Beware this company charge exorbitant fees an initial call out fee then an extortionate hourly rate that would make a barrister blush, then admin fee. Parts not quoted but likely to be high. In my case they only suggested that the issue was with the boiler and did not fix it.

I wish I had read these reviews before calling this company. They charged me £394 per hour, plus admin fees, plus a call-out charge of £69. In total, they charged me £1300. The job wasn't even done, and they left a mess. I was left with broken toilet furniture and no problem solved. I wanted to dispute the charge, but the big man stood over my shoulder and wouldn't leave until I transferred the money into their account. A total bullying and harassment tactic. I wasted all my money. When I spoke to the boss and mentioned the charges in excess, he said they had been in court many times and weren't scared! I only wish I had read the bad reviews before calling them :-(

Its a scam company making money through call-out charges. They keep their charges hidden just to rope you in and force you to pay for call out

DO NOT USE! Hidden charges, that turn a competitive call out charge into a massive bill. Purposefully took longer then needed so they could increase the hourly rate. Intimidating payment technique demanding bank transfer before leaving the property. Sub standard of work carried out.

Couldn’t even locate the right drain to block had to walk him through the whole unblocking procedure. They couldn’t remove the plunger stuck in the drain. If there was zero star I’ll give it to them. I contacted them in a panic . Should have done my research first. One word daylight robbery

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
Very disappointing experience. The plumber assured us in person that he had extensive experience with similar jobs and that he could fix the issue or make significant progress within two hours.

Instead, he spent nearly two hours attempting to unscrew a single part before finally admitting that he could not do it and could not resolve the problem. It was extremely frustrating that it took almost two hours to reach that conclusion when an experienced professional should have been able to assess the situation much sooner.

The issue remained completely unresolved, yet we were presented with an invoice of over £700, including additional charges that were not clearly explained upfront. Given the extremely high hourly rate, it felt as though time was unnecessarily spent on a job that was never going to be completed.

Poor communication, hidden charges, wasted time, and no solution. I would not recommend this company.

Plus - they arrived within an hour and the plumber was very professional and courteous.

Massive negatives...it is a licence to print money! Preying on people in an emergency situation. My mum called them and was told £50 call out fee plus hourly charge- fair. However when the invoice comes the hourly charge is £289 plus an "admin" fee of £83. The parts were reasonable at £80! So all in all when vat was added £603 for an hour😱

Oh and you need to pay by direct bank or there is a 2% surcharge and the plumber won't leave until you have paid....presumably because otherwise if people got the bill later they wouldn't pay

Wish I had read the TrustPilot reviews to avoid my stressful experience with all of the experiences already mentioned. I will not touch this company with a barge pole. Never again.

Please DO NOT use this company. I wish we had read the reviews but panicked. I actually rang off originally but was called back within seconds and suckered in. Horrible people who don’t give a damn and charge EXTORTIONATE hidden fees on top of an extortionate fee per hour. The actual plumber seemed fine but I can’t understand how he can work for such scammers. I hope they get their comeuppance soon.

Don’t use this company! The plumber did a good job, but the company hid lots of additional fees in the fine print of the agreement that were not obvious on the initial email. They charger us for loads of expensive extras that we fairly assumed would be included in the hourly rate, such as the use of tools/machinery.

We were advised of a £60 call out charge before booking but no other costs were mentioned until the plumber arrived (nearly 2 hours late). My husband then received an email to say it would be £289 per hour! The female representative then dropped the price to £220. Even so, it was deliberately misleading so we asked the plumber to leave. It took a while to coax him out of the flat. We then had the female representative trying to extract £60 from us. We had to start filming and recording as it was getting out of hand. At that point she dropped it and the plumber left. All very stressful and very unprofessional! Avoid at all costs!

In addition to what the others have said, overcharged and they con you once they are in your home. Took payment twice and refused to refund me despite me sending proof. Even my bank said they had the money. Total Scammers - had a major leak but never again. Overcharged for materials and extra add ons. Upsetting and prey on the vunerable. Another company tried the same tactic the other day but fortunately I knew after this experience that they are con artists too. Be careful when company says they will quote you labour costs when they get there.

TOTAL SCAM!!! Would not tell us a price over the phone told me it was £50 call out fee. Came to the property did NOTHING charged £400 and left. Told us they will tell us within the hour if they can fix or not so basically paid for NOTHING. Exorbitant fees, awful company. I was charged for 3 hours work at £300 per hour plus call out fees and admin fees. The work could have been less than a hour. The engineer went out for over an hour apparently to get parts even though plumbing shops and hardware stores are 5 minutes walk. Highway robbery. If I didn’t pay engineer won’t leave and undo everything. I was charged VAT though not sure if they are registered for VAT

Took advantage of our emergency and failed to mention the hourly rate on the phone as well as all of the extra hidden fees. Almost £600 charged for replacing a washer (about ten minutes work) because it was a Sunday. Absolute madness.

Absolute thieves. Took advantage of my mum by confusing her, charged extortionate prices for simple parts. Wasted time by extending the job that should have taken 30 mins to 5 hours! With an hourly rate of 329, we could have had a whole new bathroom fitted for the cost of close to £3000 just to fix a leaking bath trap. AVOID.

Complete rip off, no matter what they tell you hourly rate is £280. Do not use this company.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Luckily I worked out that these guys were robbing B#####ds early on and avoided being taken for over £2000.00 for a fairly simple fix. I sent the lady at the office … (if there even is an office )images of the parts that were needed and asked if the plumber would have them on his van… Was clearly told YES !
During the call out I was told he did not actually have the parts at all and he said it would take up to two hrs to get them at the cost of £300 per hr 😳 there is a City plumbing store at the top of the road !
He sat in his car in my yard for 15mins doing nothing which technically would have cost me £75. When he did finally leave I followed him up to City plumbing with a different jumper on and took my glasses off, then stood in the shop right next to him while he ordered the parts. I recorded him on my phone saying “the client is crazy” and that he was going to take three hrs to do the work ( even though he had previously told me it would take an hour) I am sure this was because I had questioned that the parts for the job would cost £1000.00 as he had told me before he left and the reason why I followed him to the plumbers merchant in the first place.
There was only one part that the supplier did not stock but the bill for the rest came to £147.60 inc VAT ,on my phone I recorded the plumber clearly being quoted this price then waited for him to leave the shop. 2mins later I called him and asked how much the parts were that he had ordered and was told over £300 and he still needed to get more !
I twice asked him to clarify that this was for the bits he had ordered from City plumbers and he said yes. I then said “ are you sure they were not £147.60 … the idiot still said no it comes to over £300
I then told him he was a liar and that I was in the shop at the time and recorded the whole conversation. By this time I had gone outside to confront him by his car where he started to get very irate and angry but obviously did not have a leg to stand on when shown the recording. I then said that there was no way I could trust them to do this job and so he got in his car and drove off. I had a call from the office trying to charge me £300 for the time he had already taken which I refused to pay and explained what had happened.
BE REALLY CAREFUL WITH THESE DISHONEST INDIVIDUALS, AS SOON AS YOU CALL THEM OUT YOU ARE IN DANGER OF BEING MUGGED OFF. THEY MAKE FORTUNES PRAYING ON PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY HAD A DISASTER HAPPEN IN THEIR PROPERTY AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPPERATE. SHOCKING !!!

Also known as 24hr engineers. 64 Aider Crescent Luton LU31TH address. Along with all of the other reviewers we got sucked in by this cowboy of a company with a low(ish) £69 call out fee. In the end they charged us £69 + £349 ph (for 15 mins work) + 20% of the bill AGAIN as admin ???? plus £68 for the equipment they used. Plus the VAT
All in all £645 to unplug a sink.
It is the most outrageous company i have ever experienced, underhand, on the edge of legal - one star is too much. Only given it so i can leave this review.
