I provide images to Google Maps including photos, videos and reviews. Today I discovered that my reviews and photos are being used without my permission or accreditation. They are also defacing my images with their own content - cartoon images.

Your business appears to be based on scraping content which you would reasonably expect to be copyright, without the copyright owners permission.

You think that responding to take down requests is a satisfactory way to avoid being called out for profiting from other peoples intellectual property without permission, acknowledgement or payment - it is not.

We had breakfast at Caife Erin in Mendon. The food was excellent would recommend trying this small family owned business.

Vor ein, oder zwei Tagen habe ich eine Bewertung (als unbrauchbar) für Restaurant-Guru abgegeben. Reaktion: Eine Mail an mich um mehr Daten über mich zu erhalten. Keine Nachfrage über das was ich geschrieben habe. Nur noch mehr Daten, als eh schon bekannt sind. Das ist nochmals ein Punkt, diese Website möglichst nicht zu nutzen.
Ausserdem: Wäre es den Machern von Restaurant-Guru wichtig, das was ich sagte nachzuvollziehen, hätte es gereicht, meinen Dialog mir ihrem Bot einzusehen, oder, noch einfacher, die Suchargumente, wie ich sie in meiner Bewertung angegeben habe, selber einzugeben. Damit hätten sie sofort selbst sehen können, wie unbrauchbar das Ergebnis tatsächlich ist. Wenn ich keine Zusätzlichen Daten von mir preisgebe, wird mein Eintrag als nicht von einem Menschen erstellt angesehen und wieder gelöscht. DIE MACHEN ES SICH SEHR EINFACH damit, berechtigter Kritik aus der Welt zu schaffen. Der Kandidat hat null Punkte. Keine Empfehlung!

I would like to review Danesholme Chippy in Corby, Northamptonshire.
This is the best fish and chips i tried in years around England for 20 years. I didn't eat fish for 5 years for some reason i just couldn't eat it. Then one day we decided to order takeaway-fish and chips in Danesholme Chippy Corby...i tell you what that is the best fish and chips i ever tried for 20 years!!And this is not just one try. I order fish and chips now regularly, im just obsessed with it. Yesterday we went Nottingham and we went to Harvester and i ordered fish and chips. Im very sorry that i say this about food but it was rubbish for £38!- just 2 portions small fish without chips and peas! I am highly recommended you to try Danesholme Chippy ! This is not advert.It is my personal recommendation! Fish soo large portion! Delicious batter! Highly recommend!

Great app & service

Come tutte le piattaforme di recensioni, anche Guru non è altro che uno spazio anarchico, senza alcun controllo, in cui chiunque può recensire. Anche chi non è mai stato in quel ristorante specifico o, addirittura, i competitor sotto mentite spoglie. Sono liberi anche di diffamare gravemente e gratuitamente addirittura il titolare o chi ci lavora, senza alcuna forma di tutela. Non esiste un numero di telefono con cui parlare per far valere le proprie ragioni. Niente. Inoltre questo portale è legato a doppio filo con TripAdvisor, un’altra cosca anarchica che perora gli interessi dei diffamatori seriali. Statene lontani!

Restaurant Guru is not a real website as they just list restaurants at random and will move the ones that pay to the top of the list. They will lie about what the restaurant really serves just to get people to visit their site. It is also sickening when you are looking at pictures of food that a place offers, just to have to look at discusting ads.

Les notes sur Restaurant Guru sont clairement bidon. Il suffit de lire attentivement les commentaires et de les comparer aux notes affichées pour s’en rendre compte : beaucoup d’établissements notés à 4,9 ne devraient même pas dépasser 4 étoiles, vu le nombre important d’avis négatifs.

Comment Restaurant Guru peut-il afficher des informations aussi trompeuses ? Cela pose de sérieuses questions sur l’honnêteté et la fiabilité de ce site, qui méritent d’être remises en cause.

C’est surtout insultant pour les vrais commerçants, réellement bien réputés, qui subissent une concurrence déloyale à cause de ces pratiques. En affichant des informations fausses ou exagérées, votre site porte atteinte à d’autres établissements qui, eux, méritent réellement leurs bonnes notes.

De plus, cela trompe les consommateurs, qui choisissent un restaurant en pensant vivre une bonne expérience, pour finalement être très déçus.

Votre site ne sert donc à rien. Je conseille aux utilisateurs, et à tous ceux qui recherchent des informations fiables, de se référer plutôt à Google Local ou TripAdvisor, qui sont globalement bien plus fiables.

Restaurant Guru n’est vraiment pas fiable du tout. On peut même se demander comment certains établissements ont obtenu une soi-disant « étoile Guru » 😂. C’en devient presque ridicule, tant cela semble totalement artificiel.

Pour conclure, beaucoup d’informations ne sont pas à jour : lorsqu’on clique sur une carte pour se rendre à un établissement, on arrive parfois à un autre restaurant, preuve que les cartes de votre site ne correspondent pas à la réalité.

Déjà c’est de demander à quoi vous servez, surtout quand ça fait plusieurs fois que nous vous demandons de corriger des informations erroné sur un autre commerce qui affiche notre emplacement et notre numéro de téléphone et que à chaque fois vous dites avoir fait le nécessaire alors que pas du tout, c’est ridicule. À savoir que vous permettez cela, c’est juridiquement punissable, nous pouvons après vous avoir laisser une mise en demeure vous attaquer pour cela, nous y viendrons. Par ailleurs nous informer que ça prend du temps car vous avez beaucoup de demande, à rire plutôt oui! Demande de quoi? De pause café certe! 1 étoile c’est déjà trop vous ne devriez même pas avoir le droit de gérer quoi que ce soit!

Lovely food, friendly people, an ideal takeaway if you are looking for a nice treat. They give generous portions, good quality freshly cooked food and the delivery times are reasonable. Recommended eating.

Today while travelling through NH 48 Palej, Haldarva, Gujarat 392220, we stopped by here for some quick refreshments.

It’s a dhaba style restaurant with spacious seating area, ample free parking space, washroom facilities, chanazor garam and bhelpuri stalls, vadapav, samosa stall, and shops selling packed food items, clothes, footwear, toys, electric items etc at reasonable rates.

We ordered tea, khari and chana zor garam chaat. Food was good. Staff is friendly and service is fast.

I received an email today (11/29/2025) about my "closed business" stating the following:

"We are pleased to inform that Benny's Bar has been awarded a Recommendation badge by Restaurant Guru, one of the world’s most popular foodie websites with over 30 millions monthly users. Congratulations on your achievement!"

My business has been closed since July 2023, yet they are giving my "closed business" an award?

This site is a joke. I have seen restaurants that received this award promote it on their website and now I absolutely KNOW 100% it is not a valid award nor recognition of anything verified. If it was verified, they would have known my business was closed and would not have given "us" an award LOL.

Vraiment inutile ce service, mon restaurant est fermé depuis 3 ans et la page est toujours présente même si affiché "Définitivement fermé".
Mmmhh.. Je suis peut être un peu dur... Ça me fait quand même un souvenir.

De plus les photos et notes affichées proviennent de Google, tout ce qu'ils font c'est pomper les données d'autres sites.

Je ne comprends pas l'utilité.

Irgendwas ist da faul. Für eine Pizzeria in Regensburg, die eher unter die Rubrik durchschnittlich fällt, werden in gewissen Abständen zu einem Datum ziemlich viele fünf Sterne Beurteilungen mit ähnlich klingenden Namen auf einmal im Block abgegeben.
