Extremely poor service

I wish there are any possible negative rating as well, i have ordered by RO system water filters on 31st Jan and paid for mail delivery as well, Quality home product sent them on 6th Feb and they have sent it to wrong address and now the package is stuck at USPS and Quality products team asking me to follow up with USPS , when i checked with them they said sender will need to intercept the package and that has additional cost as well. I tried to reach out to quality team but the response i am getting is dispatch manager would need to check that and they disconnect the call, i have been trying to reach out manager since last 1 week and still no response its more than 3 weeks after paying delivery and still there is no movement in delivery of the product, pathetic service i will never recommend this company to any of my friends and family and in turn their friends and families too!! total waste of time and money!!

SOLAR - sold it to me - now not selling.??

A representative of Quality sold me a Solar System which they had advertising for on their site. Now, there is no Solar shown on their site and I haven't been able to get in touch with the Sales rep. The system does not provide anywhere near what they professed that it would and I'm thinking there's something wrong with this company.

Maintenance denied

I had my generator installed over a year ago by a local electrician. We had to submit a diagram to Centerpoint and my HOA for approval prior to installation. Quality Home Products told me they would not provide service or maintenance to my generator because it's not within firecode. Why would Centerpoint, my electrician and the HOA all approve of the installation if it's not within firecode? I've since received a few phone calls from them following up, after they told ME no. Not great customer service!

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!

We signed a contract and put down a deposit on a 20k kohler generator in September of 2024. We were strung along for 9 months before they reached out 1 day before our installation date to cancel, stating they couldn’t communicate with our sales rep and canceled our install. We reached out to the sales rep who wanted more money if we were going to proceed. After some research come to find out this business has 53 complaints of the same behavior over the last 3 years with the Better Business Bureau therefore we decided not to move forward anymore. After asking for a refund on our deposit this company has completely ghosted us. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Bait and switch sales

Bait and switch sales. I was offered an in home demonstration of a water filtration system, which sounded good. What was installed was a water softener, which only adds salt to the water. Not only is the water undrinkable, but it is toxic to pets and plants. Bathing in it felt disgusting. After a few months and having the system malfunction, I turned it off. I have offered to practically GIVE it away on Facebook, but no one wants it. I was shown and verbally sold a filtration system, but what the salesperson had me sign was totally different. Now I am out thousand of dollars and I want this POS off of my property. If the company wants it back, they can come get it.

Quality Home Products and service rep Gage

From the meeting with the sales representative, to the installation and twice a year inspections, we have been very pleased with Quality Home Products. Today Gage serviced our generator. He called on his way to let me know when he would arrive. After he checked our generator, he thoroughly discussed his findings with me. He took the time to show me how and when to check the oil if the generator runs for long periods of time. He was so friendly and answered all my questions. I could tell he enjoyed his job!

Sales Fiasco with Generator sales

Had a sales person come by and give us information. Asked him to come again since we were ready to make a decision. Found out that the unit is smaller than what we were quoted by other companies but at a higher price. We asked if we could negotiate and he said no. He then threw a tantrum and walked out of our house. Not very professional and given that we did not say no but wanted to research further since this is an expensive purchase and we want to make sure we are making the right decision. Never had a sales person so unprofessional before. I might have still gone with Quality Home Products in the end but not after this attitude. You need to train your sales people to be more professional. The customer should be given time to make a decision and not hurried.

LOUSY COMMUNICATION

We purchased a generator through Quality Home Products of Texas in September 2023. It worked after the derecho but then after they serviced it days later, it stopped working and hasn't worked since. There have been at least 4 technicians to the house, but every time they either don't have the part or have the wrong part, including today when they had the wrong motor. The technicians can't tell you when they'll be back. You have to wait for the scheduling manager to reach out with a follow up --which never happens. Quality Home Products of Texas does not return phone calls. I have had to call multiple times to even try to get information on my generator getting fixed (e.g. when they were waiting on a part (albeit the wrong part)). Even with the multiple calls, it's rare if I am able to speak with someone. I leave messages and wait days for a return call (if I get one). To be clear, the lack of communication is not limited to times of natural disasters (e.g. the derecho and the hurricane). The technicians try to be helpful but they readily admit that the office does not answer the phone. I had even resorted to trying to reach the CEO via LinkedIn because I could not get ahold of anyone since they had been here on June 19th when the technician knew it was the wrong part. (I finally managed to get someone on the phone last Friday who said that they would be out today. ) The CEO did not respond either!

Further, because it's a warrantied part, I can't get another company to fix it because Quality Home Products had already ordered the part from generac via my warranty (even if it was the wrong one). It may be possible that the company was sent the wrong motor, but there is no way for me to know because they don't answer the phone or call me to give me updates. So frustrating!

I finally filed a complaint today with BBB. It's so disappointing because I had used this company for a generator at our old house and the service was amazing. I'm guessing they just out grew their ability to service what they've sold. The office may be over-loaded, but that hasn't slowed down the sales pitches.

Complete waste of money!!

Complete waste of money!!! This company has more excuses of why they can’t cover issues. Tech showed up in rubber soccer sandals. Did not explain issues to us before going ahead with a repair and then changing their mind that is was not covered under warranty even though we were told over phone not to worry, it was. The yearly maintenance service we paid nearly $600 for was worthless, as they did not catch issues in a timely manner.

Service and follow up after the sale

Our Kohler generator was installed in the fall of 2020. The big freeze that followed in February 2021 put a huge demand here on new generator installations and there may have been some slippage of service due to the sheer volume of activity, thus others may have had less than stellar experiences around this time.

Quality Home Products came out today, saying they were following up on installations done during that period, to make sure we got everything we were promised, had been educated on its operation, and find out if there were any open issues they needed to address. We were fortunate to have been done right before the crunch period so our installation had been excellent.

A short time ago the system was not operating well and we placed a service call. They came out timely and discovered that we had some extensive rodent damage to the wiring inside the generator in several locations. I don't think this is typically covered under any warranty or service contract, but they noted that some plugs in lift holes had not been placed during installation and that was probably where they got in. They owned the problem immediately and did some extensive repairs to cables and wiring harnesses; everything has been operating perfectly since. The techs were very knowledgeable, and explained what was being done throughout the repairs.

As for me, I could not be more happy with our Kohler generator and the service provided by Quality Home Products.

No quality internal work practices.

We ordered a Generac home generator from Quality Home Products in October 2021. Installation work was to begin in April 2022. We thought this was great timing; ahead of our hurricane season. Installation did commence but quickly got caught up in one delay after another. Every time they weren’t able to finish a particular step, instead of scheduling is, as a normal project might, we got relegated to the back of the line to await their next available open date, which resulted in weeks of delay between work steps. Work started in mid/late April 2022 and by mid June(now) we still don’t have a generator. They dug huge holes in the back yard to bore the electric cables and those holes remained open for months. Half the grass in the back yard was covered with the dirt from those holes. The destroyed lawn has not been fixed. After finally installing the unit it failed City code inspection being placed too close to windows. The unit had to be relocated to the middle of the yard …something I would never have agreed to, if I’d known beforehand. They finished installing it in its new location and it took them over a week to “reach out” (their words) to the power company for an upgraded meter. This delay resulted in an additional month before installation as the power company can’t install for another month. Quality home systems could have easily pre-arranged the meter installation but instead waited until their re-installation was complete. I’m sure the reason they didn’t pre-schedule the meter is because they had no confidence in their own ability to meet deadlines.
Poor project management from the beginning. No concept of critical path planning. One step at a time with back-to-the-end of the line priorities in spite of the delays and missteps bring their own.
I would NEVER recommend Quality home products. Their internal work processes and scheduling systems are catch as catch can. I have no idea if I’ll ever have a functioning generator. I’m pretty sure it won’t be in time for this hurricane season. I dread having to rely on them in the future for maintenance!
