Just wanted to share my personal experience with Orion. A couple of months ago, I bought an Orion Sleep system. I used it for a few weeks and worked with the customer service team, which was always very helpful and responsive, but unfortunately I just didn’t see the results that I wanted to see to justify a $2500 purchase. The Orion customer support team, specifically Rochelle, was very understanding when I requested a return, and sent me a free return label as well as free packaging to ship the sleep system back in. I dropped off the package at a UPS store and sent them the shipping label. Unfortunately, after I left, they applied the shipping label to the wrong package and sent Orion a box of toys as my return, and sent my Orion sleep system to whoever was supposed to receive the toys. I spent a couple of weeks emailing, calling, and trying to work with UPS to get this issue resolved, but unfortunately I just wasn’t getting anywhere. Finally, I sent Rochelle an email and asked her if she could look into it. She said she would, and within a couple of days she had found the package and had orchestrated for things to be made right. A little under a week later, Rochelle confirmed they had received my sleep system and had processed the refund. All that to say, I can confirm from personal experience that Orion’s customer support team is incredible!

I’ve been a hot sleeper for years, frequently waking up sweating and needing to lower the AC to ~67°, which made things uncomfortable for my wife. I had followed Eight Sleep for a long time but couldn’t justify the cost, so I decided to try Orion Sleep after extensive research.

Setup & App Experience

Setup was relatively straightforward, and the app guided the process well. That said:

* Dual-user setup wasn’t very intuitive at first
* Some early bugs (WiFi setup issues, unnecessary water refill prompts)

Customer Support (Standout)

I experienced hardware issues early on and went through multiple towers. While not ideal, Orion’s response was excellent:

* Fast, proactive replacements
* No friction or delays
* Clear ownership of issues

What stood out most was the level of engagement. I had direct communication with Harry (CEO), Praveen, and Rochelle, who were very responsive and proactive. At one point, they even shared their mobile numbers so I could reach them directly. That level of customer support is rare and made a big difference.

Performance (Core Cooling)

Now that the system is stable:

* I am no longer waking up sweating
* We don’t need to excessively cool the room
* My wife is much more comfortable

From a cooling and temperature regulation standpoint, Orion delivers and competes strongly with other smart mattress systems.

Areas for Improvement

* Sleep tracking and insights are still developing
* AI-driven recommendations could be more actionable
* App experience could be more polished

Final Verdict

Orion delivers where it matters most: temperature control and improved sleep comfort. While there were early adopter challenges, strong customer service and ongoing updates make this a compelling option.

Would recommend for hot sleepers, with the expectation that software and insights continue to improve.

First thing that makes me feel good about Orion is their customer service, Orion has a customer support team second to none. Second thing is Orion promised to improve my sleep quality and they delivered. My sleep duration has increased, as well as my deep sleep. I went from 2 to 3 days of 2 hours plus of deep sleep per month to 15 plus days. My monthly deep sleep average is 2h15m a night. I switch to night shift since sleeping with the Orion sleep system and my sleep quality now is even better than when I work day shift. I highly recommend the Orion if you are looking for better sleep quality.
