In my opinion: This is Really Good Coffee
I usually make a big order of Nespresso Hawaiian this time of year. This year I decided to try Sea Island Coffee. I got 4 different kinds; Hawaii, Clifton Estate, Panama Geisha, and St Helena. I have tried all of them a few times and I don’t have a clear favorite, yet. They are all to my liking. The only problem is they don’t work well in my well used CREATISTA machine. They don’t make good creama. I think it depends on what Nespresso machine you have. I made up my mind that I liked the flavor so much that I didn’t care. But, I have since heard of this OPAL ONE CAPSULE MACHINE by Colonna Coffee. Another British company. So, I ordered one to try. Either way I really like this coffee.

I love this company and how I have the ability to buy from small producers. The ability to buy from the origin of the beans, and to know where they come from and they’re single source purity. Plus, we’ve learned so much about these areas and coffee. It has been worth the price for us.

I called Sea Island to seek adfvice on what coffees might suit my taste and budget best. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I chose a range of coffees which arrived promptly. Excellent coffees. Far better than any I have had in the past. Highly recommend

Beans arrived poorly roasted
Beans arrived roasted. Were roasted very little, almost still green, barely past first pop. Brew was bitter, very acidic, not drinkable. Buying it was a very expensive mistake. Will not buy from sea island again.

Hi Robert, we're really sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your coffee beans on this occassion. We note down the roast Agtron level of every batch we roast, and I've had our Q grader test our roast level for our Yemeni coffees today and she's happy with the level. It's possible this coffee is just not to your taste. However, we do take this type of feedback seriously so I'll follow up via email with you to see if we can find out anything else about your order in case something went amiss.

My shipment hasn’t even been delivered…
My shipment hasn’t even been delivered yet and is stuck in customs. DHL is reaching out to me to provide detail on the manufacturer and address which isn’t something I could possibly know. I have reached out to Sea Island asking for help providing this information so this gift I am sending my daughter can be delivered. Very poor experience for something I thought would be a fun surprise for my daughter.

Not a hint of blue mountain coffee in there. Very disappointed.
You can "verify" what you like and claim "100%" but if you only put a fraction in then it isn't going to taste the same. So, if you can suggest a "roast level and brewing method" that actually tastes like the real deal then I'm all ears?

We can confirm that our Jamaica Blue Mountain is 100% authentic Grade 1, sourced directly from certified estates in the Blue Mountains. Flavour can vary depending on roast level and brewing method, and we would be happy to help recommend an alternative if you’d like.

Hi Jeryl, My sincerest apologies that your order was delayed on this occassion. As of January, the US introduced some extra customs checks on coffee that were not previously required, and we have dealt with these now, but this caused a temporary delay of our US shipments. All info has been provided for your order and it is due for delivery today! I hope you enjoy your coffee and again, apologies for the delay with customs.
