I do cover from XYZ Car Insurance and When I called for assistance, firstly I thought I was talking to A&I no professional. Refused to assist me because I didn't make claim within 6 hours, rubbish I was told I can get support 24.hrs and multiple call. It is a scam company don't waste time with them
This company was provided by my insurer XYZ as break down provider, I have puncture on my tyre. They refused to come as non emergency call according to their classification, they have told me I need to arrange my own breakdown solution and they will reimburse the cost. This is a sham as breakdown provider doing nothing just accepting calls even when I have asked to tow my car to my home or a tyre shop they refused.
You pay money for zero service, My cover is unlimited calls cover!!!
Nova Direct , cancelled my policy They wouldn't provide cover for breakdown.
They are obliged to give 14 days.Notice in the terms and conditions which they failed to do As a result, I had started a claim against them.Which they have defended unbelievable.Just pay me what you owe me. Only £14-00 Total con merchants.👎
Pex Insurance ,Nova Direct and their broker Zuger Znap are one and the same.
All 3 are rip off merchants.
All 3 have over 90% 1 star reviews on Google.
All 3 should be closed down.

Failed to carry out the terms of my breakdown cover. Agent on the phone left me stranded with a broken down car in the middle of a bus lane, despite me having a valid breakdown cover.
I complained and an ‘investigation’ has been launched - received no reply and it’s been around a week! Total scam.
Don't trust this company. I have emergency lost key insurance with Nova ( An insurance company operated by PEX) and I made a claim in March. It's now August and I'm still waiting for a key. Haven't been able to drive since then. Lost work because of it and been unable to take my mother to hospital appointments.
You can't call the claim company, it's all done via email which they are now just ignoring me. I've emailed them 10+ times and got no reply. I've now complained to the Financial Ombudsman who is looking it them.
Avoid them like the plague.
Big SCAM avoid at all costs. Legal action pending to recover my money
Paid for insurance that would start in 2 weeks time. Prior to receiving a policy was asked to take a phone call to confirm details which I did, then received a further call to say the policy was going to be nearly a £100 dearer so I said I would politely decline as had cheaper offers. Despite not having a policy issued have had the refund MINUS £75 admin charge. AVOID at all costs

Pex Insure, Zugar Znap and their Holding Company Nova Direct are the WORST Group I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. They took my money, whilst Lying to me about the level of Car Insurance Cover they would provide and then 12hours Later They Stole another £187 pounds from my Debit Card, without my Consent or Contacting Me and today they have taken Another £75. I have had to have my Card and Account Frozen to these Thieves and I'm still discussing the recovery of my money with my Bank and I have email both Martin Lewis (ITV) and Rip Off Britain (BBC) and I will follow up next week by informing the reputable site Compare the Market, that they are allowing the listing of a Devious, Underhanded Group that has an inability to respond to emails, calls or letters but are happy to keep taking money from your card.
I have already told all of my staff to WARN all their friends and family Not To Deal With These.
Typical insurance do anything not pay out
I took out some mobile phone insurance with Nova Direct for my Samsung S23 ultra. Several months later.
Unfortunately whilst on holiday, i placed my shorts with my mobile in the pocket on the ground on some rocks. (I didn't drop my phone).
When i next looked at it, i found it had a very small chip and 4 long cracks in the front screen. The phone worked fine.
So when i return i submit a claim for a new screen. Paid the excess £150.
Pex Insure (who deal with claims) sent me an email with several criteria to go through.
After 25 emails later and a lot of running around getting several estimates with who they want were approved authorised representative, but wouldn't tell me who they were.
They came back saying i wasn't insured. I couldn't understand as on the face of the policy it clearly said i as covered for theft, accidentally damage. But in the small print, within the policy, one of the paragraphs, said chips and crack weren't covered. I am absolutely disgusted with this company and how they have treated me. To put that in the small print for a mobile phone insurance policy is disgusting. That's the whole point of insuring a mobile phone.
After dealing with this company, its typical insurance trying anything not to pay out.
Don't do it. I needed to claim for a flat battery in the French Alps on their motor breakdown policy. It took 20 minutes for them to be bothered to answer the phone, then they do everything they can to turn down your claim l. Left me high and dry 700 miles from home.
Don't make the same mistake by going cheap!

My call handler was clear and efficient - he obviously has quite strict guidelines to follow but has patient and helpful. Got a local tow truck booked and all went well taking the car to my garage of choice.
It was a slow process to get through all the phone options though given I was broken down at the side of the road - would appreciate a dedicated break down call out number - fortunately I had plenty of battery and minutes left on my plan.

The law states you're allowed 10 days to make repairs after the MOT date.
PEX does not care about that law.
Just their own laws.

There is no legal reason they would not authorize recovery, as I was driving the car to be repaired.
But, no. Left me with 3 wheels, stranded.

I purchased my phone insurance through Nova Direct but it turns out Pex deal with the claim.
It’s all online but they take 3 working days to come back to you on any query.
After I submitted my claim and received an email a month after submitting my claim to tell me they’re paying the funds, 10 days later the money still hasn’t hit my account.
I have asked for proof of payment but again that takes 3 days to get a reply, and I am not being told there is nothing they can do if I do not see the funds in my account.
Oh and this is after they took £50 excess and the deducted a £140 from their £440 offer because I asked for a cash payment so that I could get the phone fixed myself.
The attitude of people there is disgusting
Like all the other reviewers on here - this company make every effort to avoid payment of claims quoting there own unreasonable and vague policy clauses for non payment. Refused the claim because I simply didn't get ownership checks done within their particular timeframe of 48 hours. This is unreasonable - this does not reflect the requirements of "Customer duty" guidance. I wish I had seen this review page before taking out a policy with them 2 years ago. I am now taking legal advice and claiming with ombudsman.
