Was fed up buying cheap divans etc, and then having to replace within a couple of years, so decided to Purchase the Balmoral double plus add ons (Wardrobe, and chest of Drawers)

Love the bed and furniture, Yes it is more expensive than some other wooden bed manufacturers but this was a bespoke service, and i've no doubt will last for many years to come.

Being relatively local as well, Riverwood built all 3 items up for a reasonable charge.

If you are willing to wait a few weeks, Do yourself a favour and use Riverwood. I look on it as an investment rather than a cost. A+ service. No complaints.

Our king size bed was delivered as promised with Jim himself present to do the assembly. We have been very pleased with the quality and appearance of our bed.

On time, exactly as described, craftsman built with quality timber - as opposed to other mass market alternatives. The workmanship is really good and the bed will last for generations. Jim is a delight to deal with and helpful in adjusting designs to meet specific requirements.

Excellent product. Jim a really helpful man and very accommodating. We had to put delivery on hold for two and a half months due to a delay in moving house. Just what we wanted, a strong super king size bed made properly from oak that should last for many many years. A good price. Would recommend.

We needed a solid good looking bed for a very tight space. This needed non standard measurements. The bed was delivered on time and on spec. It is a beautiful piece of furniture as well as being solid. Jim is a lovely guy and very skilled. He even took the time and effort to deliver and fit the bed together himself. In a world of mass produced disposables it is heartening to find true craftsmanship and great service like this. Well done Jim and his team at Riverwoodbeds.

If you actually want a well made bed, as opposed to something which is probably flimsy and overpriced, then talk to Jim at Riverwood Beds. I say talk to him because that is exactly the process, you are able to discuss exactly what you want with someone who actually makes your bed.
Jim crafts some beautiful beds.
Ours was made in the run-up to Christmas. I was wary that we would not receive it on time but no it arrived exactly when Jim said it would.
Upon opening and assembling ours I, as a fellow engineer, was struck with how well and solidly made it was. It is indeed a thing of beauty and something I expect to last for years.

I agree with the previous comments. Every penny we spent on our king-sized oak bed was worth it - incredibly well made bed with beautiful wood, I think 'I love this bed' every time I walk into the room! Great solid slats, gorgeous frame, this bed will not move! My partner also did rugby and is a big bloke, so we appreciate the sturdiness. Jim is always available via phone and a lovely bloke. I shall be buying all future beds from Riverwood - thank you so much!

The fact that we have just taken delivery of our second order from Riverwood Beds says it all how we feel about the quality of the product and the service from ordering through to delivery. Thanks Jim and co, I'm know we will purchasing another bed sometime in the future.

Delighted we found Riverwoodbeds. Recently received our Superking sized Braemer Oak and what a beautiful piece of furniture. Solid, well made item that is worth every penny. Jim was lovely to order from & delivery was faultless, right down to the chocolates included with the instructions. So nice to have something special in this age of flat pack.

Lovely to own something that was made with such care. Every time I walk in the room I say " I love that bed". I love the smell too.

Beautifully designed and constructed and I am just a tad fussy when things don't look right. I had looked everywhere for what I wanted and felt a bit nervous ordering without seeing the bed except in pictures but I needn't have worried.

I put it together on my own. It does not move. It looks like it will last forever.

It was a bit late in arriving but there were good reasons and I was kept well informed. It is a small company but they replied promptly.

I wouldn't even consider buying from anyone else. Thanks Jim and the boys.

Bought a custom made king size bed from Jim, I'll never need to buy a other bed, the quality and workmanship, second to none, I've waited over a year to post this review and I'm as happy with this bed as when the day he built it for me. I'm overweight and hubby is too and was looking for a bed that would take our weight. Can't fault it, solid bed. Recommend this company 100%
