Unique! Absolutely different to any other book club I've been a part of! I love it. It's fun and light and incredibly engaging, and you get to meet tons of people with very different backgrounds.

An inspiring and fun community
I honestly can't recommend RBC enough - all of the events I've been to I came from inspired, having talked to interesting people and learned something new. A truly unique community!
Come for the book club, stay for the community!
If organising is a skill, then community building is an art form mastered by the leadership at RBC. Have been a member for over a year and my every interaction has been wholesome. Monthly topics are always interesting and the events always strike the right balance between conversational, educational and inspirational. Cannot recommend highly enough!
Great book club with great people
Have loved my time at Rebel Book Club. The best thing about it is the people you meet, and the conversations you have at the monthly meetups. The diversity of topics means that you also keep reading out of your comfort zone. And there is no pressure to read the chosen book, instead you can you just read something you want on the topic and still contribute to the conversations.
The in-person events can sometimes feel a little too activity-focussed, I would personally prefer to focus most of the time in person having organic conversations about the topics relevant to the book. But the average event is fantastic.
Fantastic book club
Fantastic book club - incredibly well organised, always welcoming, and consistently interesting and fun.
Amazing place to meet like-minded people
I joined the Rebel Book Club in London because I primarily read non-fiction and wanted to find a face-to-face community to share my passion for reading. Through the club, I discovered thought-provoking and educational books that I wouldn't have picked up on my own. One of the amazing aspects of the Rebel Book Club is its connections to the authors, e.g. we had a video responses to our questions from the author who lives in the USA and had a chance to meet the author in person who lives in London. The organizers are fantastic and friendly, and the club attracts over 50 attendees in London.
Rebel Business Club
A decent non fiction book club that is a bit too expensive for what it is. As a member of about a year the vibe has shifted from being somewhere you could make friends to feeling more like a networking event for millionaires. The bright movie star lighting and groan inducing sponsorships (we have heard about WeRoad enough for now) can only lead me, an unambitious lonely londoner, to dock a star off my original review.
Still a decent book club although my friends do wonder why it costs so much even for a annual membership.

Long-standing member, definitely recommend
I’ve been a member for the last three years and cannot recommend it enough. Not only is it a bookclub to get recommendations - it’s also a supportive community of different interests and you can always find someone that has the same interest as you.
If you want to expand what you're reading.
Rebel Book Club is a non-fiction book club, I've been a member of Rebel Book Club for nearly two years. In that time, I've read books on a variety of topics, including why we struggle to focus, social media influencers, loneliness, transgender issues, Refugees' experiences, computer games, cults, genetic engineering, artificial intelligence, the art of conversation, growing up in communist Albania, humans living in space and more.
How it works is that each month concentrates on a different topic. They send out a newsletter, with three books related to that topic, and you vote for the one you want to read. The vote result is announced about a week before the month's end. Reading of the chosen book starts on the 1st of the month. In their newsletter, they include links to resources about the topic. a progress chart. Usually on the last Monday of the month, they will hold an online event; physical events are also held the same week in London and Bristol. I've never been to physical events, so I can't comment on what they're like.
The online event usually starts with a quiz about the topic or an interview with a guest speaker who may or may not be the author of the book we've just read and an opportunity to ask questions.
Then, we break into smaller groups; their software randomly assigns people to groups, ensuring you talk to a mix of people. There are usually around four people in a group, and prompt cards give questions to discuss, so you're not sitting looking at each other.
Then, everyone rejoins the main group, and there is an opportunity for people to say anything or talk about what was discussed in their group. During the month, you can discuss the book via their WhatsApp group or arrange to meet up with other members using their Rebel Coffee service.
I've really enjoyed being a member of the group, and as a result, I've read books on topics that I wouldn't have otherwise read.
Definetly recommend the RBC

Came for the books
Came for the books, stayed for the community :)
Great way to make friends in London, and also meet cool people in general!
Good reading habits and interesting topics
RBC has really helped me to get (back) into the habit of reading and brought me in contact with lots of interesting topics which I wouldn't normally dig into myself. Great experience.
Definitely recommend RBC!
Thanks to my membership I have read books which I would never have picked up otherwise: "All We Can Save", to name just one, was a life changing eye-opener for me.
When having to end my subscription (lack of time) this was made super easy by a very helpful Help desk.
Would definitely recommend RBC!

Je suis membre depuis sa création et je dois dire que je suis devenu accro.
Tout y est parfait, l’organisation, la bienveillance, la qualité des œuvres proposées.
Une très belle expérience.

I've been a member of RBC for over 5…
I've been a member of RBC for over 5 years and not only have my reading habits improved but I have a constant source of inspiration from the global RBC community that Ben & Ben have created. It's a truly wonderful club to be part of and the flexible packages offered work really well in the current world we're in. Some of the most engaging and mind expanding conversations I have had have been at RBC meet-ups or through connections from the club. I don't think I could love it more if I tried :-)
If in doubt - just do it
If you're doubting whether you should join this club, let me copy Nike's slogan and tell you to 'just do it'.
I've been a member for about 2 years and it's has made such a positive impact on my life. I joined to read more non-fiction books and to meet new people, and it's exceeded my expectations. You get to meet a lot of like minded people, read some amazing books across a variety of topics and there's plenty of additional groups you can join depending on your interests.
Give it a try, I promise you won't regret it.
RBC has broadened my horizons
RBC has broadened my horizons, exposed me to topics I had never before even considered and introduced me to a whole series of inspiring and useful books. But perhaps most significantly RBC has introduced me to a whole world of fascinating and fun-loving people I now call my friends.
A Most Rewarding Social Community
I’ve been a member from pretty much the beginning of the club’s existence and have thoroughly enjoyed its evolution from an intimate gathering of friends and acquaintances to now an exceptionally diverse community of inspiring, curious and passionate book lovers. This is for sure not your average book club. Not only you get to learn and grow by reading such a wide variety of non-fiction books but you get to connect with genuinely wonderful individuals.
I love the always engaging in-person meetups and activities to discuss the books. I’ve been fortunate to have been given the opportunity to play an active role in managing the club’s community in the past and help curate the meetup sessions. The club always encourages its members get involved however they can and to promote any relevant work and/or projects they may have, whether at the meetup itself, during organized one-on-one coffee sessions or in one of the many spin off groups that members have organized between themselves.
A big bonus is when the club manages to get the authors to attend or sync up virtually, and the seriously cool spaces the in person meetups are hosted in.
Rebel Book Club have played an integral part in my experience of living in London, especially during my early days. The club connected me to people who I have remained very good friends with to this day. Not only am I enjoying reading and discussing great books but I’m also getting lots of inspiration, motivation and creative and business insights from its members.
I have been fortunate to attend meetups in various parts of the UK and have hosted some abroad as well. I’m confident the club will continue to embark on even more exciting journey ahead!
Great people but very narrow age range
A great idea with some great people. However, its membership is limited to age 20-30ish and this should be clearly stated. My own experience was that despite some lovely welcoming members, the limited age range was impactful and meant that there wasn’t a wide enough range of perspectives in conversations about the titles. I was also disappointed that members did not read the more challenging (longer) books. Why go to a meeting when you’re the only one to have finished the book? Sadly, because I was very enthusiastic about RBC to start, I have found more camaraderie and committed readers at free book clubs with a wider membership.
