I have bought several components many times. Their products and services are very good and acceptable

I had a very disappointing experience with Robu.in. I paid extra for express delivery, but the product was not delivered on time, which completely defeats the purpose of paying for faster shipping. What’s worse is that they never refund the express delivery charges, even when they fail to meet their own delivery commitment.

Their refund policy is equally frustrating and customer-unfriendly. They clearly state that a refund will only be initiated if the product is returned using their own courier partner, which is highly inconvenient and restrictive. This puts unnecessary burden on the customer, even when the issue is not their fault.

Overall, poor service, lack of accountability, and a very rigid refund policy. I would not recommend Robu.in if you expect timely delivery or fair customer support.

been ordering stuff from here for a while, always showed up on time, no issues in payments as well. I have had only 1 issue, where the product description was wrong and they denied a refund cuz the product would still work (it did). The description said the motor I ordered drew 30 amps of power, while it actually drew 50. Ordered the radiomaster pocket controller and it arrived 2 days ago, got it on time and it worked flawlessly, no issues there.

I placed an order, unfortunately it was my first order.
Out of the order, soldering iron was broken and I reported to their customer support.

They asked me to share a photo of the product. I shared.
Then they asked me to share a view. I shared.
Then they said they will book a return. They never did.
Then on multiple follow ups. They said they will not book a return and I should send it at my own cost, which they refused.

They neither refunded the amount of the soldering iron or booked a return even after committing to it.

I sent a private message to the founder / owner of the company on linked in. He never replied.

I have the long mail chain in my inbox of the slow responses of their customer support.

Very poor experience. Different material came than what ordered. Material was damaged. When called said 2 days warranty only.

It's a fraud company. We had order two items from them, but they dispatched only one item that to our billing address not to shipping address. After we complain about the same, they are denying with the statement as they already shipped both the items whereas they shipped only one item, our urgency of delivery also at risk and neither they deliver as per the order nor they admin. I am also going to file a consumer case against this company. Stay away from these fraud

Unprofessional, Dishonest, and Repeatedly Disappointing

I have now had multiple terrible experiences with Robu.in, and after this latest incident I am dropping my rating back to 1 star — and honestly, even 1 star feels generous.

Previous issue:
I ordered an Alinx AXU2CGB Kit Dev Board (₹28,703, Order ID: 2914038) on 04 Aug 2025. They promised a 30–35 day lead time, but after 35+ days of silence, they suddenly asked me to wait another 10–15 working days or take a refund. No responsibility, no transparency, and very poor communication. This delay affected my research work at IIT Roorkee.

Although the order eventually arrived after constant follow-ups, the process was extremely unprofessional.

New issue (November 2025) — This one is worse:
I ordered aluminium 20×60 V-slot profiles. The shipment was delayed again, and only when I contacted them did the agent admit:

“The product is not ready to ship and is damaged. It will take 10–15 days to restock.”

So they knew the product was damaged and unavailable.

But instead of waiting to restock, they intentionally shipped the same defective piece just to buy time and close the ticket.
This is not a mistake — this is dishonesty.

The 20×60 profiles arrived exactly as expected from that admission: damaged, bent, unusable, and poorly packed. The condition clearly shows it was already defective before shipping.

This pattern is now consistent:
• Delays
• No proactive updates
• Tickets closed without resolution
• Poor quality control
• Damaged items shipped knowingly
• Zero accountability

⚠️ Warning to other customers:
Be extremely cautious before ordering anything important from Robu.in. They knowingly shipped a defective product just to avoid admitting another delay. This is unacceptable for any business, especially one selling components to engineers and researchers.

I am attaching photos of the damaged 2060 profiles so others can see exactly what Robu.in delivered.

Until Robu.in fixes their honesty, communication, and quality standards, my rating remains a strong 1 star.

Robu.in has turned out to be one of the most disappointing platforms I have ever ordered from. They clearly do not value their customers. Once the payment is done, their support becomes almost use less.

I ordered a set of electronics components from Robu.in, and I was really pleased with the experience. The parts were exactly as described and came well packaged. The website is user-friendly, and finding the right product was easy. Delivery was slightly slower than I hoped, but overall the service was solid. Customer support was responsive when I had a question. I’ll definitely use Robu.in again for my DIY projects.

I have ordered several dozen times with them and thier shipping is always on time. The parts are generally not faulty but nothing is perfect. I have recieved some faulty parts but support is quick to replace them free of charge.

I recently purchased the Argon NVMe case from this website and was extremely disappointed with the experience. booking id :#2947105 The product arrived incomplete — both the NVMe PCIe cable and the thermal pads were missing, despite being essential components clearly implied in the product description.

I contacted their customer support for assistance, but was met with confusion and unhelpful responses. It became evident that the support team was either unaware of the product they are selling or simply unwilling to take responsibility for the issue. Their inability to understand or address the situation reflects either incompetence or a concerning disregard for customers.

This kind of misleading advertising and poor customer service is unacceptable and unsustainable. Customers deserve transparency, quality, and accountability — none of which were delivered here.

I strongly urge others to be cautious before purchasing from this website. As for the company, this approach to business will not hold up in the long run. If you continue down this path, you will lose trust — and ultimately, your customers.

My experience is one of the more trustable electronic.

I don't know why this have a so low rating because of my experience it's one of the more trustable electronic, 3d printing and robotic online shop.
Only their return process is not very customer friendly but out of that I order regularly from them without problem which is not the case for a lot of other electronic components online portal....

Extremely disappointed with Robu.in. I ordered a product, received it with a missing part (a crucial wire), returned it, and reordered the same item — only to receive the exact same defective product again. The packaging was clearly opened and reused, with visible signs of wear.

Even worse, as soon as I ordered, the product showed "out of stock," which makes it obvious they just resell returned items without proper checks. When I raised the issue, their support first asked for pictures, then delayed responses, and finally told me “we are unable to assist you further.”

This has been going on for over a month, wasting my time and delaying my project. No proper resolution, no accountability. Extremely unprofessional behavior.

Not recommending Robu.in to anyone — terrible experience, and zero value for customer trust.

Fraud. Advertised a sold desol station with a desol gun but never delivered the desol gun but twisted on the semantics. Dilly dallied with the reply on the complaint ticket. Ends the ticket with "Have a good day" without acknowledging their error. Curse on you.

Worst customer service. They use all kinds of tricks to avoid returns and replacements even if it is genuine. First of all they will not even admit if it was damaged in the shipping because of their improper packaging. Their packaging is pathetic. I stopped ordering from their website and switched to robocraze which has a good customer service.

The package I had paid for in advance was never dispatched, and when I called their customer care helpline all I kept hearing was "We are working on it" giving all sorts of excuses, trying to buy additional time. I am certain that no concrete action was ever taken to address the issue, no support ticket was created or opened. This was my first order at Robu, and very likely the last one.

I have been a customer of robu.in since 2017 or so when they used to sell on amazon as well (I don't know/care if they still do) and they are still my primary source of DIY, hobbyist, maker stuff. They have great prices, extensive and ever updating collection, low delivery charges (like it's free on 500+ INR, can't ignore this given other hobbyist stores have this over 1000 or more). And fortunately even the few times (like 3-4 maybe out of 50+ orders) something went wrong, the replacement/refund process was an okay (not the best though say 3.5/5) experience.
I have some concerns though, given that they have started to raise prices a lot and some other business moves that aren't so pro-consumer/pro-maker but investor pleasing since their IPO happened last year, It could be a coincidence given the on goings of global economy right now but I don't know for sure, what I do care is about the Indian maker community's most important source given the d2c chinese options being banned out of existence.

Great website, on time delivery great support staff too. Amazing for hobbyists and anyone from beginner to professional. Have done some massive orders from here and have delivered every part. Once they missed out 1m of wire in my order and within 2 hrs I was offered a refund.
