I ordered the REC X4009 Midnight Blue in August 2025 and it arrived last week (Jan 2026). I am very happy with the watch itself. It met, in fact exceeded, my expectations in terms of build quality, packaging etc/.... However, there were a few small things that reduced my overall customer experience.

First was the time between ordering and delivery. Inital estimates were delivery by Mid-November, however I did not receive my watch until almost 2 and half months later in early Feb (5 months after ordering).

Second dissapointment was more with the shipping company (FedEX) that REC. Their communications were hopeless. I received an email from FedEX dated 3rd Feb telling me that customs duty needed to be paid by COB 2nd Feb (ie: the day before) or the package might be returned to sender! Luckily I paid and the package was delivered. The only reason I mention this here is that after ordering I had asked REC to changed the delivery to DHL as I have had several bad experiences with FedEX...but they still sent it via FedEX.

Notwithstanding the above, I am extremely happy with the watch and would definitely consider another purchase from REC in the future.

Kept me well informed on reasons for the delivery delay. Went out of their way to help. Watch received and it is exceptional. Great product and a great birthday gift for us to give.

I have owned a p51 Eleanor edition for around 4 years. The watch is a beautiful work of art. However, as an amateur collector I have only worn the watch a handful of times (around once or twice a year for the goodwood revivel car show). And although its been worn very sparsly, the orange colouring on the strap has begun to wear off and mark. I have reached out to rec multiple by email and have had no response at all. I have asked if it can be covered under warranty and if not id be happy to pay retail price for new strap. And yet iv can get a hold of them ether by email or phone. Very disappointing customer service for such a lovely watch. I desperately want to purchase the lotus f1 and the sr -71 watch but cant bring myself to commit if I cant be assured of after sales service should anything go wrong ! I hope this review my prompt a response and hopefully restore my faith in the company.

Kald mig bare "tung" eller krævende, men jeg forstår ikke jeres kundeservicekoncept. Jeg har et afgørende spørgsmål i forhold til et ur jeg påtænker at købe. Men ringer jeg inden kl. 9:00 får jeg en telefonsvarer og ringer jeg efter, ringer den bare igennem. Hvad sker der? Jeg må indrømme at jeg forventer lidt mere opmærksomhed, hvis jeg skal smide et tocifret tusindbeløb efter produkter hos jer.

Watches have great designs and quality construction. This was my second watch from them that I have in my collection and both are great timepieces.

I first saw the REC watches of Facebook and thought “wow”. I have always been fascinated with the spitfire and the P51 Mustangs. So the REC watch with a piece of the original Spitfire on the face was something I wanted. After I ordered the watch REC emailed me and provided me an additional 10% off as I wasn’t aware of whatever promotion. I think that’s pretty amazing!! When I received the watch I was incredibly impressed. I love the blue dial. The weight and size fit my wrist well. I have just started “collecting” watches last year. I have a submariner, black bay Christopher ward, Hamilton and now this. For value and quality I would definitely recommend. Oh and it came in a very cool spitfire based box.

My watch is lovely.
I now own my own uniquely numbered Evel Knievel TTT watch.
The quality & packaging are very high standard.
My only reservation is that customs fees etc need to be made clear.
To state ‘free delivery’ but have £200+ charges added from the small print was a shock.
To REC’s credit, we worked it out.
I did appreciate your response.

Orologio fantastico, sia per qualità costruttiva (lavorazione della cassa, quadrante) che per estetica, davvero stupenda e davvero pensata per richiamare le muscle car americane: il font dei numeri, la forma delle sfere, l’indicatore della riserva di carica… tutto perfettamente studiato. E per me, che adoro la Ford Mustang, vedere sui lati cassa la riproduzione delle luci posteriori e la griglia anteriore, è puro piacere.
Packaging incredibile: scatola di metallo che contiene la scatola di cartone, in cui a sua volta è alloggiata la custodia da viaggio. Il tutto con 3 anni di garanzia. Davvero promosso!

Fantastic watch, both for construction quality (case processing, dial) and for aesthetics, really wonderful and really designed to recall American muscle cars: the font of the numbers, the shape of the hands, the power reserve indicator... all perfectly studied. And for me, who loves the Ford Mustang, seeing the reproduction of the rear lights and the front grille on the sides of the case, is pure pleasure.
Incredible packaging: metal box that contains the cardboard box, in which in turn the travel case is housed. All with a 3-year warranty. Really promoted!

Great product; had a bit of difficulty trying to reach out since I did not receive an order confirmation immediately after purchase (actually some days passed by) but I assume it was due to the time difference and high demand season (thanksgiving week), nontheless the watches are great, is the second one I own and ordered a third one to be delivered in sept 2026

My watch was delivered quickly and for the quality and swiss movement is great value,I had an issue of my own making that was resolved quickly and effectively by Christian and Jonathan,I will be buying another watch from REC soon.

Jeg købte et P-51 Little Red i 2021, men tog det først i brug for 3-4 måneder siden. Da jeg for 3 uger siden skulle trække det op, stoppede minutviseren med at dreje rundt. Da jeg er mega glad for uret, ville jeg kontakte REC for råd/hjælp til reparation. REC oplyser at man kan kontakte dem på den info mail man bliver oplyst
Jeg har sendt en mail på engelsk d. 26-11-2025 og den samme på dansk d. 01-12-2025 uden at få svar, eller besked om at de har modtage mail fra mig.
Det syntes jeg er ærgerligt når jeg ellers har haft en god oplevelse med køb af uret og samtidigt er rigtig glad for det..

Title: Very disappointed – REC Watches do not tell the truth about power reserve

I bought a REC Watch, the Tourer model, from Truss. According to the specs, it should have a 41-hour power reserve. In reality, it stops after only 8 to 10 hours — even though I wore it daily and manually wound it to keep it charged.

I sent the watch to REC’s after-sales service, and after four weeks, I received it back with no improvement. The power reserve problem is still there. I contacted customer service again, and they insist the watch “works fine.” It doesn’t.

To make things worse, the watch came back with micro scratches on the dial. It’s still faulty, and now I have to start a warranty claim process even though the watch is barely three months old.

REC Watches do not tell the truth about their products — the 41-hour power reserve is a lie. Extremely disappointing experience, poor quality control, and unhelpful customer service.

The watch is well made, and beautiful. However the internal mechanism is flawed, and it will not keep accurate time.

For a watch to be considered 5 stars, it would need to perform its primary function (as a watch) perfectly. This one does not

Also they discarded my order when it was their fault, which heavily delayed the whole process, and the attempted reparations were appalling. I doubt I'll buy from them again given the serious issues with this order and product

Received my x4009 collection watch approx 4 weeks after ordering it. Really happy with the watch, a lovely timepiece with heritage.
Overall experience was good to very good, the only niggle if I was to be picky would be more communication so the customer was better informed as to the order position. Would I order again, definitely, a lovely timepiece and piece of history!
Delivered by DHL who I was very impressed with and kept me fully informed as to where the package was and any customs delays.

The supplier could not depiver to the original date, it was constantly delayed, i had to constantly chase for updates. When it did i arrive i got hit for customs duties which wasn't made clear at the time and the packging the watch came in was also damaged, they perceve themselves as a high end watch company, however there is a lot of work to be done to actually back it up.

After several months and more than one delay, finally got the watch, after sending them an email got a message within 48hours to say it has been sent. Then received an email from Fedex with an additional duty/custsoms bill of over £500 that I had to pay before they would release the watch. So can imagine not happy about that. Would I buy from this company again? Personally no I would not. (UK). One other thing the watch looks good.
