Came down for a birthday weekend and it did not disappoint! Originally booked puffin 21 but got asked to change to the one next door ( swallow 20) and was offered a late check out which was really kind .Amy is a great host with very effective communication , one of my favourite parts was the guidebook of the lodges and all the information within the email , we used that to book activities and restaurants. Our lodge was so beautiful, with lots of space and utilities and a gorgeous view of the lake ,it was so relaxing and felt very luxurious . We would definitely come back !

Fabulous 75th birthday celebration weekend with children and grandchildren - age range 75 down to 2 years. It was beautifully equipped with everything you need with so much space it was hard to believe there were 12 of us. The amazing facilities at this lodge meant that everyone was able to participate in something they loved. At any one time there were people swimming, sharing the hot tub, plsying table tennis or pool, singing karaoke, having foot massage - it was wonderful creating very special memories. So special that after talking about it I now have three friends wanting to stay. Can’t wait to go again.

If I could give 4.5 stars I would! Herons 200 is a fab house if in need of a lick of paint and a really good clean. However, these small things did not stop us having a really super time. We were celebrating a family Birthday and the space and house amenities were superb. We had a wonderful stay. Small niggles were quickly dealt with by Amy and her team and we wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend!

My family and I spent a week in skylark at the Ratallack resort. We had a fabulous time. The skylark lodge was superb. Clean, fresh, spacious with so many household items, we didn’t need anything other than food and drink. The hot tub was a welcome treat and this property is one of the few that’s not overlooked and has a great outlook onto a pond. I felt this was the best lodge location on the site. Amy, the owner was so helpful and kind before, during and after our stay. This made our holiday even more relaxing and I would recommend queenwood holidays to anyone.

We absolutely love staying with Queenwood holidays! We have stayed with them 2 or 3 times a year for the past few years and wouldn’t want to book with anyone else in Cornwall! We stayed in lakeside 110 for our week away in September! House is gorgeous, particularly noting the expansive downstairs balcony and the upstairs living space! Nothing short of luxury! As always, Amy left us a beautiful cream tea which was delicious and posh tea bags which are my husbands favourite! Amy also facilitated an early check in which id always so appreciated when you are travelling 5-6 hours with a toddler and dog! Amy is always extremely helpful and attentive if there is ever anything that is needed! Like a home away from home with added luxuries! We would love to come and stay with you again next year!

NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE
We booked a special holiday to bring some joy to three members of our extended family that have varying degrees of mental and physical disabilities.
The holiday was booked, payed for and confirmed and the boys were beyond excited.
A week before the vacation, Queenwood Holidays cancelled our booking due to a complication with one of the boys. Even when we explained that we still wanted to take our holiday even though it would be without that person, they went ahead and cancelled it anyway.
Can you imagine having to tell the family that their holiday has been cancelled at the last minute? It was so traumatic and upsetting.
We then had to go through a complete nightmare in order to try and get our money back. Our emails were ignored and when we finally got a response they denied they had received payments from us. We had to send them all the confirmation details and bank statements and even then they were making things difficult. In the end , they payed some of the money but insisted it was payed to a family member who had nothing to do with the holiday... absolutely bizarre!!!
I would strongly suggest to anyone who is thinking of booking a holiday with this lot to think very carefully about what you are entering into. Check their website, especially the small print. As far as I'm aware, they are not members of any official organisation such as the British Holiday & Home Parks Association so you really are on your own if you experience something similar to us or some of the other reviewers on Trustpilot.
In the meantime, all we can do is make sure that we inform as many people as possible about our experience by using social media platforms such as Trip Advisor and Google Reviews, etc.

10/10 in every way. From the minute we arrived until we left everything was perfect. Super clean and tidy, the biggest comfiest bed, everything has been thought of. Everything in the kitchen you could think of. Welcome gifts including shampoo, conditioners, tea, hot chocolate, scones, jam, cream, milk, all the little touches that make it extra special. The hot tub was lovely after a busy day exploring. The location is great for days out to Lands end, St Ives, Newquay, Port Isaac and many more. Amy's communication was great, quick replies and lots of recommendations for restaurants and days out. We will 100% recommend Amy's place to friends and family and would love to come back.

Avoid at All Costs – This Is NOT a Luxury Lodge

Do not be misled by the listing – this is far from a luxury lodge. I’ve stayed in basic caravans at Haven that were cleaner and better maintained than this place. Please read all the reviews before booking — I wish I had.

From the very beginning, communication was awful. We never received a welcome email with instructions on how to enter the property, which left us fearing we had been scammed. Despite several attempts to contact the host (Amy), we received no response. It turns out this has happened to others as well — check other reviews and you'll see this isn’t an isolated issue.

The issues during our stay were numerous and unacceptable:

Hygiene: My daughter’s pillowcase came off to reveal a filthy, stained pillow with brown/orange marks. There was no pillow protector. It was honestly disgusting — I wouldn’t let a dog sleep on it. When reported, the host brushed it off as a "cleaning error."

Cleanliness: The toilet seat was stained yellow with urine, bathroom cabinets were dirty, and the shower hose was leaking (making it impossible to get proper pressure). I was told it just needed "tightening" — but surely a cleaner would have noticed this?

Kitchen: Work surfaces were glued together, cutlery had dried food on it, the kettle lid was broken, and the microwave was not clean to a high standard.

General condition: Tablecloth was ripped and covered in food residue from previous guests, curtains in the living room were badly stained, the pizza oven was rusty and dumped in the garden, and the sofa smelled strongly of damp dog.

I could go on, but you get the idea.

My advice: do not waste your money here. If you're looking at staying in this area, book directly through Retallack Resort — their accommodation is genuinely immaculate and well maintained.

Please learn from our mistake and take the time to read all reviews on other sites before booking this place.

We have stayed at Retallack a few times but this was first year with Queenwood. Everything was great. This was a 4 family holiday and had adjacent lodges (106b and 107) so our daughter’s family had separate accommodation to give her some quiet space for their 6 month baby. I originally booked 110 but when I spoke to Amy she very kindly rearrange the booking to put us in adjacent properties which worked out perfectly.

We cannot fault the accommodation. Both lodges were clean, comfortable, very spacious, great en-suite showers and bathroom. Big outdoor dining table (107) overlooking the water with ducks and geese. 106b (2 bed lodge) looked newly decorated with some lovely calm design features.

Overall more than pleased and will use Queenwood next time we come to Retallack

We recently returned from another fantastic stay at Fistral 108 one of Amy’s lake houses in a great location to explore Cornwall. We made full use of the restaurant, shop and facilities all on site and within walking distance of the lake house.
Very impressed with the accommodation, amount of space both upstairs and down, cleanliness, welcome gift and relaxing hot tub.
Lovely evenings sat on the balcony situated above the spacious decking over the water watching the ducks and geese swim by.
Lots of places onsite to walk our dog and looking forward to returning.

Had a lovely stay at Rock pool lodge, it’s a stunning lodge has everything you need while you are staying there. Beds was very comfy, 3 baths all showers was fab one bathroom had a fab deep bath, lovely spacious out door area with hot tub which we did use a few times. Would definitely recommend staying here. Will definitely return in the future.
Used the spa on sight too definitely recommend that also

Dissapointing experience from start to end!

Absolutely amazing place and Amy was so helpful. Everything is better than expected and we had a brilliant holiday with no issues whatsoever.

A great time spent at Retallack in Trevone Lodge. Great accessibility to all of the site facilities. Easy check in /out and Amy was available and quick to answer any questions.really helpful. Rooms are a lovely size and the kitchen leads to a lovely decking area. The hot tub was ready to go! Would highly recommend and would definitely make a return visit

Skylark is in a great location on Retallack resort, nice out look over a large pond and not overlooked like many other properties on the site, easy walking distance to all amenities.
The property is very spacious inside and good out door area with hot tub. Pool table is a nice touch for kids.
Having a bathroom and bedrooms on both floors makes it ideal for two families.
The property is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and plenty of glasses, plates and cutlery ect ...
We did suffer from some lack of communication from the owner and a misunderstanding over the price which caused unnecessary stress before travelling, this was resolved but I feel could of been avoided.
The property could benefit from some TLC and the hot tub needs some attention but on the whole it is well maintained.
Minor cons were there wasn't any bins upstairs, very limited drying space for clothes and only one bedroom had a roller blind which me Ade a difference in the mornings keeping the rooms dark, but this didn't affect us having a great holiday.
Retallack is also in a great spot to explore lots of Cornwall, with any beaches and towns with in an easy 30 minute drive.

Stayed at the Retallack resort in Puffin during the Easter holidays. The lodge itself was beautiful, very clean and nice little extra touches like cream tea left for us was really appreciated! The set up of two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs suited us perfectly as two family’s staying together.
Also loved the enclosed deck area as children could play safely outside.
Only one minor issue with the washing machine which Amy sorted quickly for us. Will 100% be returning and will not hesitate to book through Queenwood holidays.

What a fantastic house! 12 of us have just spent Easter here including grandchildren and dogs. We’ve just had the best time. The pool and hot tub are brilliant. The garden is amazing. The house is spotlessly clean and so spacious. So peaceful at night as well. We will definitely return here !

The home was nice and big it was nicely equipped and very nicely decorated I love the view it was easy to find the lodge . I will be back again soon
