Great service and fast delivery. Great choice of spare parts for a recently purchased R/C car. Bought the uprated shocks, made a big difference to the car.

Faulty product and non-existent customer service

I purchased an RCG Racing MT 1/10 Brushed Monster Truck from RC Geeks for my son for Christmas at a cost of £130. After only around 120 minutes of total run time, the steering completely failed. There has been no crash damage, nothing visibly broken, and the car has been used exactly as intended.

This was my son’s main Christmas present, and he is now left without it just days after Christmas. Having to explain to a child why their new toy no longer works — and why the company won’t help — has been incredibly disappointing and upsetting.

I contacted RC Geeks to request an exchange or refund under warranty for what is clearly a faulty product. After some delay, I was asked to provide a video of the fault, which I did immediately. This was acknowledged by RC Geeks, but since then there has been no response for over 10 days, despite multiple follow-ups.

I am now left with a broken product, no resolution, and no customer service support, and I have no choice but to contact Trading Standards to report this poor consumer practice.

Based on my experience, the product quality is poor and the after-sales support is effectively non-existent. I would strongly advise others not to purchase from RC Geeks, especially if you expect any form of warranty support.

From the off a quick and easy buy you a supremacy mailing service

No warning on duty for sales into Ireland. Site localised to look like it was an Irish site, after response they are gaslighting me that I was confused. Site has an ie and euro banner in the top and I’m supposed to know somehow it’s a UK trader. Avoid avoid avoid

I came to this website because we'd had a run of disappointing toy rc cars and wanted one that might last. So far it seems great - the controls are fine for our 5 year old and he loves it. It goes over bumps and steps and rough ground, though gets stuck in long grass. Charge is long enough for a play session in the park. It's great.

The company is also fantastic - I made an error with the delivery address and they were beyond helpful making sure it got sent out again in time for Christmas. They replied to emails really fast, suggested options, and were incredibly helpful and kind. Can't recommend them enough.

I bought an mt-one remote control car, along with various upgrades(suspension, battery, charger, plastic to metal drivechain upgrade) for my son for Xmas. Ended up spending quite a bit of money on it.

When adding all the upgrades it seemed the central drive shaft upgrade was missing a part i.e. pinion gear to mate with the large external diff gear. There was no advice on rc-geeks for metal drivechain upgrades e.g pre-reqs.

Contacted rc-geeks on 27th Dec and was sent pdf manual url as response - it did not contain any information pertinent to my question (doesn't include metal drivetrain info). I flagged this, and I was then told they did not have the answer right now, and they would respond next week. Still no response on 3rd Jan 2026.

In the end I found the information out by looking at ebay webpages selling the same parts as RC-Geeks. On the ebay pages they helpfully listed part pre-reqs.

My advice to RC Geeks:

1) don't tell a customer you will respond in 1 weeks time unless you intend to

2) add upgrade bundles to your site for full plastic to metal drivechain upgraded, so that customers don't end up buying more parts than they actually need e.g dont buy fully assembled metal diffs if you will need to buy Machined Metal Diff. Gears & Diff. Pinions & Drive Gear anyway.

You have bundles for other upgrades (e.g. brushed->brushless motor). It would be a massive value add if you listed the various upgrade paths on offer, and have one click buy.

3)I left reviews on RCG Racing Tracer / MT-One Heavy Duty Centre Drive Shaft & Outdrive Cups & Pins & Screws (Upgrade),RCG Racing MT-One 1/16 Monster Truck - Blue and RCG Racing Tracer / MT-One steel Machine Diff. Complete With Metal Cups (Upgrade) . I see none of these have gone online even though I posted them 2 days ago. Most sites have a buffer of a few hours to presumably scan for offensive messages/urls etc. I included part numbers for pre-reqs for other customers to use. Hopefully you will process those next week.

4) add pre-req upgrade parts for the relevant individual upgrades. e.g.if you buy part x make sure you have part y and z also!

Awaiting response from a few days. Poor support.

The car I purchased has not been working since Christmas. No help from RC Geeks. They ask me for videos and pictures. I sent them as requested but no response again. Also send them pictures with multimeter readings which they requested. What else? I would like to return faulty product! Any response from you guys ???????????????????

The buying of this car was stress free and it arrived on time.
It was for my Grandson’s 13th birthday and he took control immediately, loving it. It’s too fast for inside but he’s been in the garden, in the park and best for him was on the skate park!! He even drives it along the pavement slowly his control is so good. We bought it for the fact you can buy spare parts so I hope this works out. We bought the second battery and together got at least 45 min use.

Great RC car for my 8 year old son. Good quality, good price, great customer service. Would buy from them again. Recommended

First time buyer. What a service! Ordered on 23rd Dec, arrived xmas eve, leaving enough time to wrap!
Used it twice so far, for long periods too, my 8yr old son loves it….. as do I to be fair!

I orderd on the 22 dec and it arrived the 24 and rc geeks literally saved Christmas, as iv order 3 rc drift cars from another place and they have not shipped just took my money, so rc geeks sent there just in time which I was amazed given the time of year but they kept to there word brilliant service

Postage was fast and recorded.
My son loves his piranha brushless monster truck - Extremely fast and robust such good fun. I ordered a 2nd battery which was priced really well. Battery time is decent about 20 min a battery give or take this is with hard driving / continuous full speed.

Great RC Drift cars and importantly, really great customer support/service. You can communicate via the chat function on the website and this is not AI rubbish. You actually deal with a person that can resolve your issue (like ordering the wrong product and needing to swap it out, like in my case). Very impressive. Other retailers should take note. Great service and great product. Even though this was a last minute purchase it was delivered quickly and was well packaged. The RC truck itself is simply brilliant.

Really happy with the RC car. Excellent first 'grown up' toy. Website was really well organised and easy to use. Minor issue with delivery times but this was sorted and made right. Would use again.
