Absolutely shocking customer service. I put a irresponsible complaint in to satsuma in February and I am still awaiting a reply. I was told I would have a response within 56 days. They are quick enough to hand out loans and chase repayments from people though! Every time I ask for a update I get the same reply saying it is being investigated or I can go to the FOS. I have submitted my complaint to them now. Disgusting customer service by satsuma loans team!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Expensive sub prime loan sharks.
I missed one of the Payments at the beginning of the year and then subsequently brought it up to date. Then the following month settled the account in full. My credit report after 3 months is still showing a balance in arrears! I have called them 3 times to be given excuses. I have made a complaint and had no response. I have been to Experian and they’ve even contacted them with a generic response LYING about the data. YOU’RE affecting my credit file and my future by not updating it. I’ve paid you £1000 to borrow £500 over 6 months. The least you can do is update my credit file to say our relationship has ended. However much you may need the money - my advice is steer clear of this company. I look forward to not hearing from you.

I don’t recommend anyone taking any loan out unless it’s essential I see all the bad reviews about Satsuma, but to be honest the dealings that I’ve had with Satsuma have been excellent very fair and understanding customer care and have helped me out a couple of times due to covid-19 The service that I received today was excellent and the customer care representative Chloe was very helpful and professional - yes you pay higher interest rates but all this is explained to you before you take the loan out so you know what you’re getting into! Thanks

Worst customer service - dont enter a repayment agreement with them as if you do they do not report correctly to your credit file and then when you try to resolve they shove you towards their complaints process which takes forever and say they can't get anyone to help. Meanwhile your credit file is being affected negatively.
No concern for customers situations, only for pushing things to the longest possible time to respond to a complaint and trying to get you to go away

It took less then 20 days from my initial complain to a final settlement offer which I accepted.

They are really fast to take your money...

However put a complaint it 31st March no response. Then I chased up two back to say they have 28 days to review and another to say 56 days from two different people? A joke.

Awful experience with this company. They allowed me many high cost loans that just caused me so much debt and misery. They rejected my affordability complaint, which i duly sent to the FOS. FOS didn't agree with Satsuma and recommended rebate to myself. Satsuma just haven't bothered, after months of waiting, to reply to my adjudicator. Its now in the hands of the Ombudsman. Shocking customer service by Satsuma, poor communication and deliberately slow to do anything. This company completely exploit the vulnerable.

THEY WILL HARASS YOU. Had to block their number as they called me three times on a row as I was in work and couldn’t answer. Now I’m consistently getting texts from them even on bank holidays. They intrude in your personal information that has absolutely nothing to do with them. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Took a £300 loan out with them before paid back in full. now my income and outgoings have not changed tried to apply for a £100 loan and got rejected saying they do not think i can afford this loan. now correct me if i am wrong but if they thought and accepted i could afford a £300 loan but now saying i can not afford a £100 loan is backwards

This company has gone down hill recently and are terrible.

So far they've been a hassle to pay back from the start, huge amount put on top of my loan and very quick to take me on. No checks.. Nothing... Put a complaint claim through with a debt company to try and get out of this hassle of a loan... Nothing but stress and hope it just goes under to be honest. Terrible company.

I lost my job just before the Corona pandemic started and these guys couldn't be more helpful to me, they were more worried about causing me unnecessary stress during this time than just collecting regardless of my situation, the girl I spoke with was so kind and did everything she could to help as I was so worried about all of this... they placed my account on hold and havent pestered in any way as they are trusting that I will contact again as soon as my situation gets better.... not usually a fan of payday loan companies as alot of them havent shown the same compassion but satsuma really do go above and beyond to help their customers and I am very grateful

Have made over 3 months 3 attempts to contact Satsuma with a payment arrangement via email. The email gets acknowledged and it says always that my information will be sent to the relevant department and some one will get in touch. To date no one has got in touch or responded to my offers of repayment but today received a letter threatening legal action for the arrears.Absolutely awful customer service. I have tried so many times to communicate with Satsuma as my circumstances changed but to no avail. I have all the emails as evidence and the names of all the people who apparently acknowledged them. And to receive today during this lock down and nobody knowing what we are going to do during this pandemic Satsuma feel the need to send out this letter to add to our worries further.

Have written to their CEO with a complaint to say that other companies are offering payment holidays during the coronavirus pandemic and although you state to them that your main source of income has been severed and you are not earning money, they have said account still needs to be paid and they are still reporting all non-payments to the credit reference agencies. The thieves only care about the money coming in and have no empathy whatsoever for their customers. Abysmal customer service, advisers reading from script cards to say the FCA has not put anything into place regarding payment holidays when other companies like Hitachi personal finance are superb and offering 3 months payment holidays with no reporting to CRA's taking place whatsoever. It's not about the FCA as have spoken to them as well, it's about total lack of care and concern for customers, they just want their money and that's it. If I could have given zero as a score I would have. Please take note of all the 1-star (Bad Ratings) on here from existing customers and steer well clear of this company. You have been warned ... oh!!!! and their interest rates are crucifying.

This company is very quick to give you a loan even when I was late with payments they still offered me another loan within 6 months .
I had problems keeping up with payments.
I had a friend help me out paying the whole lot back.
Then within 2 weeks asking if I wanted another loan knowing I couldn't afford the payments previously.
And again not doing the right affordability checks
They are quick to offer loans you cannot afford on your back if you dont make payments on time.
But when you make affordability complaints
Nothing just get ignored.
Case has been with the fos for the last three weeks.
Along with the requested bank statements fos asked for.
Disgrace of a company.

I am now being completely ignored by Satsuma through the resolver app. They have a few days left until i escalate my case to the Ombudsman Service and still, they completely ignore me. The WORST loan company and customer service i have ever had to deal with.

after reading someone else's review I have the same problems I have had 3 loans with them paid 2 off in full waited over 30days go to try an get another loan they want proof of income didnt ask for it befor and still waiting over 3 weeks for the email to be sent so I can send them proof total been on phone more than 4 times in 2 weeks still nothing I've had my account go to IT tech because of issues where they say in your boring you have mad late payments when I haven't mad one late but in borrowing summary it says how many part or late payments the fact it states late payments dose not look good on any report it's been over 54days an still not corrected they have till end of the month then I'm going to report to higher people enough is enough if anyone else is getting issuespnly way to put them out is for people to complain to the higher people

Appalling customer service. Have failed to deal with my complaint within the 56 day timeframe. Have further caused delay and confusion by providing me incorrect information. Satsuma loans have not provided any solution to my current financial situation. It’s shocking how a company can continue to get away with treating customer unfairly and with no regard even after a complaint.

I am shocked they continue to trade in this manner. Extreme lack of customer care and support!

They harass you with calls and when you complain they don't want to know about it and they record your conversations wish I never applied now

Very poor. Accepted provisionally through a broker, but told I already have an account. When I try to login it says 'Whoops, something has gone wrong'.

After phoning and updating address etc. still unable to login. Time to give up and go elsewhere
