Neighbour knocked on the door, someone had done “something to our cars.” 3 cars & a van had a corrosive chemical poured/sprayed on car doors, 1 car affecting nearly the whole panel.
No method of correcting but Insurer willing to repair in an undefined period, without a courtesy car I could drive available and affecting my NCD.
Heavy costs for some unidentified scroats vandalism.
After contacting the insurer, I searched for mobile repair specialists and called Andrew at Revive! Southport to discuss.
Best thing I could have done.
Arranged of repair at home, supplying electricity & at a cost just over twice my excess.
Kept advised of when & how the repair would proceed, time changes due to overrun at a previous appointment, thoroughly courteous and professional in their dealings throughout and whilst at my home.
Result: car door I could not tell had been vandalised in any manner.
Took before and after photos but can’t upload.
Imagine a door someone pours fluid on. The result, wfere liquid “hit” was a surface something like weetabix but in concrete that couldn’t be removed or cleaned off.
Unless you were Andrew at Revive! Result: a door with an immaculate finish, match to other panels and family can’t “see the join” or believe the standard of quality of repair.
100% recommended, by someone who only provides reviews for exceptionally good, or bad, service.
