I would really like to thank Bill at Orange Mailer. He really helped me with my claim I filed after purchasing a shipping label with insurance through my Orange mailer account. I must admit. I was skeptical at first as in terms of getting my insurance claim full filled, but they paid it in full. All I had to do was submit the documents that Bill requested and Orange mailer did the rest on my behalf. It did take about a month or two to finally receive my check but I do understand that these things take time. I give them five stars all the way.

Site runs incredibly slow
Site runs incredibly slow when... it actually goes to the correct page. It's been like this for awhile. Then a couple of times I've been unable to print my postage after paying for it. It's happening right now...

You have to create an account just see what the rates are. And they are not reasonable at all. I was looking for cheap media mail and they don't even offer it. And they way overcharge for all shipping labels.

Such a shame. Some people refuse to take advantage of free telephone support, free chat support, and/or free trouble ticket support. Why do I say that? Because we do offer media mail - it is under the "additional options" and then "special rates" section and we would have told this person had they asked. It is also a shame that they dislike enter some basic info like email, password and minimal contact info just to have access to a free account that only requires payment IF you create postage. Well, we do try, but not everyone can be pleased. As for our overcharging for labels - we do what we say "never more than the local post office". And should you want special discounts, well thats available too (at a subscription level). We admit we aren't for everyone, but we do offer nearly every option the local post office offers - without ever going there - and all with a FREE account and you'll never pay more than your local post office.

We have never - not once - blocked any of our thousands of users simply because they have a free account. Most of our users take advantage of that. If you have actually been blocked it could be due to entering the wrong password, using the wrong email, or a suspicion of fraud. But regardless, please reach out and let us help.
Completely pleased
I've been using Orange Mailer for a mere 10 days now, and I couldn't be happier with their overall service, responsiveness to questions, receptivity to suggestions, and _shockingly low_ postage rates compared to our previous vendor (that almost rhymes with "bloody nose"). Upon entering your shipment information and clicking on "View Available Rates", you'll be presented with a dropdown listing all available classes of USPS postage (and presumably those of other shipping accounts you might have added to the system). I've yet to link our UPS and FedEx accounts, but expect it to be as well thought-out as OM's other functions.
I signed up for the Professional Plan ($44.99, billed quarterly), and have been impressed with the way the system _just works_. Reporting on Cost Codes is displayed by date (Date, Recipient, Service, Cost Code, Cost), so you'll need moderate spreadsheet skills to get the totals _per code_. While I have had some challenges with printer settings for 8.5"x14" label sheets (4-4"x6"), those have been made easier by printing from the IrfanView image viewer (pro tip: make custom margin profiles - and don't forget to LOAD them!). Adding addresses via bulk CSV was simple enough, and recalling them is brilliantly executed by a last name OR company search. For our larger, batch jobs, I've ordered a 4x6 thermal label printer. I cannot wait for that beast to arrive...

Easy and Reliable for Media Mail
I started to look for somewhere to buy postage for books when PayPal stopped allowing it. I've been using OrangeMailer for about a year now and have been very pleased with it. I've had questions a couple times and got quick, accurate answers. I expect to continue to use it for a long time.

Big ad to get you to upgrade
I used to use this company. It is now a big ad just to get you to upgrade. They used to give us free 3rd party shippers. Now, you have to "upgrade". There is a shipping platform called Rollo that is free, and gives you discounts. OM has turned from a good shipping platform to a big ad to get you to upgrade.
Highly not recommend.
EDIT: In addition, package tracking isn't even on the free plan. Tracking numbers these days are essential and should be part of the Basic plan. You should not have to pay OM extra for them to give you the number. Also, they responded they are targeting home consumers, but these users don't ship frequently enough to justify a monthly service fee. Plus, they do sell an Enterprise plan for business users, where a monthly fee makes more sense.

Sorry to hear you moved on to a service you feel is better for your shipping. We'd love for you to stay but sometimes we are not the best. We actually are not designed for e-commerce shippers like the others are. We are designed for the consumer and small office / home office user.
Unlike the service you changed to which charges 5 cents for every label, our service is actually 100% free.
We don't feel we are a big ad pushing you to upgrade. We don't open new windows, or bug you in any way. The option to upgrade is there IF you need what the upgrade offers. If you don't need it, no reason to use it. If you want to pay extra for a system that does NOT offer First Class letters, Certified Mail, Chat support, phone support and is literally a big ad for printers - cool. We can not match all that. But if you want to avoid going to the post office - that we can do (for free)!

Regarding the History - it is still available for all users (including free), there are some enhancements (like cost codes and notes) that are only on a paid level, but the History for every mailing is there including tracking numbers, reprint, etc. Simply click the History tab in the upper navigation.
Let us know if you have some suggestions for other things you would like to see. 99% of our updates occur due to user feedback.

Unable to read tracking number assigned to package I mailed...the number is appears fuzzy and unable to open when clicking
I know my free account started with $10 & only used $2.88 to print label so I feel I should be able to still access tracking before upgrade to $4.99/mo acct

Hi. Not sure why the tracking number would appear fuzzy other than your screen resolution. It is shown in plain text with nothing fancy.
The tracking number is not clickable on the free plan - however, you can simply copy and paste it into Google (or USPS.com) and see full details.

You took away the address book and now tracking in history. We already pay you guys in the postage itself so I don’t think we should have to pay you twice to have these very simple things. Will be looking for another online mailing company

Hi,
Yes - it is true we make money on the postage, but the reality is that it is a very small amount, As an example - on a first class letter we loose money. Why? Because we don't charge a credit card fee, but we must pay 2.9% + 30 cents on every single credit card charge.
As we grew we saw that few people (compared to total users) were using the address book, batch printing, enhanced history, etc - so we determined to pull that off the base FREE version and offer if as an upgrade.
What that means is that we are still here - the _only_ FREE service that offers nearly all levels (and then some) of the local post office. BUT - if you want more (like the address book) we still offer that as well.
This enables us to meet the needs of every user (the local post office does not have an address book or batching or IMb tracking) and if some users want more - then for a minimal amount that helps cover our real costs, they are available.
I hope this helps you and others understand our pricing. We try to be transparent, and we love our customers feedback. We will take your comments to heart and where possible, we'll make the needed changes.
Easy and powerful postage label website
I have been using Orange Mailer for several years now. I ship books (Media Mail), packages, Priority envelopes. I am able to generate the labels, insure packages. An an address book and history makes it easy to ship again to previous recipients. And their tech team when I have suggested changes to fix problems actually made the change shortly after I contacted them. Amazing!

Really Good Overall
I wish it had address validation or at least a preview of how the address will print. It usually takes a few tries to get to the login page...not sure why. It would be nice to be able to stay logged-in because I use it all day and that becomes a PITA. Overall I really like it though. It is super easy to buy postage and print labels. I love having a history of what has been sent and when. I use the address book and that saves me a ton of time. It is an affordable solution for what I do.

I am really glad I found OrangeMailer. I started using them just before the COVID crisis hit, and it was a life saver. I was able to work from home and send documents to the office without needing to drive in. Now that COVID is subsiding, I still use it for all of my mailing needs. Its easy to use, has multiple options for creating postage, and its very inexpensive. If you mail more than 2-4 items per month, it well pays for itself. (just not having to go buy and keep postage stamps alone is almost worth it.

It's good for the amount that I use it.
It took a little bit of time to get used to it. I had been using another service and it was pretty straight forward. Sometimes when I'm trying to print the postage it doesn't want to print so I have to go to the history and reprint, which is Ok. As long as I can print it. I like that I can see when the mail was delivered regardless of it being Priority or just regular mail. I couldn't do that with the previous company. All in all, it's pretty decent.
