I’ve been collecting my repeat prescription here for many years without issue, but today was extremely frustrating. My doctor had sent my prescription on 28/11, yet when I came in, the staff insisted it hadn’t been received. Even after I showed proof on my NHS app, I was told to go back to my doctor.

The receptionist at my GP was very helpful and provided a code confirming the prescription had been sent. When I returned to the pharmacy, they eventually found it on the system — but still told me I’d have to come back tomorrow. I explained I needed the medication today, only to be told I should order five days in advance, even though that wouldn’t have solved the issue.

To make matters worse, the staff member who dealt with me was unhelpful from the start and showed the same attitude to another elderly customer who simply needed a plaster. I ended up helping her myself.

I don’t usually leave negative feedback, but this experience was disappointing and unprofessional. The lack of care and dismissive attitude from staff made what should have been a straightforward process unnecessarily stressful.

Went in looking for NightNurse for myself - met by the assistant who as usual, was superb, prompt and attentive.
She established I am a T1D so needed to check with the pharmacist (male not the female pharmacist who is brilliant) - who advised I'm not allowed to take due to complications with glaucoma and prostate!!
I checked on Goofgle and ther sole advice was not to take if pregnant or breast feedlng - I'm neither as I'm male.
I queried this and said I'll simply get it elsewhere, to be told by him that I'm not looking after myself or my body if I did that. Not sleeping well (hence the need for NightNurse) so temper perhaps a little shorter, I informed him not to speak to me like that; I need it for 2/3 days to get over the last part of my cold / cough as not sleeping and how dare he speak to me like that - he doesn't know who I am and how well I do / don't look after myself so shouldn't assume I'm soem sort of neandarthal.
Anyway, Well received my £9.99, advised on ots paracetamol content and upon checling the instructions in detial there is ZERO mention of not suitable for T1D - and shock, horror when I take it I will incraese my insulin levels accordingly.

A jobsworth and one to avoid which is a shame as all the staff and female pharmacist are really good at what they do.

It was really straight forward to order the medication we needed - good value for money too. Medication was delivered very efficiently.

I have used Peak Pharmacy on-line twice now for Malarone generic anti-malaria tablets. They are the cheapest I have found anywhere, on line or over the counter. They arrived within a couple of days.
