Customer service has been atrocious

Customer service has been atrocious. Super slow to respond. I've also had simple requests for parts diagrams and haven't told they don't have them. Overall I would suggest finding a difference on a company for the prices that they charge.

Mostly good

Ordering was easy, different payment options, for the most part they were responsive to my emails. They packaged the Sauna very well to prevent damage in transit. It was easy to assemble (I did it myself). The quality was excellent, everything is solid wood. My only issue was the time it took to get it versus what we were told. We expected 8 - 10 weeks but it ended up being 14 weeks

HI John thanks for your thoughtful review. We're glad your sauna arrived intact and you found it easy to assemble. Regarding the timing, at certain times of the year we are inundated with orders and it suddenly changes the delivery time. We are constantly working on balancing the right number of trained staff with our expected number of orders that season. In 2023 we experienced a sudden uptick in orders that caught us off guard. We have since corrected the problem and are better able to predict the timing to delivery. Thanks again and keep enjoying your SaunaRay!

THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED

See JL May 11/21 review...whoever you are...you are 100% correct...delay, delay, lie, delay.
The office manager is either (and I don't say this lightly) either incompetent, or I suspect, simply lies for the owner. Don't believe me(I have kept the email correspondence, so I have proof of what I say)
Sept 16th/22 We notice the timer and temperature controller on our approx 10-12 yr old 3 seat far infra red Saunaray is no longer working...fair enough, it's been 10 years+, so I call the contact number for Saunaray at their 705 number. I leave a message, and incredibly, the office manager, let's call her, ah, Jan, she calls me back in short order...wow, pretty impressive I'm thinking!! She wants me to send her pictures of the Saunaray itself, of the power box and equipment which sits on top of the Saunaray, and a picture of the timer/thermostat on the sauna. Excellent!!, so I send them back in a couple minutes, and then Jan, gets right back to me: Would you please give me your full address please. I sure will, and I'm thinking: we are going at warp speed here. This thing will be fixed in no time, and then......................................................................................crickets.....nothing......no updates, no, we are not forgetting about you....zippo. I figure after about 11 days(Sept 27), it's probably reasonable to email back to see what is happening?...what is the plan?
response: "sorry for the delay, the owner was out of town, and is just getting back. I will let you know as soon as possible"...oh?
Oct 11th...5 days shy of a month...I'm upset at this point...All I was asking was for a plan? what will happen...that this is brutal customer relations.
response: "Please accept my apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I am still working on a solution"..wow, really...do you mind letting me in on this possible solution?
At this point, when they throw corporate speak BS in your face, you know there is no plan....and I was right, because I didn't bother asking anymore......
and here we are on Dec 5th/22(just shy of 3 months)....zero correspondence, and the incredible office manager of Saunaray, that we call Jan, is ah, still working on the solution, I suppose.
It all sounded great when you look into far infra red saunas...that it is made of Basswood, not from China, no toxic chemicals etc etc, but if there are problems, like JL said...you are ON YOUR OWN.....the cavalry ain't coming. Now, if part of this is because of what COVID caused?...supply chain issues, lack of employees to deal with repair problems, then why not say it......why deceive. As the title says: THEY CAN'T BE TRUSTED!...you have been warned!

The service ends once they have your money.

This company, and its owner, are great at selling you one of their saunas. They will go over and above, even answering questions on weekends. That is where the great service ends. Once they have the deposit, their promises of dates, etc aren't kept at all. The owner tells you 7 weeks, which I will tell you now...equates to 14 weeks. Just tell a person you can't keep up and say 14 weeks rather than continuously have your employees lie and give new dates that you don't keep. The owner would never call me back, when I asked to speak with him. We haven't set up their product because their timeline was so far off, that it was finally delivered in the middle of a renovation. I hope we have no problems with it because their customer is less than to be desired. I would really suggest you do your homework before buying from them. Good luck with finding reviews on them because they must have someone remove them so potential customers don't see their unreliability. I really do want to enjoy this sauna but it may take some time getting over this experience.

*** whatever response you provided 10hrs ago (5 + years after my initial review, mind you) has nothing to do with our order. I have zero clue what you are talking about.
We never cancelled any delivery and accepted it on the first delivery date when it was provided. In fact I helped the delivery guys unload it with my pallet jack because they didn’t bring one. So, before you take 5+ years to respond, at least make sure you have the correct customer and order. Yeesh.
As far as the unit itself. Works great and we are enjoying it. As noted, it was the runaround after we ordered it that was frustrating; especially after you received full payment.

Hi JL, I hope you're still enjoying your sauna. As you know we tried to deliver this to you seven different times and you canceled every time. Twice when it was loaded on the delivery truck and ready to go to your house, and once when we were only twenty minutes away from your house. I'm sorry our repeated attempts to accommodate your schedule left you with a bad feeling. I hope you're over it now and enjoying your wonderful sauna.
