Great service and financial advises to get good rates

I started shopping for a better bank account because I had a high interest savings account at a bank but I didn’t have enough in it to actually get “high interest”. When I found rateshop I saw they had “Investing” and that I could get a GIC from their website that had the same interest rate my bank promised - except I could actually get it this time. I was able to get a GIC and a new bank account at the same time.

I needed a new credit card because I wanted to start collecting air miles. I tried applying thru my bank but they wanted me to call them and I didn’t want to listen to a sales pitch. Rateshop just showed me the cards and let me pick the one I wanted. They have an “annual rewards” column which said how much money the card would earn. I thought it was pretty cool, but we’ll see if it’s accurate.

DEFINITELY recommend this company. Easy to compare mortgages, easy to apply, easy to get approved. My first-ever home purchase almost fell through because my first mortgage application was denied AFTER pre-approval. Was pulling my hair out trying to save the deal. I’m just so relieved I was able to get financing in time!

They have so many mortgage offers on their site, I couldn’t believe it. My bank (which now I’m dropping) denied our mortgage because my wife has bad credit, so it was a big waste of time. Rateshop approved us in a day and they even have bank account offers so I can also change my bank!

When I was searching for a mortgage I would spend a lot of time on the phone and talking to banks/brokers. I was so happy that I found a website that lets me actually apply online instead of having to call a million different people! I got a great rate and it took only a day to get approved – total lifesaver!

I had to book a trip with short notice because of a family emergency back home in India, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get travel insurance in time. I try to not travel without it because you never know what can happen. I thought maybe I can find some company to do a quick travel insurance before I left and rateshop let me print it at home!
