We just returned from an 8-day Galapagos adventure aboard the MV Evolution. It was, without question, the most incredible, once in a lifetime experience that everyone should put on their bucket list. The Galapagos National Park and the ability to be so up close and personal with so many amazing species of animals is the true star of the show, but Quasar is the host that makes it happen. From the stellar crew to the park ranger guides, no detail of the trip or daily itineraries were left to chance. The staff was professional, courteous, responsive, friendly, and absolutely everything you would want them to be. The food was delicious, satisfying without being overly heavy, and more than plentiful! The cabins were clean and comfortable as were all the areas of the ship. All of the equipment provided was clean and in excellent working order and any issues that did arise were fixed immediately. To say we were satisfied would be an understatement...just an incredible vacation with Quasar Expeditions as a fantastic host!

The was one of the best trips I have ever taken. From the organization, information, logistics, crew, facilities....can not say enough about the experience.

The cruise is great. I had so much great experience and this one is one of my favorite though. I could never forget the moment. It's really comfortable and really exclusive though.

We spent 3 days in Quito first; Gloria was an excellent guide! She went out of her way to make sure our experience was exceptional. Our hotels were pretty awesome, too, and I would stay there again, both Patio Andaluz in town and the Eurobuilding by the airport.

I am also very impressed by Ecuador and its people. Everyone was so friendly, and their commitment to reusing/reducing/recycling is commendable.

I can’t imagine not having Cristina and Bolo as our guides on the Evolution. They really made our experience unforgettable, taking pictures for us and capturing the best angles and wildlife in the photos. And the chefs, David and Juan Carlos, put on spectacular meals. Kevin was awesome as our bartender. Victor, the captain, and Ellie, the cruise director were also the best! Everyone was so personable and entertained us as well as served us. The ship is very clean and comfortable, and the behind the scenes staff who cleaned and maintained our cabin were virtually invisible, but their service was obvious and impeccable.

The reason to go of course, is to experience the wildlife. On the hikes, we were able to get very close, though we maintained a respectful 6 foot distance, from sea lions, numerous bird species, tortoises, iguanas, and crabs. Snorkeling and panga (dinghy) rides gave us close up views of hammerhead sharks, whitetip reef sharks, rays, sea turtles, and more. I can’t say enough about this cruise!!!!

We had an amazing time with Quasar expeditions. The crew on our boat were phenomenal, the naturalists were highly informed and gregarious, the food was delicious, and all of our excursions each day were interesting and breath-taking. We would definitely travel with Quasar again.

We have just returned from a Jeep Overland Safari to Patagonia in Chile and Argentina organized by Quasar Expeditions. We did the self guided trip as we wanted the independence, but Quasar took away all the worry of the logistics which left us free to really enjoy ourselves. They thought of everything, from safety equipment such as a satellite phone for emergencies to cooler bags stocked with goodies. All hotels, tickets for national parks and excursions, border crossing documents to airport transfers were taken care of. Memorable excursions included a great day at an Estancia, where we went horseback riding to ice trekking on the Perito Moreno glacier in Argentina. We also did a pre-trip add on to the Atacama Desert which was a wonderful start to a magical trip. All the Quasar staff we came into contact with were wonderful, including the staff who we organized the trip with, a big shout out to Tasha Williams who helped create our trip. It is all very customized and Tasha was always available to answer our questions. I would highly recommend using Quasar and I am sure my husband and I will be reminiscing about this holiday for a long time to come.

We loved Quasar! Diane and Paul in the US were awesome and so helpful and patient with all of our questions. The boat, staff and guides in the Galapagos were super! We would use Quasar again!

Having only a week for visiting Patagonia Quasar did a wonderful job. Perfectly organized program and an outstanding guide. Very good information Before the trip. The only stressful situation was tight time Schedule for the flights to Patagonia due to change in flight Schedule by the airline Company. Quasar Expeditions is highly recommended

Diane was very knowledgeable about Ecuador and The Galapagos, very responsive, and very thoughtful about tailoring the itinerary to the specific needs of our family of 4. The reservations process were a breeze, and Diane did her best to give us best pricing. The Galapagos is not a typical holiday and she was able to address the many questions we had and gave great advice on the choice of cruise vessel, type of cabins, what to expect, what to bring, etc. Quasar also made the land arrangements in Quito, which deserves at least a couple of days, and her suggested hotels and excursions were perfect fits for us.

We had a wonderful time, partly thanks to Diane, partly thanks to The Evolution, it’s crew and naturalists, and particularly the wonder that is The Galapagos.

From planning and booking the trip with Diane, to being on the Grace for a week, everyone was very professional, helpful, & accommodating. First class service. Quasar and the staff of the M/Y Grace made a trip of a life time even more exceptional. I would highly recommend them. The food and service on board was exceptional

M/Y Grace was a small group cruise that proved to be outstanding with the knowledge of the two guides, the professionalism of the crew and truly comfortable accommodations.

This was the trip of a lifetime! Diane in booking was most helpful and the trip exceeded our expectations period from the staff, to the excursions, to the naturalists, and the boat itself. Just unbelievable. The food was great and we couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

I can not recommend Quasar Expeditions enough. The itinerary truly optimized our time in the Galapagos. From day one they were detail oriented and highly organized, yet flexible at the same time; allowing us to fully enjoy the spontaneity of nature without skipping a beat. Would definitely travel with them again! Shout out to our nature guides, Sam and Carolina! So knowledgeable and fun :)

Sometimes in life it’s very simple: if you’re going to the Galapagos and you can afford to do it in style, there is no other boat you should pick then the Grace. Having seen many of the other boats around the archipelago, there is no arguing that this is the most stylish, beautiful ship among them.

But that’s only the hardware. The software – the crew, the service, the food and the overall experience – is not only impeccable but absolutely delightful. With only 18 guests onboard and 14 crew to man the ship and attend to your every whim, we had the best week of our life. From Captain to Cabin Boy to Naturalists – everyone was a delight to have around. The culinary creations by Chef David and his team of three were superb throughout the week and if our kids (8 and 10 years old) felt like hamburger and chips for a change it was done with a smile and a laugh.

There is thus no doubt in my mind that the Grace was the best choice we’ve ever made and I see no argument in favor of a bigger ship. Maybe they are a bit more stable in rough seas, but if you’re prone to seasickness you’ll probably also get seasick on a bigger ship. A smaller ship allows more flexibility (the motto of the Grace), less time wasted getting on and off the pangas and overall a much more personal experience.

A top notch cruise. The quality of the services vastly exceeded our expectations in every dimension: a superb yacht with character (The Evolution), outstanding and most friendly service from every member of the crew, delicious food, fantastic guides (very knowledgeable and very nice). All in all, Quasar converted our visit to Galapagos into a most memorable, once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommended.

Janice Samter - The trip itinerery was compact, saw many birds, lizards, sea lions. Many events were available as alternates to snorkling or swimming. Tour schedules were always on time. Naturalists were extremely knowledgable and always at hand.The only dissapointment was the food. There were always many choices but I found most items needing help.
