Dreadful place

Dreadful place
Bought bread rolls that were well within date. On opening covered in black mould. Store replaced them and same thing happened.
Couldn’t lodge complaint on line as when site not working. Called head office and complaints said they couldn’t do anything despite a family member being ill as a result of eating some of their mouldy product. A week after being passed to investigation team no one from Raley’s has contacted.
If you want to stay healthy don’t shop here.

The store is clean

The store is clean, but prices are very high. There are multiple member systems (member pricing, coupon clipping, etc.) which can be confusing. I live by a Safeway and Bel Air, and Bel Air is just so much more expensive. I understand that Safeway is larger, so they can probably negotiate better prices, however. It is still hard to shop there because of this. Produce also seems to go bad rather quickly and there aren't as many options. The bagged lettuce is already almost bad before you even buy it. They seem to be moving to more self-check, but prices continue to go up.

My local Bel Air (Raleys)

We live right next to Raleys (Bel Air) in Elk Grove and buy food there almost every single day. The store is clean, employees are always helpful, and they have a lot of self-check machines (which I like because I just want to be in and out as quickly as possible).

My store always has interesting & unique items in the front to try, which I really like. I've been wanting to try Hoxy Ramen Toppings, but didn't want to pay $8 for shipping. I went in on Sunday and they had it there for the same price as it is online (without the shipping fee).

They also have fresh Chinese food until about 6 PM (after 6, you can get a great deal on what they have left over), their deli is fantastic, and I love the bakery.

The food there can be expensive, which I don't like, but I tend to look for deals and buy what is on sale. I'm not a fan of their website or having to clip coupons, but I do like the personalized & general discounts I get from it.

Depends on the Store

I've never had a downright terrible issue here. They're just so expensive! The one near me must get hit with rush after rush because I've gone in there a few times to see much of what I needed unavailable, but the 2nd closest is well stocked. I guess it just depends on the store.

I received confirmation email for delivery that stated I would receive text and email when order is complete. I got neither. I did not get an item and did not get any clarification. Such as, was the item out of stock?or was it forgotten?
I was notified by Raleys on Watt and Maconi Sacramento that they are now using DoorDash. If that is so, Doordash should be holding the Raley’s service standard of courtesy: I expect notification if something is out of stock. And text when they deliver.
DoorDash communicates with me when I use them directly. If they are not given my cell phone for texts OR actual phone call, they should be.
People who are unable to shop due to illness or disabilities rely on delivery and should receive better service. I don’t usually have time to provide feedback but I’m sick and can’t shop for myself today.
If I continue to use delivery with Raley’s, the solution is to go through DoorDash suppose, but I would not get Member benefits and sales then.
I know you are a family company, thought you’d want to know.
Otherwise, if I were reviewing Raley’s ecart Shoppers - they do great! They Communicate! When something is not available, I know!

A dying brand in real time

They’ve completely cut down their staffing in their stores and now clearly on their website. Everything takes longer to buy through Raleys and your prices are not worth that. This is a dying brand in real time.

Raley's, North Hills, Reno Nevada

The store in Reno Nevada, North Hills Blvd., was recently remodeled. It looks nice, but that is where my compliments end. Every isle has been rearranged, so shopping now takes more time, as we are hunting for our groceries. I can see no reason why it was changed, but I'm sure there's some reason. Someone in research and development must have decided to keep their customers in the store longer, so they would spend more money. This store has the nicest staff, I know a few of them by name. Again, that's where that compliment ends. The same person who decided upon the remodel, decided that self checkout was a good idea. Today I was again forced to use the self service, as there was only one cashier available, and she was trying to assist at least 4 customers with the self checkout stations. They had no other checkout option available. This is ridiculous! Were I that cashier, I would have turned in my apron and name tag and left, never to return. She was responsible for helping customers navigate the process, along with the task of making sure that people weren't just bagging their stuff and leaving with unpaid for items. I know that many of their employees have had their hours reduced, and I have taken to bagging my own groceries as there is usually no one to do so other than the cashier. I'll admit, it's more expensive to shop at the Raley's, but I used to know where everything was, and I used to enjoy seeing a familiar face to check out with. I have associated the self checkout experience with some of the larger stores, and have made a choice not to shop them. I have always liked Raley's, as the customer service was superior to other stores. Since this has changed, it is likely that I will not be shopping at the Raley's anymore.

I wish we didn’t have to give any stars; they don’t even deserve 1. So here it goes: my 15-year-old daughter and I have gone to this store a few times, and every time we go into the store, we’re followed by security, so one night we were in there, and we had stopped in the health and beauty medicine area. Well, I had gone in there to get. A yogurt that they carry well, they didn’t have any, so I asked a gentleman when they would be getting some more. He was rude and said he didn’t know; check back another day so we get our items, we check out, we get to the door to leave, and he refuses to let us out and tells us to give back what we took from the aisle. I can’t remember what aisle, but I kind of looked at him strange, and then he said, Give back what you guys just stole, and I told him we didn’t steal anything. I opened my purse to show him. We didn’t take anything. I had bought a travel-size deodorant that I had put in my purse after I paid for it, and he asked me, Is that what I stole? I showed him the receipt and said once again, We haven't stolen anything, so he told us we were over by the health and beauty and medicine aisle for a very long time. Mind you, my purse was in the cart the whole time; my daughter was pushing the cart, and he could've reviewed the cameras to see we didn't steal anything, but he proceeded to accuse us of stealing, so finally I got mad and told him, We didn't steal anything; now open the door and let us out, so he finally did, and we were kind of arguing back-and-forth. A security in the parking lot pulled up and asked what was going on, a very nice lady, and I told her what happened. She told me that because I have a big purse, that’s why he accused me of stealing. She said anybody that comes in there with a big purse or a backpack automatically gets accused of stealing, and I told her that’s discrimination, that’s stereotyping, and I even opened my purse to show her. We didn’t take anything; I even told her she could search if she wanted to; she told me that that’s not necessary. She believed me, so I called their corporate to let them know what happened. I called once, still didn't get a response, called twice, and still didn’t get a response. Call the third time; still didn’t get a response, so I have decided to go forward with a lawsuit, and if there’s anyone else that has experienced this at their store, please get in contact with me. You can leave me a message on here or you can go to yelp to my review on there and leave me a message. My attorney is more than happy to hear your story and help you in any way he can. By the way, the guy that accused us is a MANAGER SMH; his name is JUAN.

The website is nearly unusable

The website is nearly unusable. Simple tasks like pagination are tragically awful. "Something went wrong" window appears if you are patient enough to wait for it to timeout on the request (like 3 minutes). Adding/removing things from your cart often times stymies the underlying script objects performing the operation, which is unfortunate because this is what this website is about. The app isn't much better, but it would like you to take a tour of it every time you use it. I tour usually includes having the app crash, which I guess is an accurate reflection of what it will do regularly. Maybe take some of the money collected from your high margin items and hire a qualified web and app developer.

Worst Shopping app ever

I do virtually all my shopping on line due to mobility issues: including groceries and just have to say: This is the absolute WORST shopping app I have ever tried to use. Checking out is impossible to complete - repetitive, frustrating and eventually pointless.
In the store experience is always fine and the personnel are great, product is good
- but, no lie, WORST APP ever.

From Calif I am sure to AZ where they purchased all bashes related stores is CRAP! Produce is ick, can’t have a banana last more than a day or two. Selections are either the cheapest or the most expensive. Staff is stretched to do one job and then do another at the same time! What?? customer service not avail and sad! I have called without any calls back to me, I ask pls change the name of Bashas and quit piggy backing on what once was a family store with high standards and excellent service and pretending its the same when its NOT! I only go there IF I need to for one thing or 2. Raleys is fraud and needs to stop! Pls shop elsewhere or you too will be a disappointed shopper as myself.

TERRIBLE ,TERRIBLE Raley's on Marconi

Raley's on Marconi, at 215 in the afternoon, Monday Sept. 23 8 people in line for one checker, ten people in line for self check. Asked for another checker, did not happen. I have shopped Belair and Raley's for about forty ,40 years. The prices have gone up faster than inflation and the service has gone from great to terrible

Why 3 levels of "member" coupon access?

Ad arrived in yesterday's mail. Again, the app member interface has changed. I cannot find access to "clip" to load digital deals either on app or via QR code. Can you please advise me where to access the digital deals now?
I am SO over the gymnastics Raley's expects the customer to do to actually get the "coupons" offered. It's ridiculous in the extreme to make us go to THREE different places to get coupons. I've been a Raley's customer for over 40 years- 35 years exclusively a Raley's customer but I buy less and less from them because I don't believe the leadership deals squarely with or values me. If they don't want to fulfill on the "offers" then don't advertise them! If the "coupons" aren't "active until a certain date, then show that date in the ad!
I met Tom Porter Raley. He was a good man. I haven't liked the turn of things in the last 10 years. Please share my comments with the executives.

This is a great store

This is a great store, I shop at the one in Ukiah California. The cashiers are competent. I was at my local food bank one day and noticed that raley’s donated some good food there. This is really great of them.

Disappointed.

Sad! A store that sells higher then other local markets has the worst produce in our entire town. Moldy rotting peppers and others produce. Very sad for some one who charges a premium price! Shelf tags not posted so one even know prices. I will not buy produce from Raley's as long as they can not back their pricing. What happened to a store that used to care about what they sold?

RALEYS IS NOT MY PREFERENCE

OMG! I didn't realize how many people, like me, dislike Raleys. The most expensive stores in the Sacramento valley. I only shop there when there are decent sales. I wish they would just close up and leave. Their flyers are totally unavailable unless you go in to get one. What's with that stupid practice? I guess they don't want the business. Okay, I'll gladly go elsewhere & save a few bucks. One must check their receipts. I've gotten a double charge on a single item and then their stupid coupon discounts aren't factored in, to boot. Those coupons? What a confusing pain in the ass they are. Grocery shopping has become a conflagration at Raleys. Jumping through hoops is NOT a pleasure. Let Winco take over, please!

Online sale is a rip off!

I shop there all the time, but they changed their sale items that you have to go online to receive them. The WiFi in the Napa store never seems to work, the items are hard to find in the app you need to use. I have a card am a constant shopper there and can’t get the good sale price! Am looking across town for a store that really gives the sale prices. It is a rip off!!

High prices. Poor moral.

High prices. Clerks mostly look like they are driven and unhappy by management. You have to bag your own groceries to speed up the process. Prices only go up consistently. Bathrooms always smell like urine.

She made sure she ever grabbed fresh brand new southern Creole potato salad from the back for us. They are both so on point with service and going above and beyond . Being kind , courteous , and extremely helpful . They are the standard at which everyone needs to be operating and interacting with customers.
