qikbay somehow found out I needed help with my printer and posed as my service comany...only one I have is Microsoft and do not know how qikbay found out about the printer. Had me on the phone for ay least an hour and I did give out my phone number and other stuff but NOT bank information. If they are not listed as a scam, they should be right away.
They have always been there for me since I joined Devon
Hanson He helped me sign up to learn the basic of the computer, I appreciated his help so much I haven"t been able to get on my Devoted website & print off my applications He was a doll, I love this program. I used to belong to the Geek Squad. Qikbay is Awsome I will Tell everyone about your company so impressed with it
I HAVE FOUND QIKBAY TO BE A RELIABLE COMPANY WHEN I HAVE COMPUTER ISSUES OR PHONE ISSUES. THEY KNOW HOW TO FIX THE ISSUES WITHOUT CONTINUALLY CHECKING WITH OTHERS OR THEIR MANUALS. THEY ARE PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH AND HAVE A GREAT DEAL OF PATIENCE EVEN WITH BEGINNER COMPUTER OWNERS. THEY DON'T WASTE MY TIME AND THE PROBLEM IS FIXED IN A SHORT TIME.
Victor was very patient with me to use the computer on my side. He did not give up and found the way to connect my printer to the computer. He seemed very knowledgeable. I appreciate his help. Thank you.
My sister in law just had the same experience with this company. Now she is headed to Geek Squad to do an emergency cleaning of her computer and phone. They are definitely a company to be shunned.
I called the number for Mcafee Customer Service. I couldn't get the Firewall to turn on with a Mcafee antivirus I had just bought and downloaded from the Mcafee site on one computer is why I called. The person that answered said the problem was the Firewall isn't included in that Mcafee antivirus I downloaded and said he could make me a great deal on covering two computers that had different email addresses for a much lower cost per year and they would both be covered for 4 years for $379 with free tech support on everything like printers, fax machines, cell phones etc. Plus giving me an almost $400 secure web browser for free. Then he said I can help you install this! Let me have remote access to all of your computers and cell phones and I will uninstall the Mcafee product you just purchased and refund the price you paid for it and install the new version you just purchased. All of this time I'm thinking I am speaking with a real Mcafee Customer Service agent and I wasn't. I was switched to 3 or 4 different people during this phone call and I was on the phone for over 2 1/2 hours. Then the last guy that I was sent to (which now had remote access to all of my computers and cell phones) said you can hang up now and it will take about 45 minutes for me to uninstall your current Mcafee antivirus and install the new Mcafee antivirus you just purchased. Now I feel the scam! I immediately shut everything off and down which severed their remote access and later turned my cell back on. This was all done on a Sunday evening. Shortly after that there were about 15 phone calls to my cell from them which I didn't answer.
Next morning (Monday) I call Mcafee on a different customer service number and get the real Mcafee. She said who I had had been speaking with was not Mcafee at all followed buy that was a scam or you may call it (phishing). She said do not use the browser they offered and wanted to check to see if they had a chance to alter our computers or phones. She looked through everything on 3 computers and fortunately I shut everything down in time. Nothing was changed or uninstalled. I had asked are they affiliated with Mcafee in any way and she said they are not!!!! The odd thing is I called the Mcafee Customer Service number I found on the internet and they also did get into my Mcafee account on the Mcafee website and were trying to uninstall and cancel a current Mcafee antivirus subscription on one of my computers. After the REAL Mcafee representative fixed everything in the computers and did get the previous Mcafee firewall to turn on (which those other guys said wasn't included) I called the number they had given me in case we got disconnected requesting a refund to my credit card. They bounced me around from person to person trying to convince me their deal is so much better even after I told each one of them all computers and cell phones are taking care of and nothing you were trying to sell me was downloaded. Then they said the license is already issued and can't be refunded. After about 20 minutes I said I"M DONE! I then said I will just dispute the charge. Then they finally send me to the refund department. He again tried to keep selling me this crap. Finally he says I will refund the full $379 to the credit card it was charged to and it will take about 15 minutes to do and the refund won't show up on your card for 3 to 5 days. So you can hang up now and I'll call you back in 15 minutes when the refund is complete. There was no call back! I already previously disputed the charge before this call anyway! They are very smooth and convincing.
I had a McAfee subscriptions. Had problems with my computer and I call MacAfee somehow the call was recieved by Qikbay offering me to upgrade which I did. Months later I called MacAfee and they had no knowledge of my purchase and refused to refund my money. I am not sure how Qikbay reps are receiving calls from McAfee customers. I deleted QikBay and McAfee from my computer, purchased a new antivirus protection. Now Qikbay is calling me frequently saying they need to run a check on my computer. I don't trust McAfee or Qikbay. SCAM SCAM SCAM.
I have to get rid of this service immediately.
Recently Sept 2024 I began getting voice messages from Qikbay about my McAfee anti virus subscription... Originally I got my screen blocked on my computer saying my McAfee anti virus subscription was expiring and given the phone number that ended up reaching Qikbay not McAfee ! I thought I was talking to the official McAfee subscription dept. I just got about 10 messages on my cell phone starting in Sept 2024 from acct managers from Marol, & Nathan & from Michael Brandt & Brian Coley, starting at Sept 2024 ! Qikbay about how they are able to surveillance my computer and My McAfee Software is expired and I was at risk. If that is true (since they gave me a subscription for 6 years and was not to expire till Nov 2029 years of McAfee and told me I would be charged i think it was $ 379 & did not get my card to refund my money I originally tried to cancel and they told me I had to accept we had no dispute and they would give me $100 back but I changed my mind once I realized they were not actually McAfee). I erased all the programs that they put on my computer once I realized they were not from official McAfee. I checked with McAfee web site after they did work on my computer and no membership was recorded on McAfee's site... I then called McAfee to find out they are a 3rd party distributor not McAfee! My original McAfee was thru Membership through AOL> The person who I spoke with Nathan from Qikbay said AOL would not be able to provide it free anymore and I would have to buy i monthly etc, They also said the version on my computer was from 2016 and would not protect me from newer viruses etc. Now they are calling me to report their surveillance my computer is at risk because the McAfee is not protecting it anymore. ( I was resetting up McAfee for new subscription from AOL )So beware this is a fraud group...Other companies outside the US are not required to abide by our laws so we have no protection. I tried to get Citi Bank to refund my purchase after I removed the McAfee from Qikbay and they believed Qikbay was a legit company and would not refund my payment. So now I have paid twice for McAfee one from Aol and cannot get a refund from Qikbay! So beware this is not an official version of McAfee but a 3rd party distributor. They are trying to get me to subscribe and use their McAfee when I spoke to representative today will not refund my payment even though I removed their version of McAfee ((supposedly a 6 year subscription )immediately last year as since they lied to me I cannot trust them. . Warning stay away!
I received an email from what I thought was McAfee. I called the number and the customer service said they were McAfee and they were taking $899.99 dollars out of my checking account for a renewal fee. The lady I spoke with said she worked for McAfee for over 15 years and she had ALL of my information from when I had McAfee four years ago. She convinced me that if I didn't paid $379.00 she offered me, they would take out the original amount quoted in the email within a couple of days. I asked to speak to another person, manager, someone in charge. The new person offered me the lowest deal $279.00 and free year of Quikbay tech assisant. It would cover three electronics in my home. I was sobbing and telling them I am a senior citizen and didn't have that kind of money laying around. They didn't care. Very unkind and pushy. I crumbled under the pressure since they had my banking account information. They took over my computer and cellphone. To make a long story short. I finally got in touch with the real McAfee company and just like the rest of the reviewers, QIKBAY(Jini are scammers and a third party not affilated with McAfee. Somehow, I feel McAfee is assoicated with them. McAfee was going to refund the $279.00 then backed out. After several phone calls to QIKBAY, they agreed to refund the money. I am still waiting on the refund but I am scared if the refund hits my account it might not be legit. PLEASE DON'T DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE RUDE AND LIARS. McAfee assured me I didn't have a renewal fee and would never charge any customer that much money however they did try to offer me a subsciption which I declined. If I can be scammed. anyone can be! Lesson learned! My credit union was going to investigate them for fraud but I cancelled it until I get my refund. If I don't receive it then my credit union is going ahead with the investigation and so is my local police station who just solved a scam operation in our area. One of their main offices are in California. They are a foreign company. Not from the United States. QIKBAY is know as JINIGRAM LLC located in San Mateo, California. I will let the others know if I receive my refund or not.
I CALLED WHAT I THOUGHT WAS MCAFEE AND GIT THIS COMPANY. tHEY INSISTED THAT THEY WORKED WITH MCAFEE AND EVEN SHOWED RECORDS OF MY SUBSCRITPTION TO PROIVE THEY WERE LEGIT. I CONTACTED MCAFEE VIA THEIR WEB SITE AND THEY SAIUD THEY WERE NOT AFFLICATED WITH JINIGRAM. TOTAL RIP OFF.
i called mcafee support and somehow endup with this screwup firm. i was having computer problems and after i hung up the phone i looked up this company i have been shaken to the core. they had access to my computer and i wonder what else they may have stolen. i have checked all their reviews and the firm does seem to be legit as they have tried to charge me $400. they have their fake Browsers and software that i don't think ever works.
