The open24 banking is so frustrating
The open24 banking is so frustrating, I actually want to scream. For almost every single thing that I click on, I am asked to authenticate using my phone. I must have authenticated 20 times in the last 5minutes and it now just randomly logs me out. All I want is to print out a simple record of certain transactions from last year, but it won't allow a search for anything over a year and it is now January 12th so I can't see the first 12 days of last year. It isn't possible to download a PDF of certain transactions like it is on their business banking site. I can filter and find them in a search, but when I go to download them to print, it downloads every single transaction on my account rather than the ones I searched for. So incredibly not user friendly!

It's just horrendous trying to use the app or phine banking, whoever reads this for the sake of your own sanity stay away, I'm at my wits end, if there is such a thing as hell it will be trying to use the bloody app or there phone service, I'm done, I'm closing my account and taking it somewhere that doesn't make the simplest of things a living hell

Have to agree with all the reviews here, am with TSB over 30years , can't believe the drop in their customer service, they want everything to be automated and computerized, and then they provide a crap useless service, shame on you ,and I know you don't care anyway, hopefully I just turn away potential future customers, please bank elsewhere if you can.
Avoid
Avoid, I'm with them over six years, never had unpaid d/d or overdraft. First loan paid in advance. Now Part time work and self employment with proof from Revenue how much I earn, they checking all transactions, even I have to explain my sister incoming transfer for €260. It's a joke, not bank. They won't give any loan even if you have savings, moving to another bank today, tired of them!!!!!
Current Account and Mortgages
For their current account, it has a daily transfer limit of €10,000 for same day or €2,000 for future dated, which is really low. The only way to send more is visiting a branch. And the reason I want to do this is to repay my PTSB mortgages, which were sold to Pepper Finance in Feb 2023. The rate was 5.05%, but Pepper promptly raised this to 9.55%. Profiteering sponsored by PTSB, who then make it impossible to repay those loans, so future borrowers are warned.

Trying to report lost Debit card. Just been cut off after been holding for over an hour, for 2nd time. Tried both numbers. Kept being told by automated voice that I'd need the 16 digit number which is only on the LOST CARD 👎👎👎👎

Ive opened a tsb account omg what AN AWFUL APP ... Its so complex and confusing ... I have been using it for a month now and each time i end up calculating the figures myself because everything seems so all over the place ...
I would avoid tsb because of this and ill probably open a new account with another bank..

Another PTSB shambles
Although from Donegal, I work in the north and get paid in the North. On the day my mortgage was due. I nipped across to Dundalk with the intention.of withdrawing euros from my northern card. There was an error on the machine and I didn't get any money but it came out of my account. I went into the branch and reported it. My details were taken by someone who seemed like they couldn't be bothered. I was assured of an investigation and a callback but never received it. In 12 years with Ulster Bank Ireland I never had a single complaint. I totally regret moving to PTSB when they closed. It has been a shambles from day 1

The most fraudulant corrupt bank ever in existance. How the central bank allow them to operate in ireland is beyond me. Not one of their staff in the call centre have any knowledge of rules, products, regulations etc. They are disgusting, rude, ignorant and useless.
PTSB , Negative experiences and lack of oversight and accountability.
The experience I have been having along with my ill and hospitalised mother , who is the account holder, but has appointed me as her representative, and filled out the power of attorney form as suggested on their website had brought us to literal mental and emotional exhaustion.
Followed the advice of 3-4 customer service reps. And website indication of third party representation, was repeatedly assured ..
The ' manager ' of the branch ,,( ATM facility) with her imperious, self righteous, bad mannered and contemptuous demeanour should self reflect on her delivery of communication and regard for the dignity of the customer. I will be pursuing this matter as far as it has to go.
Apart from this one individual, having read every review and 94.68% being negative and in some cases extremely stressful and traumatic experiences ( in a bank of all places )
It seems evident that this is a culture in PTSB , wheirin they seem to think they can treat customers and their representatives how they please , and do treat customers extremely badly.
I think the directorate should be informed, if they are interested in keeping PTSBs future intact and review their recruitment procedures and standards , and train staff on customer service engagement.
As customers are leaving in droves, and rightly so , given the complete disregard for basic customer interaction, communication, problem solving and advice.
Applied for a credit card
Applied for a credit card, which they say they take 3-4 days for the application to process. 11 days later I had to call them to check the application status and they wanted extra paperwork which they never requested. I’ve been banking with them for 18 years plus now and never had a credit arrears nor overdrafts. Absolutely appalling service.
A wonderful bank is no more
I am over 30 years with them and it used to be a great bank but it has been steadily downhill. I had a mortgage with them but they sold it a Vulture Fund although I was up to date with the payments.
I wanted a loan but they ignored me at my local branch, told me they'd call but never did. I was trying to get a load for a small fraction of the value of my assets. Then I tried online and I mentioned to them that I had a property abroad.
Now the want all types of documents from abroad with translations. Last week I opened a Bank of Ireland account, I am planning to leave them.
Still, I have great memories of the good old days when they put the customer first.

Dreadful bank! They called my mother "racist" for saying that she could not understand the call centre worker and requesting someone who could speak good English- imagine in Ireland in an Irish bank an Irish customer asks for someone with good English! When she complained, they sent a letter basically giving her a little lecture about the usual woke tosh.Ulster Bank was much better and never delayed transactions. This bank messes up transfers and delays crediting accounts. They keep funds in their own account rather than transferring them directly to the customer's account. Avoid them!
A truly awful bank
A truly awful bank. I moved from Ulter Bank after more than a decade of hiccup-free banking to this. My account has been scammed more than once, so I definitely have no confidence in their technology stack. Customer service is appalling. Maybe if they spent more time delivering more reliable services than on BS rebranding and a slogan totally contrary to what they offer, I wouldn't be in the process of trying to select another bank.
Absolute nightmare!!
First new card was not arriving for two weeks, had to reorder new one, it came along with the pin at the same time! You have to special approve Google pay by calling them and talk with customer service for long time and still after that you can't use it online....it cost me 800 € loss. So, tried to do some online purchases and they blocked my card, another 2,5 hrs wasted. At the moment dealing with that. That was my short journey with the most crappy bank I ever encountered. And they are supposed to be a good Irish bank. Will not deal with any Irish banks anymore...they all have horrendous reviews here. Unfortunately I didn't look. And yes...app is absolute crap!

Would not recommend, I am regretting that I’ve moved here from ulster bank. Can’t get anything done in branch only online and you need to wait 3 working days for estatament to be issued. Very disappointed with the service. Compare to other banks providers where you can just request thrue the mobile app things like statements and you have it available next day here you need to ring to find out that you still need to wait 3 days. I needed statement asap and due to that I wasn’t able to process important thing for me. Will be moving to a different bank asap.

I called to tsb Douglas 26/10/23.
I called to shut down an account that I couldn't access and was only getting 000.1%interest.
I wanted funds transferred into my main current account that I could access anytime.
After one week account not closed.
I phoned head office Dublin.
They said they had received request to close account .
They said it would be done within days.
Two weeks.
0 I phoned again.
Told me go back to local branch.
Did this and still no results.
Absolutely disgraceful.
Can't access my own money !
