Great customer services all round

Great customer services all round. Account managers have been good and reachable.
Product is upgraded regularly. Call center is always available.

Revel Online Ordering and Kiosk System

I started using Revel Customer Kiosk in my Two Establishments 6 months ago, they have been working fabulously. Yesterday I went live with the Revel Online Ordering in both Establishments and things went fantastic. My old online ordering system was difficult for customers to use. The Revel Online Ordering is much easier for customers. The ordering volume yesterday on Revel was great. It actually already matched the busiest online ordering volume on the busiest day of the old online ordering system I was using before. I highly recommend Revel.

Don't do business with Revel systems

Don't do business with Revel systems! You've been warned. My partners and I chose to sign up with Revel systems POS in December 2016. We were made all the promises. Immediatley after installation we realized both debit card and EMV chip reader did not work however the POS did accept credit purchases. We were told those services would be availabLe within 30 days. 8 months later in august after numerous complaints, the POS accepted debit, great! Now all that left was a supposed software update they kept referring to as EMV beta testing in order for chip to work. We were strung along for an additional month into september 2017 when we were finally told WE NEED TO PURCHASE A REPLACE CARD SWIPE FOR $475. Obviously this is unacceptable after spending around $2,000 to purchase and own all of our POS equipment. First we were promised the system is exceptional and cardswipe accepts chip then we were promised it will be online soon. After a long dragged out back and fourth lasting weeks and being escalated multiple times like every other issue we had with them, all they can do is offer 20% off or include and additional $39 a month on our bill to LEASE a new cardswipe. THEY HUSTLED US! they have creative ways of adding additional cost and fees! 9/2/17 spoke with *****, she noted I was looking for emv testing. I don't know what that means but I was calling again to see about emv chip. 9/5/17 ***** says emv is ready but we have to pay $475 9/7/17 email regarding beta testing because obviously they're a mess 9/13/17 ****** says I need to move forward with cards wipe purchase $475 9/13/17 client relations ***** says no discount can be made and emv was never available??? 9/25/17 conference call with ***** and customer relations manager **** whereally I was offered 20% discount or additional $39 /MO to lease cardswipe. This is shortened version. Everything with them is a long drawn out We've already experienced fraudulent activity twice and we're liable for amounts totaling just under $400 because we are considered negligent in regards to not accepting security emv chip. Advice to business owhere would be to deal with local bank and consider there recommendations regarding POS. Look someone in their eyes if you catch my drift.

It seems their response below is an attempt to imply that I chose the wrong card reader. I did not! The card reader I chose has chip reader slot and I was told it would work as stated above! Also, Vantiv is and has been for years accepting emv payments from many POS systems. They have nothing to do with Revel broken hardware. This is how they attempt to dodge their responsibility!!

Good system lack integration needs for 3rd parties. Needs to correct KDS (Kitchen Display System) does not work as it is sold currently. Have been contact with them for 2 years about correcting it with no help whatsoever. The only response is we may be getting to it.

I gave it 3 stars because when the …

I gave it 3 stars because when the system was set up it was done so to connect to a wireless network in my store. When it disconnects from this network, it is very cumbersome to re-connect. For example, we lost power one day, you would think everything would re-connect, not so. We had to troubleshoot re-connection by calling the internet provider, the firewall company, and then the Revel customer support, all during busy operating hours. We were down for a day, which is totally unacceptable in retail. Don't care for the monthly costs associated with it as well, consider them high for having multiple workstations and no price break. Would like to see more inventory control reporting.

On the plus side, this is my first venture into a cloud based POS, so I like the instant ability to see sales and labor data.

I have had Revel Systems for over a …year. NEVER buy this system!

I have had Revel Systems for over a year. We discontinued service on the two UNUSED (mobile order taker was UNUSABLE until 10 months later!!!), NOW they tell me if I inactivate one I will have to pay $10/month!?!?!?!?! They oversold me in the first place!

Zero Support

Had our grand opening. No support on-site. We have been trying to contact someone to help us out for 3 days, voice mail after voice mail (except for the phone that said "Sorry, voice mailbox is full. Goodbye."), email after email and have not received 1 email or phone call in return. Paid for support and informed them we would pay additional if that was needed to get assistance. Keep being referred to tech support. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with them and accomplished nothing. One thing that they are great at...sending me emails asking me to rate how great my support experiences have been.

Technical support is hard to understand …

Technical support is hard to understand most of the time...my POS station was down for more than 24hrs. As a business owner this was very hard not being able to take sales.

thoroughly underwhelming

It's been an ordinary experience. We've been with revel for 6 mths, had 3 sales reps (each of which have left) and now have no sales contact. Your support line is our only interaction with revel and they seems to be hit and miss as to their helpfulness. In our time with revel we have also had our systems go down twice in the first 3 mths for no apparent reason.
That said no one listens to our feedback which I'd imagine will be what happens here as well.
