Signed up for 6 weeks 1 to 1 mentorship, 4 weeks later, they took full payment and had no structure or learning scope. Just a plain text file that had a list of technologies. Also every other week there was a new mentor.

To clarify, the issue was not about “skipping fundamentals” — it was the complete lack of a defined learning structure, roadmap, or delivery plan from the mentorship itself. The expectation from a paid 1-to-1 mentorship was guided progression, practical implementation, shadowing opportunities, and structured data engineering methods, none of which were properly demonstrated.

There was no clear syllabus, milestones, project framework, or consistent mentor allocation. Mentors changed frequently, availability did not align with agreed timings, and sessions felt reactive rather than planned. The only material initially provided was a basic text list of technologies without depth, sequencing, or measurable outcomes.

Projects worth 10 certifications - false advertising.

I joined specifically to gain structured, hands-on guidance in real-world data practices and implementation methodology, which was not delivered in the way advertised.

They are experienced professionals who help you bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and production level knowledge. The mentor guidance and feedback are exceptional as Sahil and the team take the time to understand your background and tailor the learning experience accordingly.

I am having very good experience with my mentor and the company. I come from a mechanical background, and the mentor prepared the learning plan according to my requirements to transition in data engineering. The sessions are one-to-one and highly interactive, which helped me understand the concepts clearly. Also, you need to put in effort to learn if you are new to the domain. The mentor is open to feedback and very friendly and approachable. There is also a strong focus on interview questions and practical preparation, which I found very useful. The timings are flexible and easy to manage alongside work and other commitments. The fees are also adjustable based on individual requirements and convenience. Overall, the guidance and support provided have been very professional and helpful.

We would learn the technology by best lecturers and they will explain the concepts in depth and multiple times until we get cleared.one on one sessions feels comfortable for beginners.The course is value for money !

The Mentors are Great!!

Ketan and Pranjal will particularly focus building your foundations from ground up. Roleraise is providing a good project almost like real time production. They constantly ask you questions to nudge your brain into learning. This is an awesome cohort.

Realtime project and technical explanation is good. Will be helpful for Transition.

My experience with Role Raise has been extremely positive. They have highly experienced Data Engineering mentors who are deeply knowledgeable and take the time to explain concepts in a clear, structured, and detailed manner. The guidance is practical, insightful, and has helped me build a strong understanding of real-world data engineering practices.

Great experience, currently a total of 17 1-2hrs sessions across 3 different mentors socializing in different topics (SQL, DE concepts, Project application).

Very much a case of what you put in, you get out, but despite that, mentors are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating per student. Ask questions, make mistakes, fully utilize the resources they offer. If you do your part, they’ll do theirs.

I’ve also found that additional YouTube research, setting up a personal Microsoft sql server management studio, reading documentations, and datacamp resources has helped me as I am shifting from another field.

Hoping to apply to data engineering roles with the skills and projects by month 4-6.

The people are very professional and polite. For the time being I find to like a great opportunity for further learning and developing. I hope to get well educated for my further career steps in finding the job in data engineering domain.

Great mentors with extensive IT experience that focus on building a solid foundation and understanding core principles!!! While transitioning into data engineering I had a difficult time finding resources that focus on building a solid DE foundation. Majority of them focused on tools instead. The mentors here do a great job laying out a clear & concise learning path which helped take out the guesswork and time spent learning unneeded skills. My favorite thing about their mentorship program is how they always encourage questions and are able to explain the difficult concepts in an easily digestible way

My experience with RolesRaise is going really well! With flexible slots, 1:1 classes it's nothing like other courses you get online. Really enjoying the learning.

I have taken their Data Engineering mentorship when they were setting up RoleRaise, I was lost before meeting my mentors. I did couple of paid video course but nothing seemed to pay off. Now with their 6 month plan, and resume customisation I have started getting calls for job even before finishing. I feel confident with what to say, how to talk to recruiters and how to give interviews. I am still to land a job which I am pretty confident I will in sometime, I will update about it here!
