9 EOR employees, great experience
I’ve had 9 employees hired with RemoFirst in Europe for 2 years and they have been amazing to work with. Our CSM has always been incredibly helpful, and any time problems have come up they are immediately addressed to our satisfaction. I worked with another EOR previously that I cannot say the same about, and highly recommend RemoFirst for anyone hiring globally. I’m glad we partnered with them so I can focus on my day to day work.
Really impressed
Remofirst genuinely saved us in a tricky situation. We were up against a tight deadline and were close to losing a great candidate, but they pulled everything together quickly and got us exactly what we needed in time. They were easy to deal with, knew what they were doing, and kept things moving without any drama. I shall be recommending them to anyone looking for an EOR provider!
No customer centricity - Payroll is inefficient
Payroll is inefficient. They don't care about customers (hired people). They request payments from the company and retain them for a month or more, directly impacting the employee's cash flow.
Their platform have several database management issues, not allowing editions. Also, it doesn't involve the correct people and you need to push payments with all the stakeholders to make it work. This is a terrible EoR option. After a year and a half of having no option than working with them, I strongly suggest not to choose them.

Strong platform for employees, but not contractors.
Strong platform for employees, not so much for contractors.
There isn't a way to front load payments, and the auto-generated payments in the platform aren't dependent on the contractors' actual hours - plus, the system generates duplicate payment requests. This means you have to be laser focused on making sure payments are correct before going through the process of invoicing yourself - and there's no direct bank integration, so you can expect delays between when you use your bank to pay the invoice and the time it shows up in your system. In other words, there's no way to ensure that your contractors are paid accurately and on time.
Have no decency
Constantly contacting me through phone on my off hours. One thing is email. Contacting through phone on odd hours - just plainly disrespectful.

The worst SaaS company I've ever had to deal with. They keep messing up our payroll, paying out incorrect salaries, and invoicing us for incorrect amounts. It's astonishing how little they care about doing a good job.

As others have mentioned, the pricing is very untransparent - I picked Remofirst due to their attractive price of 199€ per month after comparing multiple services; which actually turned out to be 400€ per month once the invoices started coming.
I still kept using them out of lazyness once I was onboarded, as for me the need of an Employer of Record service was a pure convenience factor to reduce my own paperwork.
A few months later I applied for parental leave through their online portal, and the portal signalled that everything was OK - but in reality it took two months of e-mails back and forth and denouncing several invalid invoices before my parental leave actually was activated; which also means that as a new parent I went without pay for a significant amount of time.
Throughout the parental leave there were multiple issues with the invoicing, where for each new person from the support or finance team reaching out the standard cycle became:
1) Rude/threatening emails
2) Unhelpful answers after being informed about local laws and practices
3) Apologizes/attempt to smooth over once they had checked with the local team and realised they were wrong
All in all, what was supposed to be a convenience turned out to be an additional source of stress and annoyance - and I am going to back to just being self-employed instead of using an Employer of Record.

The customer service is great! The team is very knowledgeable and goes out of their way to support any questions we have. The onboarding process was very smooth, and we knew every step since they communicated it from the beginning. Overall, we are very, very happy with RemoFirst since they helped us achieve our international hiring plans at much lower costs.

Working with RemoFirst is simple, easy and effective for my global team. The support offered is personable and allows me to get an answer quickly on anything that is needed. We have team members in a handful of different countries through RemoFirst, and the ability to manage payroll for all of them is super convenient. Highly recommend!
Think twice before choosing Remofirst as your EOR
Our experience with Remofirst was deeply disappointing and raised serious concerns about their professionalism and internal coordination.
The onboarding process was sluggish and inefficient, but the real problems began after we signed the contract. At that point, customer support became virtually unreachable, and accountability was lacking.
The most serious issue occurred during an offboarding: Remofirst instructed us to pay several thousand USD in severance for an employee who was still within their probation period. After consulting with our legal counsel, we learned that no severance was legally required. Remofirst had simply failed to verify the employee’s probationary status. Even more troubling, after their customer support acknowledged the error and confirmed we were not liable for severance, their Finance team contacted us days later, demanding payment anyway.
The entire process was chaotic and uncoordinated. If your organization values compliance, responsiveness, and professional expertise, we strongly recommend investing in a more experienced employer of record.

5 star hiring EOR service!
Using RemoFirst's platform has completely streamlined our international hiring. We’ve been able to onboard team members in the UK, Brazil and the Philippines, all without needing to set up local entities. The platform is user-friendly, the support is great, and their team is always quick to help. It’s allowed all of the stress to be taken out of global expansion and allowed us to focus on building great teams. Highly recommended for any company scaling across borders!

We had a very frustrating experience with Remofirst. During our initial call with one of their sales representatives, they assured us that onboarding and contract setup would be completed in time to meet our candidate’s deadline — specifically, by the end of the month. We made our hiring decision based on this timeline. However, despite repeated follow-ups, Remofirst failed to deliver the employment contract on time. As a result, we couldn’t provide the candidate with a signed contract by the agreed-upon date, and he ultimately chose to remain in his current role. This failure cost us a highly qualified hire and forced us to restart the entire recruitment process, wasting significant time and resources. To make matters worse, customer support became extremely poor after we signed the contract with them — slow responses, little accountability, and no urgency. We would not recommend Remofirst to any company looking to hire international talent.
Additional note: We never handed in documents too late. They never asked for additional information. They just did not meet the timeline.

Complete Disappointment — Hidden Fees, Zero Ownership, Endless Frustration
Our experience with Remofirst has been nothing short of a disaster. Their payroll and compliance management is careless, sloppy, and completely unprofessional — this is not a company you can trust.
We were billed for services we never ordered and then forced to pay for them, without any explanation or accountability. Remofirst outsources everything to local partners, adds their own markup on top, and does nothing but forward emails between you and the real employer of record. They are essentially a useless middleman who adds cost and chaos to every process.
Customer support is a joke — every simple question gets passed along to someone else, and the delays and confusion this creates are unacceptable.
Looking back, I would strongly warn anyone: stay away from so-called "global" EOR providers like Remofirst. Work directly with a trusted local employer of record instead. You'll save yourself thousands in fees, months of headaches, and a huge amount of frustration.
