Waste of time and money
I paid for the PicFair Plus subscription for twelve months, in that time the company did not promote me once, although I had asked. The only sales I made was me ordering prints - which to my horror I discovered are of poor quality. Even then I never received any of my fees. I cancelled at the end of the year but the company managed to charge my credit card again. Fortunately Barclaycard refunded me. These guys are fraudsters, they just want your money. The website may be okay but it is not a platform for selling, it is a platform that exploits creators. I then discovered Patreon - thank God for that.

To clarify a few points, Picfair is designed to give photographers the tools to build and grow their own online store, rather than individually promoting certain photographers over others. When users ask for marketing support, we provide guidance and resources on how to self-promote effectively, but we can’t selectively promote individual accounts as this wouldn’t be fair across the platform.
Regarding print quality, we work with a professional global print partner that fulfils prints across a wide range of products and price points. While issues are rare, if a customer is unhappy with a print we’re always happy to investigate and can offer either a free reprint or a refund of the print and shipping costs so the image can be printed locally instead.
We also want to be clear that subscription renewals are not hidden. Renewal dates, terms, and amounts are displayed during checkout before subscribing. If a subscription renews before cancellation is made, we’re often still happy to discuss options with photographers, including discount offers that allow them to continue building their store at a lower cost.
We appreciate the feedback, even if your experience was disappointing, and we genuinely wish you success with your photography going forward.

The marketplace aspect feels somewhat limited, and discovery tools could be improved to help buyers find new creators more easily. Some customization and advanced features also feel a bit basic compared to other portfolio platforms.
Picfair is doing well in making photography selling more approachable and less intimidating for independent creators. Their focus on simplicity and creator ownership is a strong advantage.
To improve, I think Picfair could invest more in marketing tools, better search and discovery features, and stronger community engagement to help photographers gain exposure. More portfolio customization options and analytics would also make the platform feel more competitive for serious creators.
Overall, Picfair is a solid platform with a good concept, but there’s still room to grow in helping photographers reach larger audiences and generate more consistent sales.

Waste your time uploading photos and editing tags etc. only to hit you with a subscription if you actually want to sell.

I have enjoyed the whole process of finally making a photography portfolio. This seems like a great place to start, for someone like myself, who has always taken photos as a hobby, but never had the time to attempt anything professional. This is user-friendly, informative, and watching my portfolio of photos come together has motivated me to keep working on it! It was incredibly easy to get published and licensed and already getting a "star" from Picfair for one of my photos made me feel really good. Now, I really hope to actually sell some of my work!

It is fairly seamless and it is by far the most affordable option for a photo store. The cash out process is a bit of a pain for non UK based users. I do like the recent additions for sorting album order.

Great Platform for Photographers
It takes awhile to get your first sale. It took me about 80 pictures to get there. However, I think if I can keep adding my best work, I will eventually get there. The platform is 10 times better than Shutterstock. They aren't too picky about rejecting your pictures unless they are AI or have copyright issues. And you they upload your photos right away. I am satisfied with PicFair so far!
