Made appointment online for fbi check…got scammed.
Made appointment online for fbi check to include mailed copy. Found out I did not need mailed copy so I told technician. She said, "no problem. Come on back. " I get scanned and she tells me to have a nice day. I said again that I need to change my order for only the emailed copy and she said call the company. Did so and they told me it was to bad. I should have made the change prior to getting scanned. So the scammed me out of $90. Go anywhere else if you can.

This company is HORRIBLE!
This company is HORRIBLE!! Do not use. They take large fees up front and fail to explain that you need to upload your FBI background check in a separate step. Weeks passed in which I assumed I was waiting for my Apostille, only to discover that it was never initiated. They charge $265 for one Apostilled page which takes weeks to process, which is more money and more time than other companies which do exactly the same thing. I had to call them to discover that my Apostille was never processed, and spoke to Tyler, who was extremely rude and dismissive. At least I was refunded the money for the Apostille. This is very bad news because my need for the document is time-sensitive--as I'm sure is the case for other would-be customers.
Customer beware!
Printscan is a scam. You schedule your appointment, provide them all your personal protected information, go to your appointment, get fingerprinted and as you walk out of the appointment you are notified they cancelled your appointment and NEVER provide you with your fingerprint cards. Now you have no idea who has access to your personal information. This may be a scam company designed to steal your information. In addition, they provide a service to fingerprint you and then mail you your print cards, which is NOT allowed under their contract with CBI. I called CBI and was informed that service should not be happening, they are supposed to provide your print cards at the time of the appointment. Use this company with extreme caution, they are most likely stealing your personal information. After NOT getting the service paid for from Printscan, I went to Identago and received amazing service, my print cards at the appointment and was charged half as much as Printscan. Use Identago!
Horrible Customer Service
Just talked to a lady on the customer support number for print scan to try and rectify an issue with website not showing a kiosk location that the store owner knows is active and didn't get a single ounce of help from this woman. She talked over me every time i tried to explain the issue and just kept saying "its not an active location" with more and more attitude until she just hung up on me. Extremely unhelpful and down right LAZY. I would be embarrassed to have an employee like that having any customer interactions. DO BETTER.
Takes your PII before it does anything else
This company asks for intensive PII (including DOB and SSN), requires you make an appointment, and then takes you all the way to the payment field BEFORE providing ANY pricing information. This is wildly unethical and possibly illegal at least in several states. When I emailed "customer service" about it, they replied only: "We will not be changing our scheduling process. Please contact another company." Beyond awful!
Charges for other services than what I…
Charges for other services than what I needed. Don't go here. Everything is done online so they won't clear any issues.
Avoid at all costs
One of the worst customer service experiences I have encountered. After travelling to the US (from Canada) specifically to get my fingerprints electronically done, 3 weeks passed and after multiple follow ups from me they told me that due to a 'technical' issue my fingerprints were not submitted to the FBI. No apology or anything. 6 weeks later I finally received the history check from the FBI.
Don't use either for the service or cost. Took longer to receive than the mail submission which I also did as backup so I never actually used the confirmation I eventually received from PrintScan due to how slow they are.
Paperwork rejected…
Prints can printed my FBI background check on blue paper instead of something normal so it was rejected by the government of Montenegro as original. So, after paying all of that money to get the background check and apostille, it is worthless. Now I will have to again fly back to the United States get fingerprints all over again and do the whole process with a legitimate company.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. I had my fingerprints done for an FBI background check. They failed to explain that I needed to provide a physical address, and not a mailing address; they also failed to call me to tell me about this being a problem. Because of that, they cost me over a week of time! They apparently are clueless about the vital services they provide to their customers, and do not respect their customers enough to call them in situations like these. Instead, they have some total flunky of a customer care representative (Tyler J.) that not only is incapable of writing an email with information adequate enough to even know wtf he's trying to say, but just sticks to writing endless emails day, after day, after day never thinking… maybe the emails are going to spam; or having the idea to even pick up a phone because… maybe this customer's background check is for a job or visa.
Mansplaining me much?
I had an appointment in one of their locations (13700 veterans memorial, Houston) and not only the “office” looked sketchy but there was nobody there. They had a “be back at 10” sign on the door. My appointment was at 10:30 and I left at 10:45. In the meantime I called the number for PrintScan and explained what was happening so they proceed to forwarded my call to the office THAT WAS CLOSE. I called again but I got the machine so I left a message. I changed my appointment for the next day (PrintScan only offers appointments for following days) in a different location. Few minutes after that, I received a callback from a guy at PrintScan mansplaining me that my appointment was for the next day, I explain to him that I just changed it and that I had a confirmation number for the previous appointment if he needed it. But he continue to say "I see here that your appointment is for tomorrow" like that was my mistake. I literally had to rise my voice for him to stop telling me that I showed up to the wrong appointment.
So not only I wasted my morning driving to a location that was closed, I was disrespected by PrintScan employee that would not listen to understand but talk to disregard.
If you came all the way here, it’s good that you know that for a FBI background check, PrintScan charges more than IndentoGo and they have same day appointments (I did my background check with them).
Hopefully this reaches you before you waist money and time.
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. Read all the fine print. They will not help you whatsoever. Better off choosing a different company

Total Scam
Despite other websites listing it as a DOJ-approved live scan service in CA, all they do is send you a card with the fingerprints on it, which they fail to mention a use for. Complete waste of money. Go anywhere else.

I went to their Bronx location at williamsbirdge road for fingerprinting for medical license application. The license application required official who took my prints refused to sign a form. I called the customer service and they said that all locations allowed it to sign it but the matter didn't resolve. My card is useless without signature. My 2 hours and 90$ went down the drain. I told them to cancel which they refused as well.
High cost for unsuccessful results

No ORI so no good with FBI
They say they are FBI approved for the fingerprints. I had my prints done with printscan and sent my cards in to the FBI. The FBI emailed back saying no info for the person taking the prints was provided. No ORI number which is required. No legible signature for the official taking the prints. I sent this to printscan and they say "we do not have and do not provide an ORI number". Well how are you FBI approved if you do not have e this required info? So $150 down the drain on fingerprints that are worthless.
One star appears to be the lowest I can…
One star appears to be the lowest I can go. Printscan took our money at one of their UPS locations. The tech scanned the prints a few times. They kept coming up in the "red" and "yellow" range and the tech said they needed to be "green" to work. She tried a few more times and got them to all "yellow" at which time another tech nearby said that would work. The prints were sent and we left. A few days later (after the deadline had passed for the job that was being applied for) we received the notice that the prints were not readable by the FBI. I notified Printscan that we would like a refund since the deadline for the application had come and gone and it was their techs who told us the prints would work. They responded that the FBI considered unreadable prints an actual result so they did not owe us a refund. They said it is in the fine print.
Terrible service!!!!!!
Terrible customer service. Customer service in CA closes at 2pm. There's no business office that's open and no manager to speak to. Horrible.
