I’m always cautious before dealing with any business. I spent around 30 minutes on the phone with an Openfair representative and they professionally answered every question I had. Even though we never met in person, she treated me with such warmth, respect, and professionalism that I felt completely supported throughout the entire process. She helped me purchase my dream small business in a new country — something I never thought I could do.
Not only is Morgan incredibly knowledgeable and responsive, but she’s also kind and thoughtful. We even bonded over our shared love of Japanese anime and cats, which made everything feel more personal and human.

Avoid paying TWICE for services.
This company has a business model that I simply won't support, and I encourage others to steer clear of them. They want BOTH a significant monthly fee to list your business for sale PLUS they collect a "success fee" if they find a buyer. Other quality sites for selling a business, like Crexi, LoopNet, BizBuySell, etc. charge a monthly fee, but it is usually less than Openfair's $300 to $500 a month fee, but there is no "success fee" at the end. (By the way, Openfair calls this a "success fee" since they are not licensed brokers, but it's the same thing as a commission.) If you hire a commercial broker to sell your business, you'll end up paying the equivalent of a "success fee" in the form of a reasonable commission, but you won't be paying $300-500 a month just to have your listing appear before your prospective buyers. Your broker will decide where and how to list your property for a sale, at their expense. ONLY Openfair requires to you pay BOTH monthly fees PLUS the equivalent of a commission at the time of sale. Avoid this company! They also won't stop calling me even when I make it clear that I don't support their business model!

Great Customer Experience
I listed my business for sale on other broker sites, and it was difficult, because there were no other services offered other than listing the business.
OpenFair's model is much more impactful because not only does the company provide listings, it also engages the seller and attracts potential buyers.
My point of contact, Eva Morgan, was professional, listened well to my needs, prompt in responding, and I felt as if I was her only client.
Totally worth giving a shot!
We had fantastic experience from onboarding to final sale. Kaitlyn was always helpful, available and ready to get things moving. Transparent and eager. Giving them 4 stars because there is always some room for improvement and don't want readers to think that they are perfect. Lots of interested buyers and ended up with 4 offers with the help of Openfair's team. They provided M&A advisory, explained the process and were very honest and transparent with me compared to others that reached out to me, that'swhy I picked them. It doesn't mean that it's easy as I still had to provide documents and information and they trained me on the whole process, I felt I was their assistant in selling the business not the other way around. I'm now helping transition to the new owners and will take more time to take care of my loved ones ❤️.

They strung us along with first one
They strung us along with first one, then a second, then a third, then a fourth person before they finally gave us a valuation. By the time they did, it was two days past the date by which you must notify them of your intention to not renew. I told them (persons 3 and 4) when I finally got to talk to someone who knows how to value a company that I did not want to renew, and they assured me that I would not be charged for another month. But no, here comes person #2 telling me they charged me anyway. $800 for nothing.

I was impressed with the results. I had worked at building my company for the past 41 years. When it came to selling my business, it was one of the biggest decisions of my life, and honestly, it felt overwhelming. Openfair was there every step of the way. They weren’t just helpful, they genuinely cared. They answered my endless questions and made sure I had everything I needed, they made the whole process so much easier. I always felt like I had someone in my corner, looking out for me. Most of the time I felt I was their assistant in selling my business not the other way around. If you’re looking for someone who truly wants to see you succeed, Openfair is the right place to be.

This is an amendment to a previous review I wrote which OpenFair asked for. It’s worse now. My partner and I asked for updates, which they don’t do. We were told EVERY business would be sold in 3 months, and it’s over 4 months for us. If they can’t do it, or don’t want to, just say so. Why charge us every month knowing as such?
A guy named Oliver got ahold of me, telling me he was quality control and assured me of their assurance and ideals. Blah, blah, blah…
I talked with him Tuesday, 11/19 and he set up a phone deal for him, Jason Cole and I the next day, Wednesday 11/20 at 1-2 PM mountain time which never happened. I sat and waited for this. I mean, who is paying who?
I want to talk with the owner. If they don’t want to work with us, just say so.
I would appreciate a refund for work I don’t feel has been done, also. It’s only right because my partner and I haven’t seen anything as far as progress, even though we asked for such.
If they did as such, or were proactive in the same, I wouldn’t have to be ugly like this.
To me, you should answer a phone call, message, or email, considering these people sign your pay checks and they admit the more they sell your business for, the more they make.
I’m just glad I found out who their competitors are and will be talking with them if OpenFair doesn’t get their act together.
What I don’t get is the nerve of them asking for a positive review when they didn’t do anything positive in the first place? I mean, they want me to say how great they were before the fact they actually sold the business and how much for. If my partner and I were happy with the outcome.
To me that’s presumptuous, and it pads their reviews, not to mention their reviews just might be padded with the owners friends and family, which, makes this site inefficient and also liable to fraud and legal statutes.
