include and i quote exactly word per word:

'Thank you very much for your message. Yes, but it has been terrible.'

'Thank you very much for your message. You wrote terrible. No me'

'Thank you very much for your message. Yes, we treat English for you .CAn U write us u quastionz, pleaze !'

Needless to say i was speaking English and did try to explain what had happened again and again. I even suggested using google translate but to no end. I feel scammed.

Their don't honour their warranty and their homestar flux breaks right on the 2 year mark. Good luck getting them to replace anything. Terrible customer service

Schlechtester, unfreundlichster und Dreistester Support, den ich je erlebt habe. Nach Rücksendung der Ware, behält Sega einfach grundlos und völlig unrechtmäßig 10€ Warenwert ein. Völlig unseriös und nicht dem Fernabsatzgeschäft bzw. Den eigenen AGB's entsprechend. Schriftverkehr mit dem Support erweist sich als reine Farce. Man wird hier schriftlich nur verarscht. Auf Fragen kommen nur Gegenfragen, ohne dass man Hilfe bekommt. Ich kann nur abraten hier einen Kauf zu tätigen. Traurig, so ein Verhalten. Absolut erbärmlich und Bemitleidenswert.

Ich kann mich den anderen Bewertungen nur anschließen.

So ein unseriöser Shop obwohl es von Sega selbst zu sein scheint, ist es scheinbar ein Dienstleister.

Ich habe bestellt und aufgrund der schlechten Erfahrungen hier, unmittelbar danach wieder storniert.

Dafür habe ich auf die bestell Mail geantwortet und extra eine Mail geschrieben.

Ich habe dann eine Antwort erhalten mit dem Inhalt

„Das ist schlecht“

Auf meine Frage, was ich damit jetzt anfangen kann, kam erst einmal keine Antwort mehr.

Nach erneuten Fragen. Kam eine recht pampige Antwort in dem mir erklärt wurde wie unmöglich es sei etwas zu bestellen und dann doch wieder zu stornieren.

Geht’s noch?

Zumal ich sofort nach Bestellung, auch wieder storniert habe.

Jetzt habe ich die Summe erstattet bekommen. Allerdings habe ich eine anstehende Zahlung
von 5 Eurobei Paypal stehen.

Ich vermute man versucht mir den Versand zu berechnen der aber nie stattgefunden hat.

Ich habe nicht einmal eine Versandbestätigung erhalten.

Ich habe sowas noch nie erlebt…

Schlimmer geht wohl immer.

Der Shop hatte meine Stornierung endlich bestätigt.

Allerdings wollte man nun die 5 Euro für den Versand berechnen. Was 1. nicht rechtens ist und 2. sogar gegen die eigenen AGB des Shops verstößt.

Auf mehrmaligen Hinweisen darauf war man nicht bereit davon abzusehen.

Bis man diese Bewertung hier gesehen hat.

Nun wurden die 5 Euro auch storniert aber ich werde zugespamt mit Nachrichten das ich diese Bewertung hier löschen sollte da man mir ja jetzt entgegen gekommen sei.

Dies habe ich jetzt mehrmals verneint, man versteht dort einfach nicht das man mir kein Gefallen getan hat, sondern einfach seine Pflicht erfüllt wurde.

Zuletzt kam dann eine Mail, man würde die Stornierung zurücknehmen und die Ware dann doch zusenden.

Ich kann wirklich nur noch darauf hinweisen vorsichtig zu sein. So ein Verhalten ist echt nicht normal und habe ich absolut noch nie erlebt. Ich werde mit der Bestellung erpresst um diese Bewertung hier zu löschen...

Ordered a Sega Homestar Flux for my son for Christmas on 14/12/2023 - site advertised arrival in time for Christmas. They did not even ship until 20th December and has been sat in Export parcel center in Germany ever since. When I contacted them to explain my dissapointment that my son's christmas present would not be here in time... they gave an extremely sarcastic and cynical response saying they were also dissapointed at 'DHL's delay in the UK', maybe if they actually checked my tracking they would notice it hadn't even arrived in the UK yet because they didn't even post it for the best part of a week. Try and explain to a young boy why Santa missed his house this Christmas.

First, the support is useless and I was really in doubt if I was talking to a human or not. They would just “thank me for my message” and not give any useful information related to my issue. After the product returned to sender initially (and I still don’t know why, never got a proper explanation), the item finally arrived after almost a month after the original order and it was a used product! It was dirty, missing the included discs and manual. In the end I just stopped contacting them and accepted that this is a scam site.

They don't have support personnel at all to answer phones. They are not solution oriented via e-mail the person I am in touch is just argues with me on a typo rather than try to fix it. The conversation goes like you did no you did it. Obviously they have no policy for user support or even under stand what support means.

Bought the Sega Homestar Flux from them. Item arrived in 5 days. They didn't send out a email that the item had shipped till the 4th day. I would recommend.
