I have been pretty worried about renting a car from Rent Plus, after reading all of the reviews here.

My plane was 4 hours delayed, and so stress levels were high, as we were approaching car hire closing times. I have communicated with them via email, just tickers them in the loop about our arrival.

Nevertheless, the man at the counter was nice to deal with. The car was brand new and immaculate. Everything was explained very well.

The return trip was easy also, and handover of keys effortless. My deposit was released next working day. No surprises, no hidden costs.

I appreciate everyone has their own experience, but mine was excellent, and I would be more than happy to use Rent Plus again.

BEWARE. They deceive you. They claim they are affordable but then they start charging for every small thing. Overpriced insurance, if you travel from Czechia to Austria they charge you for that even though you mentioned you are going there. AVOID AND BEWARE

Scam Alert – $275 Surprise Fee After Return

Rented from Rent Plus at Prague Airport for a short trip to Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland. Told the agent we were visiting Bastei Bridge in Germany— in addition to being told “all tolls are covered” he proceeded to give us recommendations as to what to visit in the area as he and his friends "visited often". It was very clear to him we were going to be visiting Germany briefly (3 hours in total). No mention of any border fee.

Returned the car, told we were “all set,” then hit with a $275 fee after we left the country. No warning and no way to reach customer service from the U.S.

Others have reported the same thing. Avoid this company at all costs.

This place is a scam. I do not recommend it at all — AVOID!

Severe possibility of fraud. I booked a 4x4 but they did not have it at time of arrival. I had a booking via carjet for 84 euro (including platinum insurance) and they charged 270. I haven't realized first due to currency. When i came back to return the car they explained that I have signed for extra insurance. I explained that I already had the platinum from carjet but they denied to pay back. In addition they charged a few days ago, twice the amount of 51 euro without explain the reason. I am pretty sure if I call them back they will say it was due to exceed of speed limits. I am very disappointed . I think the the Czech police and the government have to do something immediately to avoid this kind of robber.

Zarezervoval jsem si a zaplatil auto. 20000kc. Na email mi prislo pouze potvrzeni rezervace s cislem rezervace. Bez podminek prevzeti automobilu. Pri prevzeti se ukazalo, ze musim zaplatis jeste 50000kc.jistinu a 14000kc.dop.pojistku.pry na vsechno. Vzhledem k propadlej platebni karte, mi vuz nevydali a zrusili u prepazky rezervaci. Po tydnu patrani po mych penez ich jsem zjistil ze mi nevrati nic. Z duvodu ze jsem od prepazky nezavolal primo na booking a ne zrusil rezervaci jeste u nich. Ale tuto informace vam uz nikdo neda. Takze z meho uctu nenavratne - 20000kc.a tuto zkusenost jsem mel jiz pred lety, kdy si z meho uctu strhli 25000kc.jistinu,ktera mi nebyla vracena

Hired a car from their Prague city centre location. Excellent price. Car was in perfect condition. They didn’t try to upsell insurance. The whole process of picking up the car and returning it was probably the easiest experience I have had when hiring a car. Can’t understand why there are so many poor reviews. Highly recommended.

I advise everyone never rent car from ren plus because rent plus is scammer I pay 1000 euros deposit they just return 700 euros back I call them they say because you got to Poland there is charge on the ferst day when I rent the car they told me if you cross the border we gunna charge you 50 euros they lies

This company is total scam. Hope they will go down as soon as possible, and pay high price for all stolen money. They do not deserve to be on the market. Stealing money from people without the valid proof of any damage, and then just ignore you. The owner of this company should be in prison!!!

Ready to pay minimum 4-5 times more than you aspected. It is cheaper to take taxi rather than rente a car by this company.

I rented a car from Brno Airport in Czechia. The representative charged me nearly £100 as an approved payment, along with a £1,500 authorization hold. Upon returning the car, I was informed that the £100 fee was for insurance to waive any excess charges. I want to clarify that I did not ask for this insurance, nor did I sign anything to obtain it. I already have travel insurance that would cover any excess charges for a rental. I've attempted to contact them, but I've received no response.

Scam company, avoid them, another way you will be scamed, on website they have exspensive cars but in real world they have not, you will pay more money for comfort car, but you will get budget car and no money compensation, and pushed to buy ewxspensive insurence, they scamed us for more then 200 euro.

This place scammed me out of my deposit. They tried to say there keeping my deposit for taking the car to prohibited countries when I told them what countries I was going to beforehand. Car was brought back to them in perfect condition almost a day early.

Rent Plus is a big scammer...I rented a car from "Rent plus" for three days , and I returned it on the time, then I received an invoice for 10.000 CZK for some small 2 scratches on the car, but I'm pretty sure these scratches were there before I picked up the car , because no one touched the car , unfortunately I forgot to take the pictures when I picked up the car. Now they charged me for 10,000 CZK (as per contract )for the damage which İ never made. This is totally scam . NEVER RENT a CAR from this scammer

Die Rent plus s.r.o hat mir nachträglich 10‘000 Kronen als Kostenbeteiligung, Selbstbehalt oder so was belastet. Habe das Auto ohne Schaden, fristgerecht, vollgetankt und am vereinbarten Ort zurückgegeben. Ich weiss bis heute nicht, was diese Belastung soll. Auf Anfragen (3x) erhielt ich gar keine Antwort. Ich gebe aber nicht auf, das lasse ich nicht auf mir sitzen. Sind wohl Räuber und Gauner. Muss ja einen Stern geben. Einer ist noch Zuviel.

What a horrible experience. Truly awful. We picked the car up from an indifferent individual. It was not the same brand as I had reserved, but we accepted that.

After two weeks the flood warnings became a little more intense, so we decided to come back to Prague a day early. We found a parking spot in the same street where we picked it up. This was on the outskirts of Prague city centre, not on a specific parking lot, but just randomly on the side of the street.
We were informed that we could’t leave the car there a day early, because the business had 10 designated blue parking spots and they were all going to be occupied that day. Since we hadn’t contacted them beforehand we saw this as our consequence and parked the car on a paid spot somewhere else.

Next day, we arrived 30min before we were supposed to drop the car off on the same street. Every blue spot filled. Apparently they are allowed to put their cars on a few streets, which were all horrible in their accessibility. We found a temporary spot so one of us could go to the office and ask about space, but we were just told to “find a spot within the couple places they had”.

We had to drive around for an hour before a spot opened up. You couldn’t even wait somewhere near the blue spots because it’s a very busy road and loads of people use the parking space. Absolutely ruined our last day in Prague.

If you value your time and want a relaxed car rental experience, may I suggest to go somewhere where they have enough parking spaces.

Car pickup queuing time is very long, as many other customers do not use credit card but they need to hold up of 20000czk credit as deposit.

Staff speaks good English, good communication (I’m non-native English speaker and always have problem understand English with heavy assent)

I’ve got a free upgrade (and downgrade), from manual 5 seats to auto 4 seats. Which I’m happy about.

Car is very new, spotless clean in and out, with all the modern electronics.

They clearly explained car cannot be driven outside cz, how my 3rd party exceeds cover works, and stuffs I need to pay attention of.

I ran into a heavy rain when I was in a muddy parking lot, car gone very muddy, called and ask if I should wash before return and they said don’t worry about this.

They open until 10pm so I can keep my car a few more hours as I have a really late flight home that night.

A Nightmare Experience with RENT PLUS S.R.O.– Avoid at All Costs!
We recently had the unfortunate experience of renting a car from RENT PLUS S.R.O. and I can confidently say it was one of the worst decisions we ever made. From start to finish, the experience was riddled with issues that can only be described as a blatant scam.
Firstly, the pricing was misleading. When I initially booked the car online, the quoted price seemed reasonable. However, when I arrived to pick up the vehicle, they tacked on a series of unexpected fees that nearly doubled the price I was led to believe I’d be paying. These “added fees” were vague and poorly explained, leaving me feeling trapped and powerless. It was evident they rely on obscured pricing strategies to lure customers in.
The vehicle itself was in terrible condition. It was dirty, with leftover trash from previous renters, and the maintenance seemed neglected. When we brought these issues to the attention of the staff, they were dismissive and unhelpful, leaving us to fend for ourselves.
To make matters worse, when we returned the car, nothing was mentioned to us but after 24 hrs. we were accused of damages that were already present when we took the vehicle. They charged our credit card on file without our authorization for fictitious repairs, despite many attempts to reverse their charge they did not reply to our request. Their customer service was non-existent; We felt completely disregarded as a customer. They are a company created, designed and in business of defrauding their customer through lies, deception and fraud.
The cherry on top of this is $1500 charge for claiming that we drove to Mostar, Bosnia for 3 Hrs. without permission. They never told us that during our rental pickup. Also dreadful experience was the difficulty I faced in reaching their customer service after the rental. We were put on hold for what felt like an eternity, only to receive unhelpful responses that did nothing to resolve my concerns or disputes over the additional charges.
In summary, my experience with RENT PLUS S.R.O. was not just disappointing—it was a complete scam. I urge anyone considering renting from them to think twice and avoid this company like the plague. Instead, look for more reputable companies that value their customers and operate transparently. Save yourself the frustration and find a rental service that treats you right!

Absolute disgusting scamming company! It's perfect if you want to have a taste of how blackmailing in a foreign country felt like!
We rented a car from Rentplus via NU rental and have already PAID upfront, the cost had already included the rental price as well as the insurance (Loss Damage Waiver, Third Party Liability....). However when we were asked to pay for an extra insurance which we have already been paid for when we fetched the car. They refused to hand the car over if we refused to pay which was absurd because we were asked to pay twice for the insurance. The car itself was 181GBP for 4 days but the extra insurance which we was scammed for was 200euros! We tried to argue with the staff but he refused to explain anything and keep pushing us to pay for the extra. We contacted NU car rental, the staff told us they will contacted w/ Rent Plus and kept us in the loop of whether the scammed money can be refundable but turned out there were no updates afterward. We were very disappointed of how we've been treated and please avoid this scamming company.
