We worked with Pro-Dev and Sam Kumar Sundarraj over a period of approximately four years. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations.
Throughout the engagement, Pro-Dev introduced and directed us to a manufacturing partner that ultimately proved difficult to work with. When product issues arose, we did not receive the level of support or accountability we expected, particularly given Pro-Dev’s involvement in both the design and manufacturing relationship.
As the relationship progressed, we found that continuing access to critical project information and support appeared to be closely tied to ongoing fees. When we attempted to step away, we were left in a position where we had to reinvest significant capital into new tooling and identify alternative manufacturing partners in order to move forward.
This outcome has required substantial additional time, cost, and effort on our end. It is disappointing, especially given the level of trust and investment we placed in the relationship over several years.
We hope this feedback is helpful for others evaluating long-term development and manufacturing partnerships, particularly where dependencies between design firms and manufacturers are involved
