All you have to do is look at the IG profiles of the guys running these competitions to know it’s a load of baloney. Good on them for not getting caught doing some that’s pretty blatantly unlawful - UK laws are a joke for letting this continue. Hope the MMA guy gets KOd and they lose the money that they’ve pocketed.

It makes no sense each competition they stand to lose thousands of dollars 🤣 can’t be running these comps for poor brits out of the kindness of their hearts

I recently took part in a raffle-style competition on this platform, and I’m pleased to say the experience exceeded my expectations. I have growing concerns about the way Private Dial runs its competitions. I follow a lot of these competition-style sites, so I am familiar with how ticket sales usually progress. What I saw during one of their recent draws for the Breitling Chronomat x Royal Air Force Red Arrows Edition felt highly unusual.

With around 30 minutes left the competition was showing 487 / 999 tickets sold. That's less than half. When the competition closed, it suddenly showed 721 / 999 tickets sold. An increase of over 230 tickets in such a short time frame felt extremely unlikely and it's hard not to question it.

As a customer, transparency and trust is paramount. At the moment, I'm left feeling uneasy about continuing to use this site. Proceed with caution.

Great competition and great odds!! These guys follow through on their promise of the watch or cash alternative even if they don’t sell enough tickets and are out of pocket.

Out of the first eight competitions, three appear to have been won by the same individual. While repeat wins are possible, it seems unusual in such a small sample and naturally raises questions about how winners are randomly selected.
That same individual has also left a 5-star Trustpilot review. Another reviewer has multiple 5-star reviews claiming wins on several competition platforms when they were relatively new, but none once they became more established. This may simply be coincidence, but it stood out.
One prize handover video also appeared to take place in a public car park, which seemed unusual for a high-value prize. Publicly available information suggests the winner is based in the same area where the company was originally registered and works in a similar telecommunications sector previously associated with the director. Again, this may be coincidence, but it raises reasonable questions about whether winners could have prior connections.
There are also reviews claiming wins from a US-based customer, which appears inconsistent with the stated terms and conditions. Interestingly, a recent draw reportedly produced two winners — including the same US-based reviewer again.
Finally, the draw videos appear to show only a loading page rather than the full entry list or randomisation process, making it difficult to independently verify how winners are selected.
I’m not making any allegations, but clearer transparency around the draw process, winner verification, and randomisation system would help build confidence for participants.

I spent some time looking into Private Dial and, after doing a bit of research, I personally have some concerns about the transparency of how the competitions operate.
One of the first things I noticed is that the company’s registered address (38 Collingwood Street) appears to be shared by hundreds of other companies. While that isn’t necessarily unusual on its own, it did raise questions when combined with the lack of information about how postal entries are processed. I submitted postal entries myself but received no confirmation that they were received or entered into any draw. There also doesn’t appear to be any clear explanation of how postal entries are logged, assigned ticket numbers, or included alongside paid online entries.
Another thing that stood out to me was the pattern of winners. Despite the competitions being relatively new, there appear to be repeat winners already. While this could of course be coincidence, repeat wins in such a small number of draws naturally make people curious about how the randomisation process works and whether the draws are independently verified.
Looking at the Trustpilot reviews, I also noticed some unusual patterns. Some accounts that claim to have won prizes appear to have very limited review history, sometimes reviewing only this company. One reviewer who previously claimed to have won also appears to have been listed again as a “joint winner” in a more recent competition. That same account appears to be based in the United States, despite the competitions seeming to be targeted at UK entrants.
I also noticed that some winners have very little visible online presence confirming their prizes, and there are limited prize handover photos or videos for certain winners across the company’s social media pages.
Finally, the draw videos themselves appear to show very little of the actual selection process. From what I could see, they mainly show a loading screen or splash page rather than the full entry list or the randomisation process used to pick a winner. For competitions where people are paying to enter, it would be reassuring to see a more transparent draw process.
To be clear, there may well be reasonable explanations for all of these points. However, taken together they left me with enough questions that I personally would want clearer transparency before considering entering.
