very frustrating experience with Salon Services.
I bought a hairdryer online and only turned it on to check it works.
I noticed the noise. I understand this may be normal for this type of dryer, but for me, as I am used to using a ghd, it was a nope!
I asked to return it within the allowed time, but they refused just because I switched it on.
I think this is unfair. You should be able to check a product before deciding to keep it, especially when buying online.
Not saying that i noticed I was charged more than the invoice amount, which was not clearly explained.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would not buy electrical items from them again.

What a dreadful excuse for a company
What a dreadful law breaking excuse for a company! Made my gel nail requirements very clear when visiting the Harrogate store, was sold 2am london hema free nail primer which turned out to be the biggest lead of rubbish as my nails lifted literally every couple of hours! Finally had chance to visit the Harrogate store (they knew when I first visited that I'm not local) to return it as its not fit for purpose. Refused as I had no receipt, yet showed a bank statement along with the other 2 items I had bought. Emailed head office & was refused also. I sent reminders about uk laws regarding faulty items & items not fit for purpose, because clearly these cowboys have forgotten; which clearly states that I am covered under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to reject it, get it repaired, replaced, or get a refund. Proof of purchase, including a bank statement, is acceptable for this. The jumped up little pen pusher then replies that no more follow up emails will be answered & my case is now closed. Thieving little twts! Avoid this company like the plague, I'm reporting this to every governing body I can find!!!!

I went to the sally’s in Newport Retail Park and had a brilliant experience never had been in this shop before so was a bit anxious about buying the wrong items to get my hair to the colour I wanted it or damaging it more as I’ve been struggling to fix box dye stains for over a year and had recently made it worse , but the lady on the register was awesome and helped me select the correct products and explained how to use them thank god as I would have been clueless as I’m no pro . I’ve done what she suggested and it’s worked my hair is exactly the right colour and the worst of the stains are gone , thank you Kacy H for your patience with helping me as I did notice it was busy in the shop and you had a lot of customers to help. Highly recommend this sallys
Excellent service when an item needed replaced
I've been using Sally's for many years now as a member of the public (i.e. I do not work in a beauty profession), and I've always been delighted with their products and service.
Recently, I purchased a (third party supplied) lamp from them and, after only a few months, one of the hinges/screws stopped holding the lamp where it was placed. I got in touch with Sally's customer services department, where the amazingly helpful Lynsey dealt with my replacement from start to finish. For whatever reason, the Sally's system hadn't received the video of the fault that I'd sent, so Lynsey's reminder after several days was perfectly timed to let me know they hadn't received the details needed to forward the info to their lamp supplier, which I felt was excellent customer service. As I use the lamp to help me cope better with various disabilities on a day to day basis, Lynsey was also kind enough to replace the item before I'd returned the faulty one with the free postage label provided; this made life so much easier for me, rather than having to go without a lamp at all while I waited for a replacement (thank you so much Lynsey for all your help; you're a star, and a genuine asset to the Sally's team!)
I've always had great service from Sally's, and my most recent experience has proven reassuring that, even when the fault is with one of their supplier's products, they're quick to resolve any issues.

Always purchased scissors which were expensive but very poor quality didn’t even worth the price
Items were out fo stock even though showing online, and they didn't inform me! Kept my money for many days
Stock I ordered was out of stock, even though it showed as in stock for delivery online.
They cancelled my order without telling me why.
When I enquired, they said it was out of stock, so I told them the website shows it as in stock and they need to change it.
They still haven't changed it.
They keep the money I paid for 3-10 days, too, so I have to wait to be able to get the product somewhere else.
This is the second time they have done this to me. The first time they cancelled only part of the order because some of the items weren't in stock, but not all. When that happened I didn't even get a cancellation or an adjustment email. I only found out when not all of the items were delivered, as the refund didn't turn up until days after the partial order turned up at my door.

Went in the shop on New Oxford Street where the staff was welcoming and helpful. +there was a very useful 50% discount on items I actually needed. So an extremely good first impression; I now wish I had more time and was then not in a hurry. No waiting time at the till. Very smoothly organised on that day.

Be aware if staff give wrong advice on items it seems impossible to return, even unopened with a receipt.
Terrible delivery
Terrible delivery, require to download a carrier app and spend time on unnecessary bureaucracy to provide simple instructions “leave at door in case no one is at home”, something that other shops in 2024 do automatically for cheaper orders or, in worse case scenario, send you a one click link to a checkbox where this can be specified.

Customer services are terrible! Have left me in tears. I bought a lash adhesive which did not stick any lashes to my client meaning I embarrassingly had to turn said client away and lose out on money. I went back to store & asked for a refund which was refused. Upon phoning customer services they agreed to a refund, however my colleague bought the glue on her trade account. The customer services woman then proceeded to shout & cut me off when speaking and gave me a ‘telling off’ for using someone else’s account! Now I am left out of pocket for the adhesive & unable to do clients.

I bought an online classic lash course hoping to jumpstart my career in the lash industry, thinking it would be a convenient and educational choice. I bought L’Oréal INOA no Ammonia permanent colour from BANBURY branch and it’s was out of date ,colour was spouse to be white but it was quite dark, I try to return it but they refused it coz i didn’t keep my receipt I said I can provide my bank statement but manager didn’t even bother to talk to me I will never go there again not good customer service at all I would have left it if it’s cheap but it’s cast me £22
