Charged $807.65 for a single 15 minute interview.
Called them about pain medication for my Fibromyalgia and to confirm that they took Medicare. Made an appointment. Upon checking in for my appointment, I confirmed that Medicare would pay for my appointment, which they confirmed again and they took my Medicare information.
I then talked for about 15 minutes with a young lady, who took my blood pressure and asked about my medical history. She then delivered their sales pitch about what they offer. None of it had anything to do with the medication I was seeking to replace since moving back to the US. I told her I was not interested and left.
I then get a bill in the mail for $807.65 for my 15-minute interview.
Of that amount, Medicare was billed $650 for that 15-minute interview.
My portion of the bill was $157.65.
This was for a 15-minute visit with a nurse/nurse practitioner.
If this is not an example of Medicare fraud, I don't know what is.
