I’m a student who has used Resooma for…

I’m a student who has used Resooma for the first time in my third year. Have got an energy bills payment from October which Resooma haven’t paid. Now have letters threatening bailiffs from the energy company. Resooma still won’t pay it despite being us being in constant contact with their customer service team. They never reply to emails and the customer service team always say the same thing and are never any help. They never seem to have any knowledge of what is going on with their own company.

Update: How To resolve the issue:
Do not even bother talking to Resooma’s customer service team, go straight to anyone you can at Billing Better but recommend Anne who is their head of customer services or their COO Harry. They are so much more help and have managed to sort the issue within an hour rather than the 6 months it has taken Resooma.

0 stars. Received court order for their mistake.

0 stars. I have had an ongoing issue with Resooma for a year and a half, being hounded for extra bills money. I was reassured by Elle at Resooma a year and a half ago that I don't need to pay anything, and that it was their mistake/they will be covering the payments. I have now received a 30 day court action warning threatening to contact my employer and take the money directly from my salary. They are also threatening to send debt collectors to my address to "remove any assets at the property to cover the outstanding debt." Resooma are now saying that I am in fact liable for the payment. Absolutely ridiculous and stressful, completely unnecessary. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Elle is so helpful!

When I called in for help, Elle was greatly supportive. She spent a lot of time going through the setup process of my package, making sure I was understanding every detail since it was my first time. She suggested sending me an email with all the details afterwards which was helpful to send over to my housemates who ask a lot of questions I dont know how to answer 😂

We couldn't really get our heads around all of the energy market jargon right now but Elle was able to put it into terms for me so that it was easier to understand!! So far, I would recommend on that basis!!

How to get resooma to actually pay your bills after a terrible experience

such a bad experience with resooma - it's hard to know where to start
Like lots of other people on here we are fully up to date with our payments but resooma never paid our gas bill and octopus have been hounding us for money saying it will affect our credit score if we don't pay immediately. It has been incredibly stressful and we have been given multiple different reasons by resooma why they haven't paid but no one was actually able to help us and no one was particularly bothered about it. We were send round and round in circles being told to speak to different parts of the team who were never available and who never called us back despite it being noted as 'URGENT' or replied to any of our emails. They also left the octopus account under our name making us liable in octopus's eyes as the people who should be paying them when in fact it should be resooma.
It is now sorted and we want to say if you are in the same situation call billing better (they work alongside resooma) customer service and ask to speak to Joso or Freddy - they are incredible and cc'd us into emails with octopus and got our bill paid within a couple of days. They said they were so sorry about the stress we had been put under and were determined to get it sorted ASAP and we can't thank them enough after a very stressful few months trying to get resooma to pay.

Worst Company Ever

Signed up to Resooma for easy energy bills splitting and it has been an AWFUL experience. We have been getting postal bills from energy supplier Huddle, and those bills should be paid off by Resooma. However there is a very large amount outstanding on that account for which we are being threatened by late penalties and debt collection, with for some reason my name on the account. Have called and emailed multiple times with no real action being taken. I want answers and accountability and for this money to be paid off with what we have been paying monthly! Would not recommend at all.

Awful

Used Resooma for our uni house bills and straight away was hassled by other companies for money. Was assured by Elle that this was Resooma's fault and that it was being sorted but the operations team failed to pay the outstanding bills. I spent hours trying to sort this but still, after months, it still has not been sorted. I ended up getting chased for money by lawyers of the other energy company because Resooma had linked the account to me and not paid it off. I am a student and this caused me so much stress being chased for money that Resooma owed.

simple sign up process and decent pricing

Pretty happy with the service so far. The pricing is fair and I found the sign up process simple, all things considered. The company have been helpful resolving issues I had.

Bill splitting is ideal

Last year, my housemates used to pay me for the bills and I found myself taking on the role of the house mum in order to keep track of everyone's contributions. It was often difficult to keep up with and it was easy to forget and lose track of who had paid what to me. Joining Resooma has helped with this and the customer service online is great

DO NOT USE! Horrendous Company our gas bill hasn’t been paid in over 6 months. We have still not received our electric rebate from the government, and they’ve now said they are going to put our bills up even more!!

Stressed about paying bills? Ressoma will make it 100% WORSE!!!!!

UPDATE: After this review was published Elle from Ressoma was quickly in touch having investigated the complaints made in this review. I am pleased to say that they accepted the failures which occurred in relation to our bill being paid, and have refunded the cost of the original fee and the late payment charges that were added. I must thank Elle for looking into the complaints so well and doing everything she could to help resolve the complaint. I hope that our relationship with Ressoma from now on will be much better!

From the beginning of our contract with resooma we have had nothing but issues. Firstly, they moved electricity and gas suppliers for our student property without our knowledge. However, while listing our suppliers as being positiv energy they had actually not processed the transfer so we remained with the old tenant's suppliers, Scottish Power. During this period we had contacted ressoma to question who our supplier actually was, to be told we had nothing to do with Scottish power ! Clearly nobody at this company knows anything about their clients accounts ! Eventually, believing we were being charged twice we closed our account with Scottish power, only then to have rude and angry phone calls from resooma demanding why we had done this ! Clearly they only contact you when its on their terms.

Our latest issue has been surrounding the closure of our gas account with Scottish Power. Our final bill was uploaded onto their postal bills section, where in theory they review the bill and pay it as instructed. The bill was dated the 3rd of January 2023 and was uploaded onto their system on the 28th of December. The review process took place and we believed they had paid the bill. However, we then began to receive daily emails, phone calls and texts from Scottish power regarding our overdue bill regardless of the fact we believed it had been paid. We contacted Scottish power who confirmed it hadn't been paid and then went back to resooma who assured us it was a mistake at their end and that they would rectify it as soon as possible. Another week and another late payment charge and a very angry phone call with a man at ressoma who assured us the bill would be paid within 48 hours.

Today a bill which was originally £212.00 has been escalated to nearly £250.00 purely down to the incompetence of ressoma and their false promises. We had been threatened with debt collectors so eventually we took it upon ourselves to pay the bill directly to Scottish power. Will we get the money back from this fraudulent, grossly incompetent company ? No, but for already stressed uni students we have eliminated the risk of debt collectors turning up on our doorstep.

After reviewing this I have found that the wifi was not installed in an ideal time frame due to the provider, Virgin. We work with Virgin to offer flexible contracts outside of your usual 18 month contracts, however we do not control the engineer work that needs to occur in particular areas. In circumstances where more work needs to occur in your area, we do offer refunds of the time whereby you were without to ensure you aren't paying for the wifi you haven't received use of yet. If you haven't already requested a refund for this time, please email us at info@resooma.com so the team can organise this right away.
