No customer service

No customer service. They don’t respond. My bike stopped working and there is no support phone number. Only option is to email them and they send an automated response but no real reply to help. They have a chat option but no one responds. Really sad because I really like the bike when it’s working hope the owners can figure this out. Wish I had done better homework before I bought my Rad Power bike.

This bike was great for the first 4…

This bike was great for the first 4 months. Then i started having battery issues. Their customer support is the worst. It has been 1.5 months and I haven't had any responses to my emails or on their LiveChat via the website. Apparently they are experiencing a high volume of customers contacting them. I purchased a RadRunner Plus on 9/28/22. The battery stopped charging on 7/2/23. I have emailed them three times a week since and have spent countless hours waiting on their LiveChat. I would not buy a Rad bike if I new their support was like this.

Customer Service is not “RAD”

Completely agree w some of the reviews. The bikes are great- if they run… Mine lost all power with less than 50 miles on it and u simply cannot reach anyone with the company for customer support- it is nonexistent. Probably still not a huge deal if you live near a service or brick and mortar store. If not, you are simply on your own. I could not recommend purchasing a bike from them online for this reason. It takes weeks to get a response and the response is not helpful. They do not provide a platform for a dialogue to troubleshoot and correct the problem or atleast guide you in evaluating the issue. Would look at pedego and some of the other brands that support the customers they have

This is bad!

So their bikes may be good but to say that their customer service is bad is an understatement I have a rad mini bike and the magnetic ring / sensor has gone bad and you cannot even contact the company they don't even have a customer service phone number what they do have is email and they also have a 6-hour a day window where you can text back and forth with them the text back and forth service has never worked nobody has ever responded and they just responded to my first email approximately 15 days after I sent it to them and when they sent the email back to me it didn't even address my question and my question still to this day is I need a new magnetic sensor for my bike how do I get one the part is not even listed on the company's website so I have no idea how to get this I would never ever recommend this company or any other company when you can't call and somebody will pick up the phone that is not a good sign and it's a bad business practice!

Two different Rad companies

There are two different Rad Power Bike companies with different customer experiences. One is their brick and mortar stores - which there are only 9 in the US and 1 in Canada. Customers get great customer service and repairs at these stores, and give Rad great online reviews. But if you don't live near a store, you need to purchase online, which is where Rad started as a company. Their online customer service is almost non-existent. It takes weeks just to get a response from them. And they are not helpful at all. And getting parts is a nightmare. Their return policy on accessories is, the customer pays for shipping and a 30% restocking fee. 30%!! I do not recommend Rad Power Bikes.

Outstanding Biking Experience with Rad Power Bikes!

I am a proud owner of both the Rad Runner and the Rad Wagon from Rad Power Bikes. Having logged over 2,600 miles on the Rad Wagon and 1,800 miles on the Rad Runner, I can vouch for their durability and fun factor.

It's hard to go unnoticed when you're on one of these bikes. I constantly receive comments on how "Rad" they are to ride.

The Rad Wagon has become my favorite mode of transportation for family outings. I take my kids just about everywhere on it, much to their delight. The smiles on their faces as we ride around town are priceless.

I've noticed that I've been using my truck much less since I got these bikes. So much so that its battery has died a couple of times from lack of use. When I think about the dollars saved per mile and the gallons of gas that are no longer necessary, these bikes prove to be a smart financial decision.

Rad Power Bikes are not only an eco-friendly and economical transportation alternative but also a source of immense joy for my family and me. I wholeheartedly recommend them for anyone seeking a fun and practical biking experience.

Do not buy from RAD

Like most other reviewers have said, the customer service is horrible. just today alone I have spent more than 4 hours waiting online for someone to pick up the chat. To then have to take videos and pictures all while diagnosing a one week old bike for some replacement parts. And now because I am getting frustrated they are threatening to remove any and all warranty for my bike. What a great company.

Do your self a favor and buy a bike from a local shop, yes it will be more but at least if something goes wrong you will be able to get it fixed.

Never again Rad

I bought 2 identical bikes from Rad 2 years ago. Never have the bikes worked at the same time. You can be miles from home and the bike just quits working. Customer service acted like I was an e-bike mechanic, just anxious to spend days diagnosing and working on my bikes. I would sell them but I'd feel guilty unless the purchaser was an electrical engineer. This is not what I had in mind when I bought the bikes. Never again Rad Power.

Customer service is horrible!!!

I bought a Rad Rover6 plus with 2 racks etc. $3000.00 on line from Vancouver in early
spring of 2022 and put 337km on it . Took it out this spring and went to charge the battery but not charging so I sent probably 12 or so e-mails with requested video's and photo's . 6 weeks later they tell me my battery needs to be replaced ,warranty is over and they offered $160 off a $700.00 plus tax battery. Like I'm giving them another penny, was just waiting for them to tell me their not paying so I can open the battery and check it myself. Found a burnt fuse replaced it and works fine now . Took me 25 minutes to repair it ,how many people get ripped off because of a 10 amp auto fuse .They don't all have a fuse so I'm lucky. Very stressful waiting for a response for so long and not getting anywhere!
Never again spend money like that on line unless there's a store I can go to for service.

This is a horrible horrible company

This is a horrible horrible company. They lie on their website and then once you give them your credit card information they refuse to speak to you. Their phone line doesn’t work and they do not respond to emails. Even after contacting my credit card company, they continuously harassed me by sending items that were part of a canceled order that were essentially small pieces of a bike that they had already refunded. The anxiety and stress that this company brought into my life is unbelievable. I have never had such a horrible experience and they do not care at all. The products they sent in my cancelled order were low quality crap that I did not want and will never use. I paid at my own expense to send it back. I am certain that anything you buy from this company will have issues and you will have no way to resolve it and you will never get to speak to a person. I am going to write reviews everywhere I can to try to warn others never never buy anything from this horrible company!!!

I would put a zero if I could

I would put a zero if I could. Horrible customer service. Bike started moving on it's own with no throttle or pedal assist. wrote e-mails to service center for two weeks without a reply. then got on line. they only work 6 hours a day from 9 am PST to 3PM PST. They make you check every connection to see if damage, You tell them no damage and they never reply again. I swear they have only 2 service reps for the whole USA. They don't have the parts needed to repair it and I waisted two weeks to only go to one of their designated repair shops. Be careful.

Where is the customer service???????

Paid for brand new bike but received a defected bike! They sent me a battery which fixed the problem but I am still waiting for the items that were supposed to be delivered weeks ago! No one replies to emails or answer their advertised phone line!! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS BIG TIME! THIS IS RE: Order 30-137103

The bike was great until it wasn’t

The bike was great until it wasn’t. There is not such thing as service from Rad Power. I bought a Rad Rover 6 Plus last year, and have ridden it lightly. While putting it away one day I noticed it wouldn’t roll backward. Opened a ticket on 5/28. They waited 5 days before responding via e-mail, then closed the ticket as resolved a few days later (one way to close tickets fast and improve the service metrics). My bike started rolling backward when I tried to videotape the diagnostics they requested before closing the ticket, so I began riding again. It then stranded me miles from home. Wouldn’t roll backward, and I now noticed that even thought the battery was charged it wouldn’t power the motor. Did the diagnostics originally requested and opened a new ticket on 6/26. it is now 7/6 and no e-mail reply, evidently there will never be a human or a returned call, and my bike is useless to me. I’ve tried calling their local “service partner” Velofix, who report that there is nothing they can do for me because they will have to get the parts from Rad. A bike that used to work is of no use to me. I need service, and these guys are evidently not interested in anything beyond selling bikes. I still get email from them trying to sell me more bikes and accessories. I understand that businesses can get busy, but this thing has been broken for 5 or 6 weeks and there is zero indication that anyone at Rad cares, and their service partners evidently don’t either. I’ve spent hours trying to get help.

"Support" is non-existent. Probably a foreign company.

They don't have a phone number, only a chat the never seems to connect and agents that don't know what's going on, don't care and would just send me useless articles from the help center...

The battery refused to charge after only a few weeks of use.
There is NO REDRESS. All it would take is for them to send me a new battery, but I can see that isn't going to happen, since their "support" team has not even responded to my email of June 18- two weeks ago.
These people are pathetic.

Terrible service, sent me a bike returned by someone else, not two weeks using it, the left brakes started being noisy making a ticking noise every time they were pressed.
There customer service is one of the worst I've dealt with in my entire life. They kept saying it's normal and that the noise would subside but it never did. They don't have a phone number, only a chat the never seems to connect and agents that don't know what's going on, don't care and would just send me useless articles from the help center...

No customer support

Ordered two Radrover 6 Plus bikes. They came quickly and at a fair price. Assembly was fairly straight forward. Bikes are quality construction. Problem is customer service. It does not really exist. One bike came with wrong battery key. Took four business days to get a response from company and then they said keys were on back order (supply chain issues) with not idea when they would be available. Suggested I find my own solution. I found another supplier for the key with no supply chain issues. This was a clear warranty issue and they made no effort. If you buy from them be aware that you will have no support from this company.

Ordered a spare part for my bike…POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Ordered a spare part for my bike on-line but got my confermation so I e-mailed them to see if the order was indeed placed. Took over 2 business days to received a reply. This Company has falled a great deal since I last did business with them over 2 years ago. If you have a majot problem with one of their bikes you'll probally be looking at a Long and Frustrating journey

Rad is no longer "rad"

I have been a long time Rad Power Bikes fan. Unfortunately, with the recent changes and lay-offs their after-purchase service has gone downhill. It's impossible to get a hold of service help over the phone or through email and, unfortunately, service at the SLC shop isn't that great either. When I couldn't get help by phone or email, I finally resorted to contacting the SLC store since I live an hour away. Several days ago, I called them describing an issue I'm having with the battery terminal of our Radmission. Max, the person I spoke with was very kind and helpful. He checked if the item was in stock and said to bring it in any time and they could change it out immediately since it was a pretty quick fix. He even suggested I ask for him and he could help me.

This morning I took off a half day of work to drive up to their store in the pouring rain bringing the bike with me. The service employee I spoke with rolled his eyes when I mentioned what Max had told me and said that it would take at least three days to get it fixed. He said they had limited walk-in appointments. I was there right at 10am when they opened so I don't know how their walk-in appointments were already filled. I'm assuming they're just slammed right now and he didn't want to assist me when someone else had given me information he thought was wrong. He didn't offer any other options and I had to suggest myself that they just sell me the part so I could change it in order to avoid another trip to their store and another half day off work. When I mentioned the challenges I had getting this issue resolved and now the current miscommunication, his answer was pretty much ... "not my problem."

Since I live an hour drive away, I would have happily made an appointment. I also could have driven up in a car that would have taken half the gas to pick up the part if they hadn't already told me they would swap out the part for me. Because of this and other service and quality issues I am hearing about from other Rad Power Bikes owners, I cannot recommend anyone buy a Rad bike right now, especially the newer models. There are just too many problems with the quality of the bikes, recalls on parts, and issues with getting service. I was prepared to just consider some of these things as growing pains and holdovers from supply chain issues with Covid but the quality of the customer service, even in person, is very telling that Rad isn't the company it used to be.
