PrivacyPortal are really very good

PrivacyPortal are really very good. I'm on my 3rd phone from them for my daughter but she allowed the phone to update. Reported the issue to PP and a remote root was booked to fix it. PP connected to my laptop and performed the remote root with me responding on my phone via a discord channel. A lot of work goes into the process and I was very impressed.

PrivacyPortal team rocks!!!

I bought to rooted phones from them back in 2024, and they were working perfectly until recently the phones were not longer good with the software. I opened a ticket on discord and explained my issue, within minutes i had an appointment set up. To conclusion the work this team does is amazing and trust me you will be zombified by the knowledge it brings.

Sound a pound!

Will I receive what I purchased?

Bought £100 of pokecoins and it's been over a month without receiving them. I tried contacting them via discord, email and their website with little to no response or them repeatedly saying they will be done shortly and still the coins never appear.

Its unfortunate because I have bought two rooted phones from them in the past which has all worked out really well!

Awful customer service.

Unfortunately, I can't give them a good rating. They bricked the device and are not answering to the ticket. It looks like a one man company (check their info at gov.uk), so be careful with your money.

This company is great! The prices are good also, I will be coming back!

So many low reviews this company is great I ordered in the 10th December. I got a schedule with the winter shipping expectations in my mailbox. So I expected it to come slightly late. I have the parcel. The condition is great. The discord ticketing system works, I was able to get online and on ingress in 15 mins of opening the phone, thank you PrivacyPortal!

Avoid this company.

They ship products, that don't work. Thet promise to fix them remotely, which they don't. They just waste enough time so that you can't return the product with their return periodi.

They will ask you to buy extra services, don't fall into that trap. Thete are multiple rumours that Niantic and Scopely will issue a Cease and Desist, since they are marketing their product bypassing cheat detection. Then you will be left completely alone with a device, that doesnt work.

Customers have 30 days from the date of receipt to return a device, not from the order date. This is clearly stated in our return policy. In this case, the device has not yet been confirmed as delivered, so claims about faults or missed return windows are inaccurate.

Pokémon GO has worked on our devices for over five years, and Ingress also functions correctly. These phones are configured for experienced users. If a customer is unfamiliar with rooted devices or does not follow usage guidance, issues can occur that are not device faults. We see this most often when devices are purchased by automated accounts or users with no prior experience using this type of phone.

We do not mislead customers, delay support, or force the purchase of additional services. Remote assistance is offered as a free goodwill option, not a requirement.

There is no cease and desist, no confirmed action from Niantic, and no factual basis for that claim.

PrivacyPortal is a small team handling a high volume of orders, particularly around peak periods such as Christmas, and we aim to support all customers fairly and transparently.

We encourage anyone with a genuine issue to contact us directly with their order number so it can be addressed properly.

Took my money and then was ghosted.

Ghosted on multiple occasions
Since the company keeps fighting to remove my reviews. Here’s another one. I’ve had 4 different transactions with them and none have been pleasant. Currently here is the situation. Dec 16 booked a remote session, I claim they bricked my device, they say they didn’t. Didn’t reply for 2.5 weeks leaving me high and dry without an explanation. Jan.2 they refunded me the cost of my phone in the form of in store credit, later on refunded me the cost of the remote session. Ordered a new phone Jan.5 waited and waited for weeks, contacted them asking what is taking and the 5-7 day turn around is actually 10-15. Waited past that date without any status change then complained at the 16 day mark. Then magically at 17 days, order changed to “fulfilled” without any tracking information and no response since then. Complained again and they said that they were sorry that I deserve the tracking and to email their “escalations” email. I do so and email box is full and cannot get through. I’ve been messaging, emailing and posting on all of their forms of contact trying attempt my due diligence. In trying to contact them. They have block me on 2 and counting of their socials.

I just want my phone. I think 2 months without a phone is enough don’t you?

If you can find what your looking for else where, I would do so.

Phone broke within one day and he wanted me to pay?

Hi, 2nd review for this page. After waiting a long time 2-3weeks+ for the phone, it imminently had defects. "No Command" and other issues, I had to go through the phone deleting and keeping useful stuff.

Back to the "No Command", I reached out and he replied saying id have to pay for it to be fixed and send it back. 1) IF I send it back I mostly wont see it for another month. 2) It was first time use and it broke. Again like my first post, Its a money scam. Do not ever buy from this place, not sure how it has good reviews.

Edit: I fixed this myself after a quick 1min YouTube video... Then took me 30s with the phone. He could've sent me a video on how to fix it but instead he wanted more of my time and money.

We dispute the claims made in this review and want to clarify the facts for future customers.

The device was delivered in working condition. The issue described (“No Command”) occurs when a rooted device is modified, partially unrooted, or misused during first setup. These phones are sold pre-configured and tested, but they are intended for users who understand rooted Android environments.

If a customer alters, removes, or interferes with the root setup, this is no longer a fault with the device itself. In those cases, repair or reconfiguration is not covered, and a service fee applies. This is clearly explained prior to purchase.

Returning the device was offered as an option, however shipping times are outside our control. Alternatively, paid support was offered to resolve the issue quickly without delay. This is standard practice for specialist devices.

The customer later confirms that the issue was resolved independently in under a minute, which further indicates the device was not defective. Optional support services exist for customers who want assistance; they are not mandatory.

PrivacyPortal sells rooted phones, not general consumer handsets. If a device is unrooted, misconfigured, or altered by the user, restoration requires time and technical work, which cannot be provided for free. If the process was ‘so easy to fix’ why buy a unit from us and not just do this self research to say money.
