Alan and the team did a great job advising and installing the best suited battery and ev charger for us. We are now reaping the benefits of cheap, clean energy. He was on hand to help with any issues with configuring our GivEnergy Battery and Zappi charger making them work optimally with my energy provider. Very responsive. Got Renewables Solutions in to do the solar and battery part of a house renovation. Alan took the time to understand the requirements and talk through options.
During the process Alan dealt with all the necessary paperwork and kept me informed of any delays.
The system ran into a couple of small issues and Alan and his team worked the problem till I was happy with it and the system was working as expected. Cannot fault Alans commitment to be customer service and customer satisfaction

Alan and his team installed a Givenergy All In One battery for me a little over 18 months ago.

The install was well explained with timescales given and followed exactly. The install day was smooth and Alan followed up afterwards to make sure I could work the system.

I had a few questions shortly after install and a couple of issues with the kit (not to do with the install) and Alan has been excellent at answering my questions and chasing the manufacturer for solutions.

18 months later I had another manufacturer issue and couldn’t make progress with Givenergy support. I reached out to Alan just in case and he picked up the phone to the MD of Givenergy who sorted my issue out straight away.

This is not an installer that disappears as soon as they have your money. Alan and the team couldn’t have been more helpful for an issue that was nothing to do with them.

From my initial installation consultation with Alan & Robin to the final installation of my EV Charger, Renew-Able Solutions were a pleasure to work with.

The cable is fully hidden around the perimeter of the house and perfectly neat when it does go up into the charger!

They arrived on time and even cleaned up after themselves!

Renew Able Solutions did an absolutely superb job to correct problems caused by another company which is now no longer trading. Paul did a great job correctly rewiring our inverter and battery. Alan did an equally great job getting us MCS approved. Our panels and battery are now helping us to run the electrical needs of the house far more efficiently. Renewable Solutions are very high regarding skills, integrity and honesty, I highly recommend them to you for the proper and correct installation of solar panels, inverters and batteries.

Excellent from system design through to installation… and beyond. At the start of the project the advice on system design/sizing was greatly appreciated as was the assistance obtaining the G99 approval, there is a definite desire to listen to the customer, understand their requirements and “to do it once and do it right”. Once design was agreed installation was relatively quick and professional (20 Solar PV Panels with optimisers, 5kw inverter and 9.5kwh battery). Some post installation technical issues were resolved quickly and efficiently with no fuss, a true measure of a quality installer. I am extremely happy with the system design & performance and would have no hesitation in highly recommending Renew-Able Solutions.

We asked Alan and his team to install a set of 16 REC solar panels alongside a GivEnergy hybrid inverter and 9.5 Kwh battery. I'd decided to go for a GivEnergy system in the first place and chose Renew Able Solutions because, in addition to being a GivEnergy approved installer, they appeared to have experience in a range of scenarios and to be prepared work with us to get the right solution for our house and situation. This turned our extremely well.
In short, they've been brilliant. Alan was patient and clearly extremely knowledgeable in discussing the install and the potential quirks of our property beforehand. He and the team have been utterly reliable and highly professional in approach and delivery. In particular they were great at looking after our roof. There were some difficult issues with the pre-existing slates and the team left it in a better condition than when they started despite appalling weather during the install. More simply, Alan and his team are really nice people to work with and have been great at accomodating my geekery and perfectionism. I think their pricing has been very fair too. I'd have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone, particularly if you're interested in ensuring you get the right solution for you and not something simply delivered out-of-the-box regardless of your situation.

GivEnergy Inverter and Battery
Having successfully purchased two EcoFlow Delta 2 power banks from Alan in January we continued our order to include storage battery and inverter. This was installed in the Spring and has now been operational and faultless for 6 months. We opted for an AC Coupled Inverter to accompany our existing solar installation.
Customer service and advice was exceptional throughout. There were a few teething problems to start with which required Alan to liaise with GivEnergy to resolve. An indication of the level of support we received was demonstrated by the willingness of Alan to re-visit the installation, which is some distance from where his business is based. He did this more than once along with several calls to reassure us, whilst monitoring our system remotely and resolved the issues.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Alan and Renew Able Solutions. They were a pleasure to work with.

Having done my research and looked at numerous different companies reviews and quotes I decided to go with Renew-able Solutions.

Alan and the team were brilliant and answered all my questions and concerns before the start and actually came in cheaper than what the original quote was which was a real bonus.
They kept me informed throughout the process and installation and all the equipment was delivered to me before installation.

The pv panels and battery system were installed really well with no issues and are all running perfectly. The system was built around our energy consumption.

We ave been looking at adding battery storage to our house since moving in at the end of 2021 during this time we looked at various different systems with nothing quite meeting our needs until the Myenergi Libbi came along which suited perfectly. As soon as the product launched we sent out enquiries to almost every installer that was approved in Scotland with only a small handful ever coming back to us. Alan from Renew-able was the first to respond within a day of our query. After giving us a quote he arranged to come visit us to discuss what we were looking from the installation and what our needs were. This was the first great experience we had as all others only sent short emails with prices and there was little thought given to our needs. We quickly set on going ahead with the quote from and proposals from Alan and the process has been fantastic. There were some slight delays due to supply issues but they managed to get us up an running in just a couple of months. The aftercare service has also been brilliant any questions we have had have been quickly answered and the ongoing support checking in on us and making sure we are happy with everything has been brilliant.

10/10 would highly recommend anyone looking to install a home battery storage system to give Renew-able a call

I contacted Alan because the company who had fitted panels for us had 'disappeared' without providing an MCS certificate. The company that had fitted these have been reported to trading standards and seem to now not answer their phones or emails. I have found others who had difficulties with them.
Working with Renew Able Solutions was a completely different and really good experience. The quotation given to fix the poor installation and make this MCS compatible was good, the initial visit informative, and the the work was completed within a week as we had some time pressure to have this done. The electrician Paul was very well informed and helpful, explaining how the systems worked and how to get the best from them. We had a car charger and immersion heater control fitted as well as sorting out the MCS and panels.

It was great to work with Alan. The entire process was smooth and stress free, right from coordinating with our roofer to the completion and handover. Alan wasn’t trying to sell as many panels as possible, but instead advised us on the number of panels based on usage.
I wholeheartedly recommend this company!

I'll begin by saying this is a 5 star review but I'll go into more detail so that you know what to expect. Renew-able have installed 14 PV Panels, a 3.6 kWh inverter and a 9.5 kWh battery. Orientation of the house for panels is E-W. The initial plan was to install 8 panels on East and 6 panels on West based on suncalc for efficiency and still have some power in the afternoon. The inverter and the battery would go into the loft.
The panels on West we're installed as initially planned. The one's on the East we're installed in an L shape insteadod a straight line and I'll tell you why. Although I was aware of the Sun path I did not realise that the dormer above bedroom 1 would cast a shade on the panels. Also Alan made me aware that the panels have to be at least 400 mm away from the edge so that they won't get blown by the wind. I realised later on there is an en-suite fan exhaust grille in that area which was avoided, just in case there will be something wrong with it in the future and needs replacing. Although the layout is not as pretty as I was hoping for, it follows all the rules and regulations and all factors have been considered. Now about the GivEnergy battery and inverter. I must say I really like them, also the GivEnergy app is very intuitive. As I mentioned before the plan was for them to go into the loft. When the battery arrived, I've helped to carry it. That thing is really heavy and compact. I would not want that over my head. If it falls trough the ceiling it could kill you. The next option was under the stairs. Not a lot of space but that wasn't the problem. There wasn't enough air for the inverter heat exchanger. Next best option was the garage but I did not want any cables visible so they've hidden the cables in visible areas in the ceiling and for the rest they've used trunking. I was very happy with the cables route from the loft to the garage, a little bit difficult if you've got the electric panel and meter in the middle of the house.
The system was commissioned the same day without any issues. Overall I'm impressed with the installation and I'm very happy with my system. One thing I would say is you might not get what want depending on your scenario and roof configuration but the staff is very knowledgeable and will help and answer all your queries. Don't forget to buy the extended warranty for the inverter. It will give you additional peace of mind. Good luck!
