The smart feeder has been somewhat of a disappointment. I’ve been trying it for a month so this review is based on weeks of use. The app will tell you that your changes (in open and close time) are saved, when in fact, they might not be - the only way to tell is to be there to watch it yourself. Customer service is slow, doesn't read through the request, and gives pat, unhelpful responses that don't provide the support I've asked for. It's such a disappointment when I had such high hopes for this great concept feeder. It's just from a practical perspective, when my hens don't want to feed from it, and the customer service is absent for days with the excuse of "we're busy" and generally unhelpful as I seek productive and helpful suggestions and not simply a regurgitation of everything I have already tried, it’s just not stellar. It just isn't at all what I'd hoped my experience would be. I'm giving this three stars because the product doesn't work as well as it looks, and my hens have to be bribed with mealworms in the cups to use it. Chatgpt was much more helpful with encouraging suggestions, and that's a sad state of affairs considering I didn't pay Chatgpt. In fairness, my coop isn't near the WIFI even though I use an extender (it's not that far...the back yard) but even so, I was informed that the feeder would still open and close on the times I set up. They do, but I had to learn from my own trial and error that if I change the times, I have to empty the feeder and bring it into my house to reset it. My hens do use the insulated waterer which is a well designed product, and I thought the smart feeder would be as well. I'm disappointed in this but I acknowledge that other flocks might like it better than mine do.

Very disappointed in the waterer and feeder for the price of them. The waterer cups get dirty all the time from the chickens scratching the ground, and you can't just push the water out you have to have pressure to blow it out because it fills up too quickly. The feeder is so big the chickens (2 yrs old) are afraid to put their heads down to eat from it. I also bought the smaller hanging ones and the feeder is way to deep and they'd have to put their heads down again. I didn't use them yet because the chicks are only 6 weeks old. They will never be able to eat or drink from them. For the amount of money I spent I am so underwhelmed. People need to do more research before buying these products.

We have the Omlet Cube with attached run. The connection clips are absolutely terrible. We have had to reinforce with countless heavy duty zip ties. I am sure there are better options out there.

From the beginning, where the directions are different in their pamphlet as opposed to their videos, it only went downhill from there. Every part in their pamphlet has a 7 digit number which makes it a pain when looking for a part, as opposed to other companies that'll label parts A,B,C, etc. You have to flip back and forth constantly just to remember the 7 digit part youre looking for. Along with the directions being poorly written with barely any words. For example it starts out with steps 1-4, then at the end of step 4 says, dont do this unless you have a certain pole, why would you send me directions for a pole i may not have but also why would you not put at the beginning of step 1, that its only meant for 1 type of pole you offer ?
To continue,they got rid of their phone customer service that would answer right when you called, I had access to that for only 2 days before they went over to email due to the "increase of inquiries", something that took only a moment to get a resolution for, has now taken over 2 weeks and is still unresolved. (My first calls were because the pamphlet was showing different parts then what i had, they let me know they had actually changed those parts but didnt update their pamphlet or let me know until i called) I had also ordered an adjustable pole for a cat tree, but it was not adjustable. We then had to waste time by them asking me if i followed the steps correctly and sending me photos/videos on how to do it the right way. I sent photos/videos explaining what I thought was wrong. They ended up sending only pieces that I already had and did not need replacing. Neglecting to send the piece that seemed to be the major problem. I have written them again, but with responses taking as long as they have, this will just end up taking more weeks to resolve. I paid their high price tag to avoid inconvenience and to be able to have this set up for my cats quickly. I paid for quality and did not get that. Instead I received poor instructions along with poor customer service. To even return, you have to get a link from them through email to do so. Oh, and they ask you to measure & weigh the boxes before returning. Just all around so unhappy with this company, will not be purchasing from them again as I feel they now owe me money with how many wasted hours I've put into their poorly designed product & trying to communicate with them.

Great concept, if it worked. We paid over $300 for this and in less than 6 months, the plug in failed, the battery runs out fast, and then it got an obstruction error with no obstruction present… and no way to close the door manually. If app doesn’t cooperate, you are your chickens are out of luck and they are left vulnerable to predators. Just use a regular door & save yourself the headache

Overly expensive and false advertisement. They advertise a sale which I added item to my carton the 16th, Everywhere says sale is extended to the 17th, then proceed to get the deal on the 17th to checkout and the item is no longer on sale like stated. Everything is ridiculously expensive. Will be going somewhere else going forward. Don't falsely say your sale extended and then it doesn't.

The chicken products we've purchased, both now and for years, (an eglu, a small run, feeders, and waterers) have been sleek, tough, easy to clean, durable, secure, and... perfect! The reliability alone has been worth it's weight in gold. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Love my Omlet Pro. I live in the U.S. on a farm so predators are a large concern. My hens are locked up tight in their coop, and I’m not worried about them. During the day they are secure from raptors because of the run. The coop is extremely heavy duty and constructed well. I’m 59 and put it together by myself using the manual. My only comment is put together run on level ground or you’ll be like be using imaginative swear words. I put it together outside and since I live on a farm, level ground is non existent. But I got it put together with swear words inserted. My problem not the products. I did have two parts of run damaged in shipping, and Omlet got me those replacement parts quickly. I highly recommend the pro and have a mixed size flock of 14 in it. It’s more than Omlet recommends, and despite them having an additional coop, they all pick the Omlet. I actually plan to buy another and the walk in run, because chicken math is real.

Great customer service! I needed an attachment to our walk in chicken coop, but wasn't sure which one. The service representative helped me over email and was even able to get it shipped in the original order, saving me additional shipping! Highly recommend this company for not only the products, but also the customer service. Nothing but outstanding!

I have a lot of Omlet products and love all of them! We have both the original and current hamster cages, a large coop for our chickens, a small one for our small breed chickens, a small coop for our ducks, a rabbit hutch + plus playpen, dog bolster beds, and scratching posts. Everything has held up well for the most part. My only issues have been plastic clips on the runs breaking, the tarp ripping, and I wish the dog bed covers were easier to remove and wash. Minor issues compared to how easy the coops are to keep clean.

When we first built our henhouse, I had to go out every night to close the coop door to keep everyone safe from critters. Sometimes, I'd forget. Sometimes, we'd go away for a few days and have the neighbors step in, and they'd forget.
How reassuring to know that the doorway opens/closes automatically each morning/evening assuring us that our flock is nice and safe.
We opted for the little indoor light which helps find wayward eggs after sundown.
The most impressive feature is the battery life! Four batteries easily last 6+ months or more before needing replacement.
Thanks for creating such a great product and helping remove one item ("close-up chicken coop") from our daily chore list!

Love the innovative products that Omlet offers. When we found a latch on our 4-year old Omlet Cube coop was loose, I expected needing to order an entire new door. Happy to find the retrofit, 2-step latch option! Easy to install and effective. Also added a slew of clear tarps to our order in anticipation of winter coming (Midwest US). We liken the tarps to creating a greenhouse effect - helping block wind and snow, while allowing in sunshine and ease of chicken viewing.

Great product and easy to set up, but our hens can fly right over the fence without any problem. And their wings are clipped! We now use the fence for other purposes.

I loved how user-friendly the website is with tons of information regarding the products such as animated videos and pictures.

All of the products are phenomenally designed! Easy to clean. Very durable. And may I add, stylish! My hens took to the cube and chicken run right away! Almost two years later and the hens and I haven't skipped a beat!

Overall the system is okay for a very small flock but there are more bad points of the Eglu system than good.
Good: Cleaning is easy; parasitic bugs are not an issue.
Bad: Cleaning must be done daily to reduce moisture, especially in winter since moisture can cause frostbite for combs and wattles.
Good: Pretty well insulated.
Bad: No room for more than four regular sized chickens.
The vent facing the run cannot be cleaned!
The pen add-on is nice but once added the system can’t be moved. We tried with our tractor and skid and I thought it was going to fall apart!
Pen add-on is expensive and must be cleaned regularly. The pen is truly essential because the run is too small.
Just four hens can destroy the grass in a few days. I bought it so I could move the chickens around the property!
The biggest downside is if sub-zero weather with ice comes, as it did last winter, you cannot keep the hens in the Cube for days!! I had to move the Cube and Run into the barn for a week and build a cardboard box pen for them because I could not put the pad heater in the Cube and close it up! That would be cruel!
It’s too small and has zero light/electric outlet available.
I only have four hens. I started with eight but had to give half away!! This reduces our desired egg output and I spent the money to buy and raise them to adulthood.
I have the middle model.
If I were to do it over, I would have an old fashioned hen house.

After months of research,we decided on the Eglu Chicken Coop and purchased the original CUBE back around 11-2022...it was perfect for what we needed...mostly the fact that its super easy to clean.
I will say assembly can be trying at times..there are a lot of parts and instructions vs. videos can be confusing..but it was doable for 2 old folks.
With that said....we loved it so much the following year we bought their new PRO model....and a RUN..and a WALK-IN....and few months ago,we bought the Eglu UP....so yes..we have all 3 coops,walk in and run....Had a few problems with missing this or that..nothing major and customer service was ALWAYS right on it and any questions we had were answered ASAP...(Shout out to Freya in the UK! best customer service even for us in the USA!)
Expensive,yes...but you get what you pay for and these will last for many years.So would I recommend Eglu....YES....but will also say..be careful,I heard raising chickens can be addictive..and we started with 3 and now have 17..but will never buy store bought eggs again..!

Had my Eglu coop for almost two years now. Six chickens. I live in an extreme weather area and it has held up great. We get crazy 60-70mph winds and snow and ice that gets well below zero. Chickens were nice and toasty inside the coop and I was shocked that it stood up to the wind also. Coop stays cool in the summer also. I like that I can take the panels off and leave it open all day for extra ventilation during the warm months. Super easy to clean. You don’t have to use bedding, but I put wood chips in the tray for some extra dryness and warmth. Also love that I can shut the nesting box so my ladies don’t sleep in there and poop all night like they did with my old coop. 100% happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.
