Complete shambles.

I ordered a portrait back in February. After the package arriving late and going to the incorrect address it finally came. Only to be printed in landscape with half of the dogs head cut off. The ‘preview’ I received for approval was in portrait. I’ve had no response so far, but an extremely frustrating experience to give a gift to someone.

Everything was perfect

Everything was perfect ! They really took care of showing up the final result and delivery was fast. The quality of the product it’s very good !

If only I could have given 0 stars!

I ordered 2 portraits for my wife’s birthday, thinking that over 2 weeks would be enough. After a few days, received an email to upload another photo, which was done. Nothing heard so I chased and confirmed that it was becoming urgent. Received an email that preview would not be available until almost 2 weeks after additional photos sent. I chased again to say that urgent and to cancel if couldn’t complete within their own time frames. No explanation received but they decided to cancel and refund 2 days before the item was needed.
Went somewhere else and experience has been completely different, preview was within 2 days and order despatched within 4.
Avoid Purr and Mutt, if you have any need for the items by a certain date.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations, especially as the portraits were intended for a birthday.

To clarify, our standard process is to send artwork previews within 5 working days of receiving suitable photos, not two weeks. We also do not cancel orders apart from in certain circumstances and only at the customer request. From what you’ve described, it sounds like there may have been a misunderstanding or a communication issue somewhere along the way.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to locate your order from the information visible on Trustpilot, so we can’t review exactly what happened in this case. This certainly isn’t the level of service we aim to provide or what most customers experience.

If you’re willing to contact us directly with your order number or the email used to place the order, we’ll investigate properly and do everything we can to make this right.

Very disappointed with the service & result

You didn’t show me the preview. You didn’t send me the digital copy until I emailed you (it didn’t go to junk or spam because I always check my junk emails everyday). Because you didn’t show me the preview, the photo’s background is too dark (my dog is black), too closed up so my dog front feet is cut. Very disappointed. Also, the digital copy is a squared photo, not a rectangular one so that it’s not good when I put it in my mobile phone.
I did order 2 times with you before. Both of them were very good, but it’s not this time.

Thank you for leaving this review, and I’m really sorry this order didn’t feel right, especially as you’ve had good experiences with us before.

Just to clear a few things up:

We always send a preview for our orders unless the product shows a live preview on the product page at the time of purchase. In those cases, the artwork shown there is what’s used for the final piece.

The issue you mentioned about the image being too dark sounds more like a printing problem rather than the artwork itself. If that’s the case, we’d be more than happy to fix it and arrange a reprint for you.

Digital copies are sent automatically to the email address used at checkout. Occasionally they can be filtered by email providers, but if one is ever missed we’re always happy to resend it.

The digital file is supplied in the same proportions as the print you ordered (16x20 inches). Phone screens tend to be a different shape, so they don’t always display print-sized images perfectly. If you’d like a version sized specifically for your phone, we can absolutely do that for you.

Extra cost to make changes

Nice portrait but misleading information on the website,hidden cost to make changes, lack of communication and terrible customer service.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you like the portrait, but we’re sorry to hear you felt the process wasn’t clear.

To clarify, we offer free unlimited changes to your portrait during the preview stage so customers can request as many adjustments as needed before approval. The only time a charge applies is if the original photo is changed, as this requires the artwork to be restarted from scratch rather than edited.

Such a gorgeous portrait of our boy

Tragically we lost our fluffy boy Simba Christmas Eve.
When on simba’s cat insurance app. I found purr & mutt listed.
So I had a look. The portraits were amazing. I wanted a normal watercolour portrait of our boy.

The process has been smooth & easy. From start to finish.
The finished product is amazing. It’s better than expected.
Simba’s portrait is proudly sitting next to his ashes on the shelf.

Unacceptable amount of spam post purchase

Product is absolutely fine but the relentless bombardment to leave a review is totally unacceptable. I will never shop with them again, I must have had at least 10 emails for reviews!

There was no preview available at the time of purchase, I was unable to edit or even view the project UNLESS I paid an additional fee for a digital copy. There was no choice for delivery method AND the estimated shipping date was not provided. I have email with a link to track shipping BUT no shipping # provided. This has taken way too long to receive

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I want to clarify a few points, as there seems to be some misunderstanding about how our process works.

We do not provide previews at the point of purchase. Every portrait is custom-made by one of our team after an order is placed, which is why previews are sent after purchase, usually within 5 working days.

We always use the fastest delivery service available to us as standard, and shipping is free. During the Christmas period, couriers experience significantly higher volumes, which unfortunately leads to delays that are outside our control.

We’re sorry the delivery took longer than expected. Christmas is our busiest time of year, and while we work hard to get orders out as quickly as possible, seasonal courier delays can and do happen.
