I have bought two trackers for my cats, it has given me peace of mind knowing how far they go. At first I thought my older cat went further away than she does, turns out she is never more than a few gardens away, or the end of the street. This has been reassuring know where she is, when she was 8 months old she went missing for 11 days, luckily she turned up. It fits nicely onto any cat collar. They have both lost their collars a couple of times, but with the find device audible bell, I was able to find them fairly easily, hopefully that will continue to be the case. Technical support are very helpful and do their best to get the tracker back online if for some reason is not connected to the internet. This has been the best one I have had and 100% recommend getting one for their pet.

I purchased my tracker in January 2022 and now feel that I can fully review it properly. I have a young inquisitive Labrador that enjoys forest and other rural walks. He has a relatively good recall but like all young dogs when the mood or scent takes him off track he is easily distracted and ignores the calls to return unless he is ready. He usually returns within a couple of minutes but on one occasion he was away for about half an hour in dense forest. As annoying as it was that he was ignoring me I had the comfort of knowing where he was at all times as I had switched to 1 minute updates. This was also assisted by being able to see where my location was in respect of my dog’s location. Had I not had the comfort of the tracker I would have found that experience a lot more distressing than it was. I was eventually reunited with him thankfully. I have attached his actions in the photograph. For the £30 initial price and £2.50 a month that I pay, I feel that the device and contract has paid for itself on that one occasion alone!!
In addition I have used this tracker in some adverse weather conditions and found it to be reliable with a good battery life and whereas it does not state that it is waterproof my dog likes to jump into deep puddles and pools of water and the device has continued to work.
Social media is full of people that have lost their dogs while out walking and whereas this device is not inconspicuous enough to stop your dog from being stolen, it gives a huge sense of relief to know where your dog is at any given time while off the lead. In view of this I thoroughly recommend it and have already recommended it to other dog owners that I have met.

Until one of my cats went missing I would never have thought about purchasing a tracker. My cat is still missing and if he had been wearing this tracker I'd have pinpointed his location and had him home that night. Absolutely paranoid about my other cat going missing, I purchased this tracker as it was inexpensive and lightweight which was important as I was concerned he would struggle with all of a sudden having to don a collar AND a device. He took to it well, and even waits in the morning to be fitted back up with the collar before being let out for his morning wander. The app is a little hit and miss at times but mostly works well, tells me where he is and I'm completely reassured that he's not far.

Five stars to the staff at Safer Pet. Amazingly helpful, nothing is too much trouble and I know that if I have any issues or questions there will be someone on the end of the phone to guide me through. If my lost cat ever returns, he will be fitted with a Safer Pet tracker immediately and ball and chain :)

**Update** said missing cat is home! It took four and a half months of walking the streets, door knocking, poster, leaflet and social media campaigns and of course (ahem) a reward offered to get those calls and sightings coming in to pinpoint him and get him home. He is now driving me bonkers wanting to go out but he's grounded for a while and I'm just waiting for his tracker to be activated. This little tracker will allow me to keep an eye on Thomas and if he ever wanders a little too far for my poor ravaged heart to bear, I'll be marching up the road (in the right direction this time) to find him and bring him home.

I researched various cat trackers, and selected this one as the tracker unit itself is (relatively) inexpensive - in case the cat loses it - and lightweight. Even our smallest cat isn't bothered by the unit (though she dislikes having a collar on).

There are some limitations to the technology. It needs two radio signals: GPS for the location, and multi-network cellular for two-way communications back to their server. I've configured the tracker to report its position every minute, but the reality is at best two minutes and sometimes up to an hour between position reports.

The phone app is somewhat clunky and unintuitive, and comes up with weird messages, but works. Apparently a new version is about to come out. I spent a hour playing with it until I worked out how to use it. Basically, there are two main views. (1) a pin showing the last reported position, with a refresh button to request the tracker to send a new position - which takes a while, up to a minute, and sometimes fails if the cat's in a dead spot. Or has gone into someone's house. (2) the track of all positions over a time period.

It would be nice to also have a web page interface, to be able to see the map on a large PC screen (instead of a phone), and to be able to save the tracking information.

It has been fascinating (if a little alarming) to see just how far our cats roam. And it can be reassuring to be able to find out where they are right now.

Safer pet has been easy to use and my cat has not been bothered by it being on his collar.

I purchased 2 trackers for my cats. This gives me piece of mind of where they are when I am away at work. The app can show it to be incorrect at times but if you keep pressing find pet button it eventually settles in one place. I particularly like the seeing the amount of steps they are doing. Again, this gives me piece of mind that they are moving as you watch the steps going up. The collars have come off a few times due to the safety aspect. The app shows the location of where it is and I particularly like it when you can ring it when you get close to help find it quicker. Be warned though, this dramatically reduces the battery. The ring on the tracker could do with being louder though so I've knocked one star off. Overall they are great trackers and I would reccommend them.

I purchased the tracker for my dog after spending weeks helping looking for a missing dog (a whippet like mine) who was lost in fields.
I am very impressed with the product. I only really use the tracking function on it which works really well. Fortunately I have not been in a position where I have needed to use it to find my missing dog but I often use the APP when out walking and it is very accurate.
Compared to others it’s very well priced for what I want to use it for and have already recommended it to friends.

We brought one tracker and it worked really well. both our cats have no problems wearing it. They get upset when we take it off! it sometimes doesn't always connect straight away but eventually it works - that could be a internet error. If I ever have a problem I email in and someone is always on the telephone to offer assistance. My holder broke and they sent me a different type straight away the service is fantastic!! The app is good but sometimes the "Track where your pet has been" doesn't always work but its been very interesting to look at when it does work. Our 2nd cat went missing so we recently brought another one and £30 for 5 years is just fantastic! The battery lasts for around 3 days which comes around quickly but it doesn't take long to charge. I would definitely recommend and the price its fantastic!

An absolutely fantastic product. This is the second tracker we have tried and it is far superior. It has a good, long-lasting battery that provides peace of mind. I would recommend anyone with an adventurous cat to get one!

My cat went missing a couple of months ago and on his return I ordered safer pet collar. It has been a game changer. I can now check wherever he is, which gives me great peace of mind. We definitely recommend for anyone who has a pet that wonders.

I am very happy with the pet tracker I purchased for my cat . It was easy to set up and the app is great and easy to use. The battery probably needs charging every other day but that’s because I’m constantly stalking him lol . I am now in the habit of charging it every night whilst he is in .Customer service is also amazing . I fully recommend this company for a great product at a thoroughly reasonable price .

Great gps tracker, works well when out and about, fits nice around the collar.
Only downside is the battery doesn’t last that long before a recharge. Still would recommend though

Great tracker all round. Great design and how to operate. The app is easy to use and good features. It's great piece of mind knowing you have it should the worse happen.
Also the subscriptions are competitively priced and I've not come across any better

Great device, can keep an eye on our cat and make sure he is safe outside. Tracking is accurate & it is not too heavy or bulky, very happy with it.

Got the Safer Pet Tracker for our cat as curious as to where he goes. It was easy to set up and use my only comment is with regard to the battery life, that aside very please with the product.

I have been very happy with my Safer Pet collars so far. One of my cats had an RTA in January and fortunately recovered, but this made me extremely worried about letting him out again. I wanted a GPS collar but most of the ones on sale are very big and heavy. However, Safer Pet offer a very small lightweight tracker that fits easy on their existing collar. I now have peace of mind knowing I can keep a track on my phone at all times. Excellent value for money and very reasonable affordable subscription charges.

We love our tracker, it helps me feel more relaxed with my dog off his lead. I charge the tracker every few days to make sure its always ready for use. A couple of the functions take a bit of getting used to with regards to the GPS but then you are good to go. The tracker slips in and out easily from the silicon holder, it's lightweight and small which is great for me wee terrier. Would recommend this product.

Undoubtedly in my opinion the best cat tracker on the market. I’ve tried a number of trackers, all more expensive, and they’ve all failed after a few months or just been useless in tracking. This SaferPet tracker is accurate in its position and when it fell off my cat, the amazing feature of being able to make it ring out, enabled us to find it. I would highly recommend it.

This tracker requires a subscription for the service, but all the trackers I've looked at Charge you for airtime one way or another. SaferPet are very friendly and we're happy to help when I had a small issue with setup, you even get to speak to real people.
I now have the peace of mind, that should my little pal get out I can quickly find him and bring him home.
