I was very disappointed with my experience- upfront advice conflicted end result
I was very disappointed with my experience with Polaron. Their response times were very slow. I was told over the phone at the start that my situation was worth exploring (yes my fault for not getting this in writing) and then at the end was told i was not eligible and this was based on the information that they knew at the start- I felt there was a lack of transparency and they ensured they were able to bill me a significant amount. They were able to justify this spending (passed on to me) as this was the result of them paying fees etc to get documents from various Archives etc. But as mentioned, they knew my situation based on the information I gave them at the start and there was no need to pay for the extra document search.I would have been more than happy to pay a small fee at the start to receive the advice that I was not eligible based on what I told them upfront.
I do not speak Polish and all the documents I received were in Polish. They do not offer translation services as part of their offering- you have to pay extra for translation. So a heads up to everyone here.
Many of the documents they provided me as part of their research is what I provided them to start to help their research. So again, a heads up to everyone that you may receive documents back as part of their research.
I would not recommend Polaron. As a positive though, they were able to get a lot of documents through the various archives and their contacts. I would urge any future potential clients to get any advice in writing and to ask Polaron to explain in detail the potential of your case being a success + what angle they will go down to try and prove your eligibility (again in writing)

Sorry to hear of your disappointment of not being eligible for Polish citizenship.
However, we told you from the start that you were likely not eligible for Polish citizenship through descent so the service you purchased was to confirm that. You asked us to investigate it further and engaged us to find records in Poland, which, as you say, we did. The scope of our engagement was very clear and we delivered what you contracted us to do.
Hopefully, with a bit of time on your hands during COVID, you have been able to pick up some Polish. Good luck!

The worst service I have ever experienced
Flat out, the worst, most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. My family and I applied for Polish citizenship back in 2010 using Polaron's services. In 2020 we still had not received citizenship, had paid excessive fees and continuously received less-than satisfactory customer service from Polaron.
After a disagreement, we pulled our case and ended up handling it directly with the Polish Government. We received a positive decision within three months handling it ourselves.
We are still waiting on Polaron to send us all of our documentation, which they promised to do, and continue to chase daily with no success
I cannot stress enough that this company should not be engaged with and their Directors should not be trusted by any means.

While we're not at liberty to discuss the specific details of cases we handle on a public forum like this, there is a lot more to this story than what "Candy" here chose to describe. As the director of Polaron, I categorically refute "Candy's" version of events. It is so incredibly disappointing and hurtful to see our name being tarnished this way.
