They take forever to give you money sent to you. Then on the day it is suppose to reach bank account they don't deposit until midnight almost the next day. Sucky service and slow. Use something else

The company has a problem with their mobile website setup and then it becomes your problem it takes forever to fix it. And you may not make the deadline. Popmoney absorbed the funds in 3 seconds and it will take the sender 10 days to get it back now.

The customer service ladies were very nice however, their policies restrain them from being able to do anything reasonable.

Another indicator is the review sites on this company are terrible everybody is giving them ones and twos I would recommend some other product like cash app

I was set to receive money on a Friday. Suddenly my account was under revue that day according to an email from popmoney. I had to call customer service. I call and complained and was disconnected 3 times. The information i gleaned was that it would take 2 business days to get my money. I was told to wait to receive an email to verify my account which took even longer. One week later still no money. My advice never ever ever use this service. Customer service is non existent.

Tried to transfer money from one of my bank accounts to another - they are small banks so they don't participate in Zelle (which does a great job except if your other bank doe'snot accept Zelle it dumps you into the Popmoney system and you don't know it until your transfer is completed!).

I requested the transfer April 28 (a Sunday); called Popmoney on Monday as my account showed a hold on the account; talked to Kyle at Popmoney who said they sent an email to get the hold removed April 29 and that it would be done no later than Wednesday May 1. On Friday May 3 I check and the transfer is still on hold. Called Popmoney; 15 minutes on hold - I hung up. Called my bank Wilmington Savings Bank and they were too busy but would call back. Called Popmoney again and they said they had emailed Wilmington on Monday April 29 at 11:10 AM and not heard back. Wilmington says they never received email until May 1 and they responded promptly. It turns out the Popmoney "fraud" investigator was out of the office Thursday May 2 so jack _____ did not get done that day - what a great System Popmoney has - good thing Shalonda (that's the fraud investigator's name) did not go on vacation!!!. Overall Popmoney has a terrible system and people that apparently don't give a crap about their customers - you should avoid them at all costs. Use Zelle, Venmo but not Popmoney No accountability at all. Think about it - 5 business days and 8 calendar days to transfer $3,300 from one of my accounts to another. Easy transaction, one person and they can't get it done faster than snail-mail!!!! If fact we'll see if they even get it done Monday.

Please do not fall for this scam of a company. I've been scammed out of money that was sent to me through popmoney. I went and transferred it to my bank and everything was good. Next day however, I get another email saying that the sender was somehow able to stop the payment. Are you serious? You allowed me to initiate the transfer and then allowed the sender to stop it after that? This company had no desire to help me even though common sense will tell you that I got scammed. Customer service has no clue about anything and this is by far the worst company to use to send/receive money. Paypal and Venmo are trustworthy please don't make the same mistake I made. Popmoney is a straight up joke.

This program is awful, no other way to describe it! It takes your money and holds it for days prior to sending it to the recipient. Heaven forbid they don't have, or know about this program because that will add even more days to the time that they are holding your money in limbo. Unfortunately, PNC tricked me into using this to send money. The company I was making a purchase from had no experience with it and couldn't figure out how to actually get the payment I sent for my purchase. The second payment I sent (for an added purchase) to the same company was put on hold by popmoney because the first transfer wasn't claimed. It was an awful and very frustrating situation that lasted a full week, 40+ emails, four calls to my bank, a week delay in get my carpet delivered, and one very unhappy customer all around. I'll never use this program again, and after 16 years, will leave PNC for another bank if they can't come up with an alternative that will actually transfer money in a reasonable amount of time without all this hassle.

What a shitshow. I needed to send money to someone who only banks at a small credit union that doesn't have Zelle, which works really well. Their only option is Popmoney. Signed up, weird interface out of the 90's, but ok, their web form for your password does NOT work with your password wallet! It replaces everything with a series of stars, so your password wallet thinks your password is foo**************************** and now you have no idea what your strong password is suggested by your password wallet. So you have to reset your password. And go through this all again.

BUT THE WORST part is I successfully set it up, had to wait a day until my bank account could be verified, I scheduled a payment, at 0700 the payment was made from my VERIFIED bank account ot the payee... and then at 1000 I got ANOTHER email that said no - we lied, we actually didn't make the transaction, AND your account is suspended. What the hell did I do except try to use your service?

I call, they have no idea, the support person is polite enough, but sounds like they get no information from the rest of the company, they refer it to a verification department, again - no idea what information I can provide them that will help them figure out what to do, no they don't have any phones! They only work at computer terminals. And they only talk to other humans through those computer terminals. Why even have support, if they can't help you? Beats me. So, maybe in one to two business days some computer terminal in VERIFICATION may give me a response, who knows, no one at this BANKING company, part of FISERV, has a clue, a sense of urgency, any idea how to keep Zelle from kicking their sorry butts up and down the block.

So should you use Popmoney?

Not if you have any other choice. I'll happily edit this if I'm the only customer Popmoney has ever randomly not worked for, mysteriously put transactions on hold after verifying.

Worst of all. Your money is "lost " somewhere and then takes 7 days to appear.. Stay away from it!!!!

Got a text to set up this service and collect money's that are waiting for me. Filled out the sign up form and when I got to my birthday the calender was TODAYS date. You had to back arrow the calender month by month. 66yrs was going to take a very long time. Called customer service who said I had to go to a tablet or computer because their different. So the payment is sent to my mobile device but their techs can't put a legitimate calender on the signup. I have Zelle took 1 minute to set up.

Just beyond horrific. Shady, inefficient company. It’s a scam. Tried to sign up to pay my rent, and they asked for all sorts of documents. After they received, their response is that they cannot approve and verify my account. Definitely a scam. Read the reviews. Apple Pay, Zelle, and PayPal are so easy to use.

How can it take 5 days to transfer money from one account to another account AT THE SAME credit union??
